Very happy to have a real bagel shop so close to home. Being from NY originally and growing up with bagel shops I can say this place is legit. I bought a half dozen bagels and a half pound of potato salad. The bagels are so much better than Panera. They're very much like the bagels I grew up with. The potato salad was the real deal too. A vinegar sugar blend to the mayo and the taste of onion you only find in NY delis. They offer sandwiches also and next time I will try one. One last thing I haven't seen outside of NY, real NY style coffee cake. Huge pieces. I'll be trying that also. read more

Update in response to owner I would love for you to post the audio because you didn't not receive "quite the pushback". Twice I said she can't wear a mask and was told the baby must be wearing a mask. Because I was completely flabbergasted that someone would try to put a mask on an infant. Then I said that's fine and left after she asked me leave. She said I could go to it vehicle and CALL in the order. And guess what? I did call and once again, no one answered. So what was the alternative you offered for your customer? I work in healthcare and put my life on the line everyday, even while other businesses were closed so I understand better than most. Again, children under two are NOT allowed to wear a mask. That's not up for a business to decide. But you're within your rights to refuse service to anyone as I'm 100 within my rights to share what happened. Again, I will quote direct from the governor's website. Cloth face coverings should never be used on children under the age of two" A simple sorry and a promise to educate your staff on health guidelines would have a been a great response. Asking me to call and you would bring out the order was a great suggestion but as I had called three times that morning and never got through, how could I? The right way to handle this would have been KINDLY asking me to step outside and taking my order there and bringing me the food if you truly wanted to provide good customer service. I have been religously following every guideline given by the Governor and CDC since this pandemic hit and this was our first outing since. This just makes it more upsetting to me. How you treat your clients in this pandemic is how you will be remembered most. Sadly this will be my memory of this place. Being treated like a pirrah while following every rule and shuttled out. Here for the Governor's office so the business can educate themselves. Under two years old a face covering is DANGEROUS (more a suffocation and choking hazard than anything) and unbenefical. Update. Was loving the bagels when they opened. Now everyone I've tried to grab a bagel they're RAW. What good is NY water if you can't cook them right? Leave them in the oven for another minute or two to get it right. Had my bklyn peeps visiting and promised them I had a good Bklyn bagel hookup. I lost all credibility. Cook the bagels better. Brooklyn Bagels are probably the best bagels I've ever tried! A friend recommended I try it out since I was in the area. The line can be a little long, but it's worth it! I was able to place my order while waiting in line so I didn't have to wait too much longer after paying. I definitely recommend the lox and salmon on an everything bagel - definitely competes with several similar places that sell the same thing. I also like the sandwich with egg, cheese, and sausage. Look, I really want to like Brooklyn Bagels but my most recent visit left me with a dry bagel and wondering what I just spent over $10.00 on. I got a Jackie Robinson and an iced coffee... $3.49 for an Iced Coffee?! This is not Starbucks. I want to see this place succeed, and love supporting local but compared to the two major bagel places in the area, Yorgos and Bagel Baker they are way too expensive. I really hope they can survive once the tourists leave. I want to make this a morning routine, but honestly Wawa is cheaper.. My interactions with the staff have been pretty average. There is an up-charge for rainbow bagels because they are apparently very labor intensive. They did not make that clear at the time of purchase and the male owner went above and beyond from a customer service perspective to ease my confusion. Just to Compare... Native NYer also ex bagel shop worker . I was told there was a lack of decent bagels to the area ( which I only moved here two weeks ago) found this place and I'm glad I did . The bagels were delicious and fresh and soft . The cream cheeses seemed standard to me . I take a star away due to a small selection of bagels and the service is a little slow . The staff was very friendly . I'm hoping this business takes off and grows soon to include a bigger variety of bagels . The only reason I am giving them a 3 is because the bagel was pretty good but nothing else about the experience was. I ordered an everything bagel and scallion cream cheese on the side, sliced and toasted. The lady running the register told me they did not have coffee drinks. They just had coffee. I ask if it was a fresh pot, after all it was 11:45 am. She said yes it was only an hour old :). I asked for water since it was old coffee or canned drinks. When I went to spread my scallion cream cheese they only had spoons and I could not get it to spread because the spoon was so cheap (see pictures). My cream cheese was veggie the cook tried to pass it off for scallion so he did not have to package scallion for me. He gave me prepackaged ones but since they did not have scallion he gave me veggie. I guess he thought I was stupid because the lid had a V on it. When he gave me scallion from his prep table see picture it had a few scallion pieces and 1/3 of the way down it had zero scallions. I hope the owner realizes people stop coming when basics are not provided. That is how businesses are lost. OMG! Give your customers knives so we can cut our bagels and spread cream cheese. read more

Ordered takeout for a group of 4 and their service time was perfect. I was in and and out within less than 10 minutes. They are taking proper precautions during covid with mask requirements and wearing gloves. The food itself was just what I needed to wake up on a Sunday morning. Placed an order online. Said it would be ready by 8:17. Wasn't ready until 8:35. Ordered a rainbow bagel but got a plain one. Taylor pork roll was so over cooked it was crunchy like bacon.The actual bagels were good. Closest you will get to a NY bagel in this area. Bagels here are huge and very tasty! This places used a water filtration system to generate spring water, which is used to make their bagels. The food was very tasty. They also have home made cream cheeses. read more

Can't tell you how the bagels tasted because I never got the chance. Terrible customer service. I walked into the empty store and asked for 2 eggs scrambled with sausage on a plain bagel. "We don't do scrambled, we only do over hard." " You don't do scrambled?" "Well, we can make an exception since we aren't busy." "Great, thanks! I appreciate it! Also, I'll take an egg bagel with butter." Get the egg sandwich, it's scrambled and covered in cheese. I ask them to remake it without the cheese... "You didn't say you didn't want cheese." "I didn't say I wanted cheese, I said scrambled with sausage." "Fine." While I wait for the remake I check my buttered bagel. Dry as a bone, maybe a teaspoon of butter but whatever, he can add butter when I get home. Remake comes out...over hard. I now ask for a refund on it. "What's wrong now?" "It's not scrambled." "We don't do scrambled." "You just did, and covered it in cheese. Please just give me my money back." "I'll have to ask in the back." Comes back, drops the entire cost of the order next to me, pivots and walks away. Since they refunded for the butterless bagel too, I dropped that bag next to the register, pivoted and walked out. It's going to take a while for people to realize they aren't wearing masks anymore, and to be more mindful of making faces when a customer asks for bagels to be toasted. I can also see you rolling your eyes behind your glasses. I'll pay extra for butter. That's fine. No need to be rude about it. I had the Flatbush on an everything bagel with Swiss cheese and lite spicy mustard. I have no complaints really. But for $17 they can give you a little more meat on the bagels. If I could give no stars I would ... my fiancé and I came here for breakfast and I'm extremely disappointed . My total was $40 ... he got the Flatbush bagel with an egg ( which is like $2 upcharge and the bagel is already $14 ) and forgot his egg.. I got a bagel with sliced lox regular cream cheese and an avocado spread ... I got my bagel and they gave me the lox cream cheese and that isn't what I asked for and I still got charged more for the sliced lox .
