Came here on a Friday night around 11:30 PM and was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait at all, and we were seated immediately. The staff was incredibly personable, and the menu has a great variety, so there's truly something for everyone. Our waitress, Angelique, was so kind and attentive, she took excellent care of us throughout the night. We ordered the burger, wings, and pasta, and everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. They also brought out complimentary empanadas for the table, which was such a nice touch! The food did take about 30 minutes to come out, but honestly, it didn't feel long since we were busy catching up, and once the food arrived, it was definitely worth the wait. Bathrooms were clean, and they have karaoke night on Wednesday nights that sound fun! We were too full for dessert, but they all looked amazing. I drove over here because the reviews of the place are very very good. It's definitely an out of the way drive but I wanted to give it a shot. I was immediately greeted by the service staff and put at a table by the window. Today's order was a cheesesteak with onion rings, which were three dollars extra. The meal came out in approximately 15 minutes. The server answered all my questions and also upon giving me my food asked if I wanted a drink refill. The onion rings are between crispy and soft. They are tasty. The sandwich bread is fresh and is clearly made in house from pizza dough. The cheesesteak filling is properly seasoned, the peppers and onions are fresh. There is nothing wrong with the sandwich. It is very good! If you're coming here and ordering a cheesesteak and expecting a Philly cheesesteak, this is not it. We heard about the location for over a month now so we decided to try it . Sadly you need to pack your patience. We sat down and got our menus then waited about 10 min for drinks then we waited for the server to come get our order. So I ordered the pancake special with eggs bacon ,ham and sausage. They didn't have ham so no big deal my hubby ordered the French toast special with eggs double bacon and sausage since no ham . He also ordered the bacon and cheese Stromboli. More than 30min later we got the Stromboli and no breakfast. 20 min later we got our breakfast. Yes the food was good but it wasn't worth almost an hour wait . Sadly it seemed like they were understaff and a little unorganized. Will I be back to try it again yes but not for a while . . A bit disappointed. This is my 2nd consecutive mediocre experience here. Both times I've placed orders for pick up with issues. First time the place was jam packed so I excused the poor customer service experience to that. Hey new place, big crowd, I'll let it go that it took 10 min to talk to someone to pick up my food. 2nd time around, the app tells me it takes 40 min for my food to be ready, I give a little buffer and I get to the restaurant 50 min after I place. When I get there, there is only 2 tables sat. I greet the waitress behind the counter and let he know I'm there to pick up an order, she turns around and talks to the chef, who proceeds to JUST START dropping my wings. Wish I had read the reviews first! Walked the restaurant and asked a young girl at the counter where should I order. She pointed to the other side of the counter and told me she would be right there. I waited as she cleared plates and served customers at the bar. Another couple walked up behind me and waited. She looks at us, walks over, and asked the couple behind me how can she help them. Am I invisible?! The couple informed her I was in line before them. Well of course I was because I am literally standing at the counter she told me to walk over and they are physically behind me. I told the couple that she was fully aware I was in line before them. She just looked at me with a blank stare on her face. Very dissatisfied with my experience. I placed a delivery order around 9:30 PM since delivery was offered through their online system. About 10 minutes later, I received an email saying my order was canceled with no explanation, so I had to call the restaurant myself. I was told it was because they were out of one item. I asked if the rest of my order could still be fulfilled without that item, and they told me I would need to place a completely new order. As a result, my card was charged twice. After reordering, I was given a delivery time of 11:16 PM. When 11:20 came and went with no update, I reached out to customer service, only to be told that this location doesn't offer delivery at all. We then went to pick up the food ourselves, and upon arrival, we were told the order hadn't even been started because they don't deliver. The most frustrating part is that no one contacted us to explain any of this. We waited over an hour for an order that was never going to arrive. Wrote this review 2 weeks ago on Google and they hid it! Walked in tonight with a friend who was dying to try this place and will not be going back any time soon. Can someone fix the Google Review to give Zero Stars or negative? The atmosphere was crowded, loud and chaotic. We walked in, were not greeted, more along the lines of straight up ignored by the waitstaff. There was no direction on if you'd be seated by an host/hostess and there were large Burger King style tablets in the center of the room but again no direction if you had to fend for yourself or not. After a couple minutes of uncertainty, we looked around and i said aloud "we're outta here!" The customers sitting at the table closest to the door overhearing this made mention saying "now we're hearing that the food isn't that good." I've been coming to this Diner for about 5-7 weeks now. The service has gotten a lot better than it was on the 1st trip. The reason for that is that they were SLAMMED by a TikTok video giving this place great reviews. They were turning people away because they just couldn't serve them efficiently. I was here this evening and I keep trying new things on the menu each time. The menu is like a Cheesecake Factory, many pages and a lot of variety. I will say their Chicken and Waffle is delicious and messy (it is a half a chicken). Tonight I had a Philly Cheesesteak Quesadilla. I've had 3 diff servers since coming here, Ali is the best but there is one that works during the day that she tells you like it is (honest) and I like that in re to the food. I highly recommend this place, food is made fresh, the pizza is great, and the price is right. Service is better and they have hired 2 new servers that I've noticed tonight. Came here at about 10pm. We were aware other reviews said service was slow so we mentally prepared ourselves for the food to take a while. We first ordered the penne à la vodka with blackened chicken/no mushrooms and said we would put in more food once we figured out what else we would want since we knew things would take a while. Well about 25 minutes after our initial order we had to get up to go find our server to order a calzone. Other tables around us had gotten a free empanada while they waited- we were never offered one. There was some live music going on when we got there which was very loud but she sounded great. About another 20-30 minutes goes by and our calzone comes out. We were shocked because we had placed our order for the pasta way before we ever ordered the calzone. The calzone was pretty good but greasy! We finished eating that and still waited at least another 20 after that for our pasta to finally come which had mushrooms in it and no chicken in it. The server said the chicken would be coming. Well we ate the pasta which taste nothing like vodka sauce and still no chicken and they never brought the side salad it came with. Again, we had to get up to find the server and decided to just pay and leave at that point. We weren't checked on when we had gotten any of our stuff so not sure what the point of having a server was. I worked in the service industry a long time and at least better service could've made up for the long kitchen wait times for food. Don't believe the hype!! My husband and I went to the Brooklyn Diner because we saw it on Instagram and I wanted to treat him to dinner. With that being said, let me save you time and money. In our opinion, the manager is more concerned with getting paid from her customers than having returning customers. The server was good which is why I gave it a 2. Considering the place is Called Brooklyn Diner, and we're from Brooklyn, we expected to see more memorabilia's (pictures, street signs, etc) just to give it that Brooklyn vibe. We went this past Wednesday at 5:45 pm. The place is small, so we were surprised to see that they were setting up for Karaoke. We've never been to a diner with Karaoke but there's ppl who like it. We left at 7. I'm guessing Karaoke started shortly after we left. The diner was packed and the servers were busy going back and forth. Originally I ordered southern chicken only to be told about 5 min later that they were sold out, so I opted for 6 wings and my husband ordered a tuna melt which was good. After waiting approx. 30 min I received my wings, which hit my stomach like a bomb. Who knows how long they keep the same oil to cook their foods in. My husband's order arrived about 20 min later and the fries came 10 min after his tuna melt. He didn't touch the fries and ate 1/2 of the tuna melt because he aggravated. I asked for the bill and gave her my credit card just to expedite the process (my mistake). Before signing, I looked at the check and asked the server if they can do something considering how long my husband waited for his TUNA MELT. After speaking to her manager the server came back and asked if we wanted desserts. We declined because we just wanted to leave. She spoke to her manager again. She returned and said that being that they ran my credit card they couldn't do anything but if we came back to the diner then dinner would be on them. First of all, I was appalled that the manager NEVER came to our table to speak to us...that's basic 101 when you own a restaurant. Second, it's NOT a good way to run a business. Lastly, credit card transactions can ALWAYS be canceled!! Clearly, the manager doesn't care about her customers and knew the chances of us returning was close to NEVER. Overall, be weary because if they screw up your order chances are they're not going to give you a credit and the diner definitely looks livelier and nicer on Instagram than in person. read more

I like Big G's, but there are a lot of pizza spots and this particular spot isn't quite at the top yet. Service is great, very friendly. Deals are fantastic, like less than $10 for a couple slices and a fountain drink. But the pizza could use more sauce, maybe even be cooked just a little less. All that said, it is just over a mile from my office so very convenient. I prefer NY NY and Santoro's, but they are farther away. read more
