We really want to like this place but the last 3 visits the food has been awful! They have burnt the pizza bottoms and the cheese seems weird and just overpowering the pizza! Usually they are skimpy on cheese but not whoever was cooking these pizzas! Wife says she don't go back! I'm sad because it's so close to home. I order from them pretty regularly. The food is great. I literally just had an issue Wii's here a cold pizza that was ordered through door daSh. I have done this a ton, but have never had an issue. I called Brooklyn heights and spoke to Matt the manager. He was attentive and heard my concerns. I was pleased with his cUstomer service and his willingness despite it could have been the delivery company's faulty to rectify the situation. I have and will continue to be a customer there! I have been here many times and service is usually off some but today was the worst... I talked y'all up big to my friend, we are both in the industry. We came in to a sight that said seat your self, so we did. You only had two tables with customers, a waiter was taking an order and a girl clearing tables she walked by us at least 5 times never said a word. No one said a word... nothing. Ordered a pizza and was so bland, it resembled a pizza I made in grade school with basic ingredients and cheap toppings. The pizza was great. The atmosphere was fantastic. It's a great place to socialize, eat, drink, and watch a game or games. My only complaint was the slow/poor service we received. It took more than 5 mins to get our first drink order and we had to ask for refills twice before getting them. I ordered the house margarita and it was warm and watered down. The second one took 15 mins to get to the table and you could tell it must have sat at the bar because it was even more watered down and the ice was practically melted. We were ecstatic when we found out this place was opening in Crystal Falls. Unfortunately, after having gone twice in the last month, we've been consistently disappointed with both the food and the service. Let's start with our first visit a month ago. The waitress forgot our kids' drinks. My mojito was terrible AND expensive ($7.70). I asked the waitress if the buffalo chicken tenders were hand breaded or frozen. She said they were hand breaded there; alas, they were absolutely frozen. I don't have an issue with them serving previously frozen chicken tenders; I just would've ordered something else if she'd given me accurate information. An appetizer, a couple of drinks from the bar and dinner for a family of four was almost $100. I don't mind spending that much on dinner if the food and service are good but this was most certainly not the case. Our second visit was last night to watch the second half of the UT game. The number of TVs they have is the reason they're getting two stars instead of one, but we had another completely lackluster experience with the food. The bruschetta had so much garlic in it it was actually spicy. I love garlic, but it was simply too much. The cucumber margarita was as bad as the mojito and cost just as much We ordered pepperoni rolls and it came with two which they try to mask by cutting them in half so there are four pieces. They should take notes from a place like Maggiore's if they want to have these on the menu. Quantity issue aside, they just weren't that great. We really really wanted this place to work, and I'm actually willing to put up with mediocre food and service given the place is walking distance from our house, but our experiences thus far have been below even those lower standards. The food and bar menus appear to be just too ambitious for their ability to execute, at least for now. Lastly, the quality of the food and drinks just doesn't justify the cost. Until they can fix these issues, places like Blue Corn Harvest are a much better value for your dollars. Hopefully management will take note of the numerous negative reviews here and make some very needed course corrections before it's too late. read more

Living in Crystal Falls, we were very excited to have this in the neighborhood. We've been here three times since they opened. The food and sports bar atmosphere is very good. The pizza is great. Unfortunately, the service is TERRIBLE! The first time, we figured it was because they had just opened. That's understandable. The second time we sat in the bar area and it was worse. The third time we sat at the bar... just as bad. We ended up ordering much less than we wanted (drinks and food) because no one would take our order. I have a hard time chasing someone down to give them my money. We had high hopes for this place and are already deciding to go else where... We really wanted it to be better. To start this place is a little too cold and they keep the ceiling fans on on top of low temp. Server seemed knowledgeable and had recommendations but when ketchup was requested for the appetizer never brought it. I am on the fence about giving 2 or 3 stars. The service was pretty slow and the pizza was not more than average to me. The wings we also just average. When asked to turn the fans off that happened immediately so much appreciated. I didn't have a particularly "bad" experience at this place on my recent visit, but here are the highlights. I'm Italian.. suffice it to say that eating Italian food out is almost never the religious experience of eating it at home. With that being said, the Sausage and Peppers with Ziti dish I ordered was not too bad. And with the only other legitimate Italian restaurant, Luigi's gone from Leander, well, there aren't a lot of choices left. When entering the restaurant, there was NO ONE at the front desk to greet me. The one patron in front of me seemed to be waiting a WHILE for his take out food. When the hostess finally came back, she asked if I needed seating and it was a good 10 minutes I was sitting there waiting for someone. Not respectful of my time. Of course, there were many other servers floating around, but none asked me if I'd been helped yet, which is what should have happened. There were (at least) 8 TVs in the room I was seated, and I thought, this is an A.D.D. sufferer's paradise! If you need to have that many TV's on in one room, you're obviously not there to enjoy your food! (or to try to have any conversation with all that noise and distraction). With my meal I was brought a "Garlic Knot", and the name sure fit the item! It was a hunk of RAW, UNCOOKED DOUGH, which weighed several pounds, and could have broken glass windows easily.. I took a couple of bites and had to put it down. How could a chef not know that bread is supposed to be almost WEIGHTLESS if its baked right? Crowded sports bar more so than restaurant so it was impossible to hold a conversation with boisterous customers cheering their teams and trying to out yell one another. You either like that or you don't but it is what it is. We ate there as a family hoping to enjoy some great pizza. The table was so cramped with items I had removed what I later was told (with annoyance) was a pizza stand. She had other tables but they were all equipped with everything that they needed, but strangely not us. When we let her know that the food wasn't cooked at all she looked at us as if we were lying and we asked her to touch it she said no thanks, I'm sure that was a Covid reason right? She did offer to have it remade and we just told her to make it to go. We ordered the appetizers and the the young man that brought out the food was as polite as can be he was a trooper. I wish I could have gotten his name so I could shout him out! We did let her know that it was our first time eating there and we asked about the food and she really didn't answer the questions so we just ordered our dinner. Which if she would have explained the menu a little better we wouldn't have spent as much, she didn't offer to comp the cold food, which as a former server I would have done and also had the manager come over. Which didn't happen. We just paid $120 for a horrible birthday dinner for my son that has barely been out since Covid started. Wouldn't recommend this place just for the service or food. I really want this place to be better, close and convenient, not a big chain, you think you might be getting NY style pizza, but it's just not. The crust is not fresh, the sauce is barely noticeable, and the cheese/toppings are pedestrian at best. Also, I know the timing can be difficult to predict, but don't tell your customer it will be 45 minutes and then make the pizza immediately so it's nice and stiff when you pick it up. I understand bugs are bugs and they will sometimes be where we don't want them BUT, I'm pretty sure it's just dirty here.
