Went here today for the first time after hearing many good reviews, I had a lunch slice of pizza and salad the service was great very fast and responsive. The salad was a nice full salad but the pizza was not so great. I felt the sauce was lacking ( very little on the pie) but also there was little flavor to it. Also and it might just be a slice issue the crust was over cooked and soggy at the same time. I might go back but will not be getting pizza here as it just can't stand up to better pizzas. read more

My first visit to Brooklyn Heights was for a to-go order. I picked up the spaghetti with marinara and the meat lasagna. Both were quite good, though a little more sauce on the spaghetti would have been great. That is a personal preference though. The tiramisu and the chocolate cake also managed to find their way home with me. The tiramisu was really tasty, but the chocolate cake was insanely amazing!! If I could live on a diet of the meat lasagna and the chocolate cake it would be a perfect world. I'll have to try the pizza one day because I heard it is quite addicting. Brooklyn Heights food is quite good. Probably the only good Pizzeria-style restaurant in the area. They are family friendly, and their bar is perfect to grab a quick bite. Their prices however are astronomical. Definitely not worth the cost. Ordering food to go by phone is a challenge. It sounds like they are taking your order from the busiest spot in the restaurant. They also repeat your address and credit card information aloud to confirm. I'm sure half the restaurant can hear. I've also noticed their pizza size is getting smaller. A recent order for a large pizza only had 8 average to small slices and I was charged $30. Unless my pizza was gold-plated, I believe they are way over priced! read more

Their pizza is delicious & honestly some of the best NY style I've found in Austin (2nd only to Home Slice & Local Slice). I then asked if it was made correctly would the s erranos be cooked in the pizza, he said YES. So I said they threw fresh s erranos on 1/2 our pizza set it for a couple of seconds on a hot top and called it a day. He said YES. Really? I'm paying $15.99 for a pizza and you can't find the time of day to make it right??? What happened to Customer Service? I'm do confused because now that I have been there 3 times since my last debacle each time there has been issues...I am NOW blaming Management for not catching mistakes or teaching correctly. I know they don't care and think.they are making $$ But...Dude You could be making soo much more. Y'all... I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty upset. I do enjoy their food- I will start with that. I really enjoy it. BUT, my husband and i only can really afford to go to happy hour because the deal is SO good. (Half price wings and apps, come on, that's dope). So we planned a date night the other night, the first honestly since having our newborn son, and we walk in to realize that Brooklyn isn't doing Happy Hour on weekends anymore... This is actually a review according to my last couple experiences here, and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I'll start with the Saturday before the Superbowl, we had a circumstantial parent night out since the kiddo was with a friend. It was fairly late and we decided we would go here for a late night slice and some wings. I mean, after all, the staff has always been pleasant and the food is great and reasonably affordable if you hit the happy hour. We arrived to a slow dining area with 1 big table and maybe 2 booths occupied, the cocktail area was busy as always. Our waiter we have had before and is always accommodating and cordial. I see across the dining area that there is a boxing match on the T.V. which reminded me the UFC prelims are on FS1 and asked our waiter if he could turn it to Fox Sports 1, his reply was as expected, "Sure man, is it a game or something"? I replied with no, UFC prelims are on. He then proceeds to tell me that the owner does not allow UFC on the T.Vs and that it is too combative for a family restaurant. Now, this bugged me for 2 reasons, 1) We had been watching UFC there during the Eagle's SuperBowl deciding game just days prior surrounded by tables of drunk men hurling obscenities at the literally every T.V. but the one I was watching. I had to explain to my 6 year old that they are grown and are allowed to say whatever they want, awfully combative for a family establishment I'd say. 2) We come in here fairly often and I know for a fact this has never been stated nor is it posted anywhere, and I have seen numerous UFC events at this location on multiple occasions that I didn't have to request, they were already on. So, we finished our meal, discontent with a boring sports cast occupying a wasted T.V. that no one in this dining area was watching. We sat and listened to the plethora of adult themed, loud and obnoxious conversations coming from the cocktail area as I attempted to find something specific that would define this place as a strictly presented "Family" restaurant. Now, fast forward to today and here I am with a hankering for pasta. We decide to place a to-go order for some wings and Alfredo with some Garlic Knots, salad, and Poppers. The girls up front were pleasant as always. 54 and some change, but I did not realize that happy hour only applied to dine in and not carry-out. Oh well, my bad, it does say it on the menu. But , when we get home and try our food, wings are great, pasta is bland and had to doctor it up a bit. The salad though, the $7 dollar side salad, appallingly small. I have had bigger samples at Costo. And for $7 dollars I could get an entire order of Cheesesticks if I felt like sitting down. I found myself feeling a tad slighted after being slightly offended the last time. I am not sure if they are pandering to some of the more upscale demographic in the surrounding area or if they just aren't sure what they want to be. Love going here for the appetizers on happy hour. The cheese fries are amazing and come with no shortage of bacon, cheese and jalapeños. I love their wings and the pizza isn't too bad. I've eaten their main dish entrees a handful of times. It's not bad but I wouldn't rush over there to eat them. I'll stick to the appetizers when I go. They do have THE BEST chocolate cake ever. It's a piece about the size of your head and it's 4 layers. Think the chocolate cake from the movie Matilda. My mom and I love to buy one and split it half. You can eat on this piece for a solid 4 days by yourself or two days if you split with someone. Well worth the price. We have been in Austin a few months and finally got around to searching for wings. So I found this place and sounded good so I ordered a calzone and my wife ordered garlic wings. Needless to say it was more than disappointing for both of us. The wings looked like they spent 8 hours under a heat lamp and the menus says "jumbo wings". They were the smallest wings we've seen.
