Wow. I don't know what to say other than their food is terrible. The wings were dry, dry, dry and crunchy. The pizza was soggy and the sauce on the pizza taste really acidic. Comments at the dinner table were, "ugh", "this is terrible", "better than no dinner I guess", "I'd rather have no dinner." Even the ranch taste like it was made days ago. What I like about this spot is that it is one of the best attempts to replicate East coast pizza in Leander. Thicker bed of cheese/ chunkier tomatoes with solid marinara with toasty crust. The banana peppers and jalapeños were sound. What did it lack: oregano, basil, fresh mozzarella and more simple pizza options. What makes a genuine NY pizzeria is the commitment to excellent ingredients at proper portions in only a few forms. read more

This place has gone way down hill. Today was sorta the last straw for me. I went to this location Oct 18 and ordered my son a grilled cheese and a pizza slice for myself. When it cake out, there was visibly no cheese on half of the sandwich and the part that did have cheese was unmelted, while my slice looked like someone just threw toppings on from 3 feet above and didn't even try to distribute them. Parts of my pizza didn't even have cheese. I tried again today and just ordered wings for pick up. I ordered 5 pc wings with sweet thai chili and a chicken tenders plate with sweet Thai chili. The girl taking our order reads it back as "hot Thai chili" and I correct her. We go to pick up the order and she reads it back again as "hot Thai chili" so I tell her we wanted them both sweet, not hot. she goes back and has the kitchen fix the order. I get home and the 5pc are hot and the chicken tender plate did not have the fries. At this point I'm just not going back. This used to be my favorite place to grab a bite, but the kitchen is terrible lately. read more

Having dined here numerous times in the past, when we enjoyed excellent food, made our visit tonight all the more regretful. Our Brooklyn Heights Ultimate pizza ($19 for a med) was bland, undercooked and truly disappointing. A DiGiorno's for $7 would have been better. The garlic knots were not knots, just a hunk of over cooked bread with no garlic or cheese. The shrimp scampi was dry and flavorless. Is this ANOTHER restaurant we must write off for future dining? The ribeye cheesesteak sandwich was good, worth it to pay $3 to get a side salad instead of pasta salad fries. $3 margaritas during HH and half price apps and wings. Sooooo, this place is okay. Here's the scoop: Highs: -Great happy hour place. The HH hours are from 3pm-7pm, so you can get lunch or dinner at dirt cheap prices. The HH menu is ALL apps and wings on the menu, which is a huge selection. -Portions are pretty good sized and you will be full when you leave without breaking your budget. -The managers are super friendly. The MOD came by our table 3 different times just to check in and say high. Great attention and customer service. -Huge menu variety. There is everything from chicken wings to pizza to sandwiches to pasta. Everyone in your group, including picky eaters, should be able to find something to eat. Lows: -The food is just ok. It's not bad, but it's not fantastic either. Examples- The pizza could use more cheese, the apps could be warmer when they hit the table, and the fries could be crispier. -The service was a bit slow. The food came out fast but trying to get drink refills or other requests was quite slow. All in all, I would go back again and try more items. I don't think it would be on my must go all of the time list, but I would absolutely go back for happy hour with my family from time to time. read more

The pros : Same great food as the original place in Cedar Park. Really nice servers providing good service. Ready for business. Much better than when the first place opened. Well staffed. Management on duty to insure a good experience. Plenty of easy parking. No one noticed my grand daughter crying loudly. The Cons: It is very noisy. In going to BHP for the last year, the food & service truly went from okay to terrible. Yes I know COVID-19 changed a lot, that's understandable. One recommendation I'd suggest, if you want more business... add a true Gluten Free menu! My daughter has to have pure Gluten free, trust me you don't want to know what happens if she has gluten. They tell us, well it's not really a gluten free pizza, there's cross contamination, okay then don't mention it as if it's gluten free FYI. Last time we went, pizza for the rest of the fam was as black as black can get. The MANAGER JASON DISAPPOINTED!! I went there for a lunch special which typically includes a side salad and a lunch portion entree. They did not have the entree that I ordered so only got the lunch portion salad and was charged full price for the lunch special. When I asked the manager to clarify he was very rude and was clearly upset. He was very condescending! Unless you want to be treated like that, go at your own risk. They have gradually been disappointing more and more lately. Maybe that explains why they are hiring servers. They can't put up with a manager like that. read more

I hate that I have to leave this review but I've eaten here enough to be able to say that this a trend and not a "one-off". The food is good and so is the service. My issue which keeps coming up is that Brooklyn Heights charges A LOT for their food and when you bring that food home there's nowhere near enough food to justify the price. I love their penne Mac and cheese, it's the best I've found in Leander but they charge over $17 for pasta and sauce and my round aluminum to go container barely has enough pasta to cover the bottom! With a $1.50 tip I'm paying $20 and for what?? A sample?? You need to treat your customers way better than this. It's soooo insulting to charge this much for just pasta and sauce and hand out a tiny version of a lunch portion. I would be annoyed if I paid $9.99 for this serving much less $17. We've complained before and this is literally the 5th time this has happened. This to go container should be full to the top for almost $20. Inflation has come down a lot but not here unfortunately and we can't continue to just give our money away. We like the food and people but we won't be going back I'm sorry to say. read more

For the most part these guys are on their A game. But every now and then slip up and forget to put in your food order, or bring your drink from the bar. But not going to beat them up for that- was in the food industry for many years myself and sometimes you just get busy as hell and get lost in the weeds. I've really struggled with the decision to write this review or not and I decided to go ahead and write it. Yes, we are in the middle of a crisis and yes, we need to support local....which is what we tried to do today. We ordered two meat calzones (pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella, ricotta) and the total was $28. Let me start by saying these were the smallest calzones and they tasted hard and reheated. The inside was a scramble of sausage, mostly ricotta and I think some tomato sauce. I am honestly so mad we spent $35 ($28 plus tip) to support a business that was just not good. We will definitely never come back and I feel like there are way better calzones and apparently pizza that is to be purchased from other places. read more

While I highly recommend going to the Avery a Ranch location, we just had one of the worst experiences tonight when we got food from the Lakeline Blvd location delivered. Our order was wrong (ordered boneless wings and instead got boned wings), the fried cheese sticks were straight out of a pre frozen pack (still a little cold in the middle), and the pizza was a joke. Spongy crust, raw garlic, and just a bland coagulation of sauce and cheese. We've had some good meals from this place, but it's just gone downhill. read more

I have eaten there and ordered takeout many times in the past but the last two times have not been a good experience. Tonight I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with anchovies on the side. What I received was anchovies on the pizza which some people would not eat. To make things worse the cheese topping was dried out (not moist). Brooklyn Heights has one of the best happy hours in the area. Come in on weekdays between 3-7 and get half off apps and wings, $3 margs, $2.50 domestics, 3.50 crafts, and $1 off cocktails. Our favorite apps are the bbq chicken pizza rolls and fried pickles. We also love to order wings. They're pretty large and honestly taste just as good as plucker's wings for a fraction of the price. I ordered two slices of a specialty pizza to go. It was $21 plus tip. The slices were huge and basically were like small pizzas. Too large to handle eating without proper utensils so not a great to go option in the car. My fault. It was good. Crust was thin. Veggie toppings crunchy not overcooked. I am pretty sure I reviewed Brooklyn Heights Pizzeria at their Avery Ranch location before Christmas. This location off of Crystal Falls Parkway is several orders of magnitude better than their Avery Ranch location. I was there late on a Friday afternoon and ordered a cheese steak sandwich. The bread was extremely fresh, the meat was melt in your mouth tender, and the provolone the cheese melted in it was just right. Like other cheese steak sandwiches, this one had grilled onions and bell peppers but they did not overwhelm the taste of the meat. I am fairly certain they used ribeye as their choice of meat. I also had a piece of the strawberry cheesecake. It was light, had just the right amount of strawberry dressing on top and was easily one of the best pieces of cheesecake I have eaten. The service I had was very attentive. This location seems like it is brand-new based on the other businesses in this intersection. It is a couple of miles from other restaurants in the area but I suspect this will become a destination restaurant at the intersection of Crystal Falls Parkway and Lakeline Boulevard. read more

This was our second time to eat here over the lunch hour. It wasn't terribly busy so we got seated right away. As soon as we sat down I alerted the waitress that we were going to post a review of the total restaurant experience on Yelp and she shrugged her shoulders. I then said are you familiar with Yelp and she shook her head while looking down at the floor instead of looking at us. There was a fifteen second of silence and I asked is everything ok and can we place our order. She then said, "I don't want any trouble out of you." In all of my years of eating out, I've never had a waitress or waiter say those exact words to me. Then she went into one of the too much information(TMI) dialogues about how she was going to be leaving the restaurant in a week and was leaving Austin area due to allergies. Then she went into a mild coughing spell. I was kind of hoping she was not contagious. We ordered our usual lunch special of spaghetti with meat sauce and salad. We mentioned we wanted three additional meatballs each and I said to her that we had this about six weeks ago and that at that time the price was $1.00 extra per meatball added on to the $6.99 lunch special. She reconfirmed the final order .$9.99 for spaghetti meat sauce with three extra meatballs per person. She took the order. Everything tasted great just like the first time we were here. The bill arrives and it shows $13.98 for 2 spaghetti with salad lunch specials PLUS $$15.90 for the six extra meatballs. I had to do a double take on that. That was clearly not what we discussed. She had to get the manager, Bryan, to come talk to me about this. He said that "we" must have misunderstood to which I replied no, there is no way I would have ordered six meatballs for more than the cost of the lunch special of spaghetti/salad for two people for $13.98. He kept telling me that he could not lower the price to the agreed on $6.00 or $1.00 each per meatball because "he would loose money." I even shared with him that we were doing a YELP review on his restaurant and he said that YELP is only for people who complain and he didn't really care what people write. Wow. As someone who had owned five different businesses in my lifetime, I was taken back by that comment. I wasn't asking for the meatballs to be free but rather just wanted them to be priced at what me and the waitress talked about since it is not right there in the same space as the lunch specials. I even suggested to him that you put that as an option so your patrons could add that to the meal. He then said that is an appetizer and those are $15.98 for six meatballs. I said we were not ordering an appetizer but the spaghetti lunch special with a side of meatballs. I was getting a little uncomfortable having to keep explaining what was said between me and the waitress. We agreed on $8.00 rather than the $6.00 as I wanted to leave. The food tasted great which is important but having the communication dialogue between the patron and the waitress/waiter needs to be improved on here. I did leave a 10% tip just not a 15% tip. She didn't even thank us when we left. Won't be returning to this restaurant again. Thee are too many other places to try. We'll see if Bryan has what it takes to reply. We really want to like this place but the last 3 visits the food has been awful! They have burnt the pizza bottoms and the cheese seems weird and just overpowering the pizza! Usually they are skimpy on cheese but not whoever was cooking these pizzas! Wife says she don't go back! I'm sad because it's so close to home.
