I've heard mixed things about BHP's service et al and decided to try them for a quick lunch. Ironically, their service was fast and friendly, but that's about all the good I can say. At first glance, this is a semi-casual pizzeria/ristorante. However, it really aspires to be a pizzeria/sports bar. Note my picture of the bar area facing towards the main dining section. You literally cannot get away from a screen. Anywhere. In the bar, in the dining room, wherever, and the volume is loud enough that you have to raise your voice to be heard. This is during the 11:30am lunchtime, not Happy Hour. All would be forgiven if they served an excellent pizza pie - but alas, the slices I had were mediocre at best. Lukewarm everything, a too-soft crust, and a sort of 'eh, we'll throw some cheese on it' attitude. Yes, I'm being harsh but there are some truly excellent pizzerias in the Austin area. I'll try them again sometime when I'm in the mood to watch 5 sports teams at once and cross my fingers that I just came on a bad day. TLDR: Come for the TV coverage and friendly servers, not the pizza. This place scores a 2 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK being seen eating here by Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. We stopped in Saturday night for some Pizza. We were seated right away and the waiter came quickly to get our drink orders. He had a trainee with him, that he introduced as well. We ordered garlic knots and fried ravioli for appetizers. They came in a decent amount of time and were good. We ordered a meat lovers pizza. The runner dropped off a pizza that was not what we ordered, when we questioned him, we were dismissed as being incorrect about what was ordered on our pizza. As a different server passed we flagged her over and asked about the pizza we ordered vs what we received. She was very helpful and confirmed our thought. We indeed had the wrong pizza. She went to go fix, our wait team came to our table at this time and took the wrong pizza. He said we were given the wrong pizza and shortly after brought the correct pizza. His attitude overall was just very dismissive, I hope his trainee doesn't take this approach. While the service was a bit of a challenge, getting drinks refilled and the right pizza. The pizza was good. Unfortunately by the time we got it our appetite was just not there. This was our first time at this location, not sure if we will be back. Overall just not impressed. read more

Large slice servings. I'm disappointed in this place. My first time coming in. The pizza is flavorless and it's crazy to say I would prefer Dominos. The pizza at Brooklyn Heights is just bland. The bottled beer was a little warmer than I prefer as well. It could have been colder. Our server was fantastic and I give her 5 Stars out of five. Unfortunately I will not be coming back. Came in Saturday afternoon, this location is off the beaten path for some Italian food. It had a diner type atmosphere, it was a little hot in the restaurant but keep in mind it was well into the hundreds outside. I had the lunch specials which range from $5-7 dollars and one included a drink. The portions are large, a single slice would be equivalent to 3 slices in many restaurants. Anyhow I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and it came with a salad. I got the Greek salad and everything tasted fresh and the Greek dressing is a homemade blend which i recommend highly. The spaghetti was meaty and also a little watery, so the sauce got away with them today. The noodles were average. I give my meal a 6/10. My wife had the pizza with drink, and she loved it and she graded hers a 8/10. One other party member had the philly cheese steak and loved the amount of meat to cheese ratio and also gave a 8/10. Overall, especially for lunch it's hard to find much fault in this place and if your in Leander or one of their other locations it should definitely be on your try list. read more

I am not much of a pizza lover. I have to be in the mood and when I am, I'm not ordering from a big franchise like Dominoes. Decided to try Brooklyn Heights and so glad I did. I got the white devil which was the perfect amount of spicy for me. I think the sauce is made from unicorn tears...it's delicious! I got the wings with hot buffalo sauce. Again, perfect amount of heat for the sauce and the wings were crispy and large. My 19 YO son is a self described pizza connoisseur and he gave it 5 as well! read more

Live in town, here quite often and order food frequently to go for pool parties. Showed up today for lunch. Wanted a beer and some pizza while I wanted for my car to get fixed at Lambs. Wouldn't serve me with my replacement paper ID that the state gives out (meanwhile all my stuff was stolen almost 2 weeks ago). Wouldn't even look at it + my credit card for review. Bartender was rude about it, scoffed at me walked away and totally turned me off on this place. Not the first time I've had a more than un-welcoming encounter here. Had a water, took my business across the street. Im also going to say I'm 35 years old, I'm not in my 20s. I have 3 kids, etc. Like she couldn't be bothered by me, when I walked in. Her attitude was piss poor. Also saw her serve two other guys who walked in, not old, prob around my age, didn't ask for their ID at all. No questions. Server them up a cocktail. Needless to say, I probably won't come back, or order takeout again. Paying customers don't deserve attitude. On a positive note I guess it's good I'm getting ID'd? We often go to Brooklyn Heights before the Star's hockey games We went this past Friday and they were super busy, but we were seated promptly. We ordered 2 pizzas, the fried ravioli (Yum!), a meatball sub and medium buffalo chicken wings. Everything came out hot and delicious, and our server was very attentive and got us in and out in under an hour. They have great lunch specials, and this is a well run locally owned restaurant in a sea of chains, so get out and support them. read more

Terribly disappointed tonight with my online order. I realize they were extremely busy but I arrived at the time that I was told to by email. I waited 40 extra minutes! And I was not the only one ! They said their kitchen was backed up ! Why did people who placed their order after me get their order before me ? I only ordered a pizza and a salad When I questioned the staff they got very testy. One staff member named Kendall told me that I was rude. Is it wrong for a customer who ordered over an hour ago and prepaid for a tip online to inquire ? I don't think so. Without customers she wouldn't have a job! I just feel bad for the lady who ordered before me... I got a pizza before her! If management would like a tip from a customer .. give out free pizzas to those who have been inconvenienced by back ups or mishaps on the online ordering process or in the kitchen. I've been a patron of Brooklynn Heights since they opened. Because for the longest time we didn't have many options to choose from as far as places to eat or pick food up nearby I have tolerated the hit and miss quality of the food. Happy hour is always busy because must of the options are frozen/fried choices, lasagna is assembled individually after ordering so the flavors don't have the opportunity to melt and blend into each other~your not getting a big slice of lasagna cut from a large batch that has been carefully made like homemade lasagna. And the last time I was there I called my order in to the hostess answering the phone, she repeated it back to me incorrectly so I repeated it again, and then asked her to repeat it back to me again twice, and all seemed well. When I picked the order up they gave me someone else's food, and when they finally found my order the owner came out to chastise me about the difference between their cheese blend and fresh mozzarella, which cost more, and was the ingredient that I didn't want. He offered to refund me $.50. The fresh mozzarella on a large pizza is like $3.00 on a large pizza and I requested double shredded cheese, which is the cheese that comes on the pizza standard. On a Friday night at 7:30 he said he would have the kitchen make another pizza it would just take 5 minutes, and that scared me as I didn't want a pizza thrown together. The owner/manager argued with me about the pizza and the WAY I said "extra shredded cheese please-I do not want the fresh mozzarella, the pizza is not for me and my family prefers the shredded cheese", and because I asked for extra cheese they put the fresh mozzarella on it anyway, even though I didn't ask for it, and specifically asked them NOT to put fresh mozzarella cheese on it. I'm now 25 minutes into waiting for them to give me the pizza and stop arguing with me over requesting shredded cheese, instead of saying something like "I'm sorry for the confusion.....". I explained that I had groceries in the car and I would take the pizza the way it was because I didn't have time to wait for another one. When I got home my mom was so happy to have food, the disappointment on her face was such a let down when she showed me the bottom of the pizza was completely burned. This pizza was a $60 over cooked and burned pizza with the wrong ingredients on it. The lasagna was the worst they have ever made. There are waaaaayyyy too many Italian restaurants in the area like Salerno or Bella Sera to get good, fresh food, pasta, appetizers that aren't frozen and pizza made correctly without being burned for me to go through the aggravation I had just endured from a restaurant that I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars eating sub par food at. My advice....dine in or order take out at your own risk, and consider other restaurants before you waste your money. Thanks but no thanks. I won't be back for what felt like a beating for terrible food. If you want to dine at a restaurant and have conversation with your friends and family, avoid happy hour, and sports games as the tv's are so loud you can't hear anything anyone is saying at your table which is why I placed my order to go. read more

I am only giving this a five star review because of Crystal. The food here is great, the service is a little hit or miss. I love the bartender Crystal she is amazing and always very attentive and super sweet. Fried raviolis are the bomb and you definitely need to get them with the rosas cream sauce. I would normally rate The experience I had here a 4 or lower because of this other employee, but I think Crystal makes up for this experience: There's this one younger guy bartender that will only wait on you if you're his friend I guess and I came for lunch once and what I wanted to order food but after he asked me what I wanted to drink and never came back for an hour. I had to ask a waitress - not her section - for the check for my soda. While the guy stood around and talked to his friends at the bar the whole time. so I came for lunch, was never able to order any food, and left dissatisfied and hungry. Overall, food is delicious. Try to go when they're not so busy because they can get very packed. Service is usually very friendly and I would recommend sitting at the bar for the best service. read more

Across the street from this place is a Starbucks. Across the street from that Starbucks is a Verizon phone store. My family and I were in the long process of getting our phones updated and changed over to newer models, and we had about 45 minutes to kill while we waited. We walked across the street and got something to drink from Starbucks. As we continued to walk around, we noticed Brooklyn Heights Pizzeria. We were hungry enough to give it a try. We walked in the front door on which there was no sign about outside food or drinks. Then we were seated by the staff who made no mention of our Starbucks drinks. Our waitress came to take our drink order, then again for our appetizer order. She said nothing about our Starbucks drinks. We ordered appetizers, drinks, and main entrees. Our appetizers were delivered by another man, presumably a manager, who let us know, "in the future we don't allow Starbucks drinks here." Ok. That's reasonable. I mean, I recognize the principle. But really? On a Sunday afternoon when the place is almost empty, and we've been there for 15 minutes already, and nobody else said anything? That's when he wanted to make an issue out of it? It's a first world problem, I know. But I definitely didn't feel welcome after that. My advice for IN THE FUTURE is to discuss your outside food and drinks policy with your employees so they can say something BEFORE customers are seated and trying to relax. I'm not saying the policy is wrong, but why even bring it up to us at that point? It was handled wrong. There will be no future for us at Brooklyn Heights Pizzeria. The food was ok. read more

It used to be good. It's ok if you dine in, but the past few times we got pizza, we were better off going to Marcos. Id mostly say thats personal preference until they send this out the door. The moment we opened the box you could smell it. I've never received a pizza like this from an inexpensive chain like Marcos. I like this location much better than the Palmer one. It was still crowded when we arrived but the wait was only ten minutes. We were seated in the bar area at a high top table. This time we tried the pizza. Of course I ordered it with meatballs. It took a while to come out. During our wait we drank lots of alcohol. My martini was excellent and BF Mexican martini, he said was decent. We were also bumped numerous times because the walkway was between our table and the bar. The people at the bar were starting to get 3 deep and blocked he walkway. Finally an employee told these people to move. Yeah! Pizza time. The crust had a nice crunch to it. The sauce was not overly sweet. Plenty of cheese. Meatballs were superior. It was enjoyable. If it wasn't so packed and noisy as in really loud. We would come here more often. read more

I have been to many bad, even terrible restaurants, but this place is by far the worst. I don't think that one star accurately describes it. If I could, I would rate Brooklyn Heights Pizzeria as negative three stars. I ordered a barbeque pizza. When it got to my table, it was lukewarm. I ate it anyways and found that the flavor was just as disappointing as the temperature. I can't even describe what it tasted like, because it didn't taste like anything at all, except maybe cardboard and asphalt. Everyone I know who lives in the area has similar opinions and warned me against going here, but I wanted to give the place a chance. Eat in this time - late afternoon Happy Hour - and it was not crowded. Ordered wings (spicy garlic BBQ) again - still good - and they have a decent selection of beer. So - if you are into wings and appetizers for a meal - get here between 3pm-7pm - they are half price. I didn't read the menu close enough - so when I got the check - it was a pleasant surprise! We ordered mozzarella sticks for appetizers and they were literally the best I've ever had, i ordered wings and they too were the best I've ever had and my husband ordered chicken parm and yep! Great sports bar in a neighborhood setting. Wings are a good choice, the sweet chili is our favorite. The sports on the TVs in the bar area are a great way to eat, share and enjoy sports with your friends. Staff will help with that key hockey game or event you want to see. Pizza is fresh and tasty. I really don't enjoy giving poor reviews. But I really need to in this case. My first issue is with a previous visit. Maybe this isn't a problem here, but... we arrived when it was beginning to get busy, but there were still available tables. The hostess said she wouldn't seat us because there were only two in our party. They seated other parties of 4 or so who arrived after us. This is simply bad business. There is no more underlying story to this. It is simply a poor practice. I hope this has changed. Tonights issue is the calzone. Very poor quality. I recommend having one of your chefs go to Saccones on 620 and ordering one there. The dough was too thick and didn't have the right texture. The filling was a mess. Looked like mixed together .... I am not sure exactly what. My wife says it looks like someone... don't want to say it here... not proper food. It truthfully is the worst calzone I have ever had. Honestly... go order one at Saccones. Or perhaps remove it from your menu. Sorry for the blunt critique. We need a good place for calzone in Leander. I would love for you to improve this. This is our second time here, with years in between. The first time, it was maybe a 3 for pizza and salad, with decent garlic knots saving the mediocre pizza. It certainly wasn't worth giving a negative review. It takes a lot for me to do that. On this second chance, we made the mistake of getting a "meat calzone." Never do that. I know I have some standards from NY and Boston, but this wouldn't even make a major pizza chain standards. It was Italian sausage, pepperoni, and parmesan ground together, perhaps with ricotta, into an insanely salty meat cylinder and put into overworked/overcooked dough that was so hard you could hit it against the plate to make a clinking noise. You don't need to grind up pepperoni and Italian sausage more -- especially not homogeneously together! And there should be mozzarella and ricotta visibly separate from the meat. It was a truly a horrid calzone with more similarity to a bad pasty/meat pie. The garlic knots and salad (it actually used green romaine) were all that was decent. The garlic knots at least have good bread and were fresh, although they don't have much garlic for their name, and some more butter or cheese mixed in could be good considering the vast amount of bread. We got some overdone, but edible, buffalo chicken tenders and lackluster pepperoni rolls. All of that might have warranted a 2-3 rating if the calzone hadn't been so bad. read more

Went there a month ago and had such poor hosting treatment that we have not been back since. Went with a relative who is a big tipper and usually hosts groups of six to eight or more people. We arrived with six people and were made to wait for over a half hour while at,least 10 or more four top table stood there empty. Hostess said it was manager's policy to only set up so many eight top places and they would not put 2 four tops together. So we waited and we waited. Finally got seated. While ordering, another group arrived and all of a sudden the policy must have changed as three 4 tops were put together for them. Unfair we say! Well,we will be fair too. Always so good. First time at the crystal falls location but this location was way nicer. Fully stocked bar and lots of beer to choose from. I started off with the 512 ipa and it was good. We ordered mamas meatballs they weren't as good as I remember but still good. Also the pepperoni rolls man those were soooo tasty!!! Every time I come here I'm for sure going to order that. Ended our meal with some spicy Thai chili wings and they were delicious!! read more

Update: This place is a joke, poor Managment, poor service, poor food, and a bunch of little girls serving that could care less about working. Never will I ever step foot here again. Zero stars in my opinion. Problem right now is there isn't much to choose from out here right now. When new places open I guarantee this hole gets closed down. The ONLY good out of this place is happy hour. Half price apps and wings and their wings are really good. The apps are okay for half price but I would never pay full price for them. The BAD: The meat lasagna was so gross I had to throw it out. The meat tastes bad and it did not have any ricotta cheese. Just chalk full of disgusting ground beef. The fettuccini Alfredo was also undesirable. Tasted like there was a bunch of Parmesan in it and I couldn't eat that either. Better Alfredo from dominos at half the price. Spinach/artichoke dip- also gross and had the shits all night long from that. I was so hungry that I ate it cause I didn't want to wait for something else or complain. Decided to try this franchise again. We ordered a couple slices of pizza. They came out fairly quick, which wasn't a problem. The bottom was cooked well but the top wasn't. They piled toppings on a half cooked slice. Which isn't a bad thing if you're aiming for speed and not quality. We complained and the waiter explained that this was a common theme with the slices. He suggested a regular pizza and we declined. I have a problem with known problems that haven't been fixed. In any business and other situations. If it's bad, fix it. Even if it means you don't serve it anymore. I can't go back because of the lack of care by the kitchen staff and the management that allows it to continue. I doubt they'll do anything based on this review. It's ego and arrogance. read more

Skip the delivery! It's a mess. I messaged this to them and got ZERO response: "I placed an order with you guys at 7:30 for a large pizza and salad w/ ranch. We were quoted 45mins for the pizza and it arrived in about 40. Yay! When we went to enjoy our order, I discovered we were missing the dressing for our salad. If this was papa murphy's or some random chain, I'd grab the crappy Hidden Valley from my fridge, but your homemade ranch makes the salad... that and it was an $11 salad. I called you guys back at 8:18, to see about getting some ranch, since we live 5mins away. The girl who answered said they could send the guy out again. At 8:57, I called a third time to see if she could give an ETA on our dinner hold up (we've had the pizza sitting in the oven on warm this whole time). The ranch came within 5mins, but the message I sent them to let them know of the experience went unanswered. Disappointed!! we frequently eat at this establishment and today they lost our business. it was my husband and I plus our toddler and we were quoted 20-25 min wait. As we were sitting for over 30 mins we saw several tables being seated before us. When I questioned the hostess they said a table of 6 had precedence over a table of 3. I asked to speak to the manager and he was so aloof about it all.
