We spent a stressful afternoon searching and eventually took a chance on BKLYN Petsitter. If you're in the same boat, stop looking. Richard is great. Richard (the sole sitter, despite the corporate-sounding name) is easygoing but also professional. It's a comforting combination and one that we appreciated after a couple of earlier attempts with more well-meaning but gypsy-like sitters. We're cautious, maybe even a little paranoid, about who we give apartment keys to but within five minutes of meeting him, felt reassured. We've had no hesitations about leaving him alone in our home since our return that first week to an apartment that was exactly as we'd left it. In our opinion, he is incredibly trustworthy. It's been two years and Richard's sat for our cats almost a dozen times - often at the last minute because we're so bad at planning ahead. Sometimes it's been for one night, others a week or more. We have no complaints, so finally got off our asses to leave a review. Despite being skittish and a nervous wreck when we returned from trips using other sitters, our one persistently neurotic cat has thrived under his care. She's usually lounging on the ottoman when we return, instead of hiding behind the desk and needing to be coaxed out. The other cat was on a medical regimen for months with as many as 3 different meds taken various ways and at different times. No problem for Richard. On return, our cats have always been healthy, clean, sociable, and remarkably relaxed. Richard's laid-back persona reassured us when we first met him and carries over to his behavior with our beasts, who treat him like one of the family now. He's kind to them, competitively priced, always there when we need him, cleans the litterbox, and can be trusted with our keys. Seriously, stop looking.

I have never used a cat sitter and I have had my cat Felix for five years. I finally had to hire a cat sitter and I couldn't be happier with Richard. Before I went away, Richard came to my apartment to meet Felix and me and I was immediately put at ease by his gentle and caring nature. As for the visits (I do 2 a day), Richard does exactly what I ask, and the best part is that he texts at every visit to let me know how Felix is doing. I have used Richard twice so far and I will definitely be using him in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We do have a stray cat which we brought from Istanbul, Turkey to here. When found she was approximately 1.5 years old and when she was in heat, we gave her a hormone shot which helped almost a year but now she is like 3 years and whole last month she was in heat and started peeing into laundry basket, to boxes and we finally decided to spay her rather than having kittens. My husband had taken Muffin to Full Pet Services last June for the rabies shot so we took her there again. $55 per check up visit and $85 for the blood test before surgery. We scheduled for following day not to linger our worried days. First of all, 2 types of anesthesia. One they can feel what's going on like half awake, skip that, go for the other. They will ask you to leave your pet at 9 AM and pick up at 4 PM or a bit earlier when they call because they wait until the animal awakes. I don't want to sound like the picky parent but the front desk and assistant ladies might be a little sincere and try to relieve you. They ask you to sign the paper where it says " If animals dies, vet is not responsible " as if you shopping for groceries. We understand it is mandatory or whatsoever but believe me, imagining your pet dead does not help at all when asked to leave her behind and wait for a call. Thanks God, we received a call around 3, picked her up. Vet Igor told it was so good that we decided to bring her for spaying because she had a unique problem that he also never had seen, something about her uterus being connected to her some bone which means she could never had kittens so with one surgery, she got 2 problems solved. First 2 days, she was weak and still under anesthesia, did not eat or drink much. To avoid contact with stitches, had e-collar on at all times, she achieved to take it off so we had to tighten it, we literally stayed awake to make sure she doesn't jump and fall. We even put the cat tree down on the floor. Was a hard and long week, her scar is quite healed now and we took the collar off on 9th day. Stitches will go away by themselves, prefer the antibiotic shot at the clinic than the 7 day pills. They will give you 3 pills for pain and inflammation anyway for daily use. We paid about $430 on the top of $140. $570 for everything. I know it has been a long review but I needed to read such info before the operation and sure someone else will make use of it. Thank you Dr. Igor and employees of the clinic.

1 Star - Absolutely unacceptable treatment from groomer and manager…read more I originally booked with a groomer named Tristian and had the best grooming experience I've ever had. He was professional, attentive, and handled my dog with care. Naturally, I rebooked--only to find out he was no longer available, and my appointment was reassigned to someone named Angela. From the start, this appointment was a nightmare. I gave clear instructions: * Don't dry my dog - he's fearful of loud noises * Don't trim his nails - we do that at the vet * I booked the first morning slot to minimize his stress and pick him up quickly I returned nearly 3 hours later to find my dog still locked in a kennel soaking wet, while Angela was grooming another dog. She ignored me at the counter. When I knocked on the glass, she came out visibly annoyed, told me my dog was "in the dryer," and walked away. Minutes later, I received a generic "your pet is ready" text, and the store manager appeared. Angela walked right past me without a word. When I voiced my concerns, the manager claimed Angela "felt threatened" by me and defended her behavior. No apology. No accountability. To top it off, my dog was handed to me still wet, confirming she had blatantly lied about drying him. I requested and received a refund, then filed a complaint with corporate. Shortly after, I discovered my grooming account was disabled, which feels retaliatory. This was by far the worst grooming experience I've ever had, made worse by the store manager enabling it. Neglecting basic instructions, being dismissive, and retaliating against valid complaints is completely unacceptable. Currently on my second complaint with Petco from this same experience and disabling of my account to book further appts.
