Bar/Seating

It was getting late on a weeknight and I was dying for a good pizza, but my first choice was inexplicably closed. I sat in a pitch black parking lot, trying to find an alternative before closing time. I had just talked about Brooklyn's Finest with a friend, so I decided to give it a try. Their Web site said they could produce my pie just before closing time, so I placed my order and headed south on Broadway. Even in the evening, trying to find parking was difficult. I went around the block twice before finding a spot on Lincoln. Another customer parked right behind me and we headed west on Cedar Avenue to retrieve our pies. Brooklyn's is right on the northeast corner of Cedar and Broadway. The patio and side of the business face Broadway with the entrance on Cedar. The space is warm and welcoming with an expansive bar and two sections of seating with overhead doors, one opening to the patio. The staff was friendly and efficient and quickly brought out my order. It smelled great, so I hurried home. The smell was not deceiving, the pie looked great and was perfectly cooked. I ordered a small New York, New York: red sauce with pepperoni, sausage, bell peppers, red onion, mushrooms, black olives, and mozzarella. The ingredients all tasted very fresh and generously covered the pizza. I have had some real pizza disasters lately, so I was thrilled to get a pie that was perfectly cooked to a golden brown. The crust had a great chew and held up well to the ingredients. The sauce had a nice, spicy bite. Everything went really well together. I just had the leftovers for lunch and they tasted even better. I'm not a native New Yorker or even a frequent visitor to Brooklyn, so I can't speak to authenticity, but this was a delicious, well-made pizza and I enjoyed it a lot. It really hit the spot. This place should definitely be on your pizza rotation.

Service was good, seated right away. Lots of TVs to watch college football on a Saturday evening. Our starter came after our entrees were served but the eggplant was fresh out of the oven when it finally arrived. The pizza was good but not exceptional. The crust was a little floppy and not exactly crisp.

So excited they are open! I ate at the one downtown before we closed our office and have been waiting for this location to open. The food is soo good here. Their sauce isn't sugary and their garlic knots are better than Benny Blanco used to be. RIP Benny's XOXO. The chopped salad is delightful. The meats and cheese are cut in small squares so the salad has a nice consistency and the bites are all flavorful. The service was so friendly. Al and Chad were attentive social and fun. They play sports and have lots of tvs. The restaurant was designed so no matter your seat, you can see a tv. This will be a fun place on Sundays. They have live DJ's starting at 9:45 on the weekends. They also have nightly deals during the week.Their Stromboli is like no other. They have a fulll bar too.

This is my 2nd time eating here and they never and I mean never disappoint. The pizza is always so freaking delicious and the staff is always so friendly. I got two pizzas and a drink for under 15 bucks o believe. The pizzas I got was an everything pizza and the other one I honestly can't remember it has white sauce with chicken and I think bacon and that by far was my favorite. Next time I will get two slices.

Gluten and dairy free beef pepperoni pizza

They have really good gluten and dairy free pizza and it's fairly priced too! The service is always attentive and the ambiance is relaxing and fun.

I'm very glad this place became Brooklyn's Finest! We needed a good pizza place on broadway. I love what they did to the place, it's very NY and also just like a cool place to chill. The bar is huge and overall the place is big. You can have a party here! The food was delicious. Started off with their famous garlic knots and knish. We also had their Monday Special, it's buy one get one free spaghetti and meatballs. The food was just so delicious and fresh. We also drank Malibu Rum frozen pina coladas that our waitress recommended. They were refreshing and tasty. Our waitress was very down to earth and friendly. I'll be coming back again soon.

No matter what you get here, you will enjoy it. I haven't had a bad dish or drink here. Do not skip out on the Per La Tavola (for the table plates). They are all so good. We normally get the Piatti Di Cicchetti (olives, pickled veggies, and almonds), Piatti Di Salumi (prosciutto, salame, coppa), and the Burrata. They all complement each other SO WELL. Pair that with a white wine and you got yourself a time. The 2 course offering for lunch is also phenomenal. I got the Insalata Mista (lettuce, shallot, reggiano) and it's a decent sized salad and very tasty. The Mafaldine (lamb ragu, pecorino romano) is to die for. Such great flavor and the pasta is always cooked perfectly. The service here is always top-notch too. The staff is very well-trained and is on top of everything. Truly a well-oiled machine. The atmosphere here is impeccable too. We were seated at the front by the window, which was nice. It did get a little hot in the restaurant as more people arrived, since it has been unusually warm in Denver this season. We split six plates and were stuffed by the time the celebratory dessert arrived. We started with the burrata, which paired well with apple butter and pickled apples. The arancini was a fusion of Indian spiced cauliflower with mint-cilantro yogurt raita. My favorite of the Spuntini dishes was the Granchio--jumbo lump crab served over a crispy potato cake with butternut squash and a perfect 63 ° egg. We split two Primi dishes: their special of the day pasta, and the Cappellini Aglio e Olio. The Cappellini was amazing--a perfect blend of Indian spices, breadcrumbs, and another 63 ° egg. Yum. If you love scallops, the Capesante dish is not to be missed. These were some of the sweetest, perfectly prepared scallops I have had.

The special happy hour sandwich was the Porchetta Sando for $8. Basically a slider. It was so good, I had another. I paired the food with a glass of Spanish Golban Crianza ($7.50!!). A full bodied red wine for porchetta. I decided to treat myself with the Amaro cheesecake and a pour of Lucano Anniversarie, $12 each. Nice cheesecake with chocolate slab on top. The Amaro was not bitter. Including tax & 20% tip, it came to $105. The food was not rushed. The restaurant steadily filled up by 630pm.

The Theatre menu is the way to go for sure. For my first course, I selected the Insalata di Caesar. This is a very large portion of salad so be forewarned but it is also very good, so win-win. For the main course, I opted for the Pollo alla Milanese. Also, a huge plate of food. I was able to make two additional meals from the chicken. The tagliatelle was perfectly cooked and the sauce paired perfectly well with the breaded chicken. Perfetto! For dessert, I had to try the Budino di Caramello. The butterscotch was truly delectable. Starting with my favorite and the absolute knockout: The Dry-Aged Bistecca Agnolotti. Think of a ravioli pouch, but smaller and better, filled with meat, sitting in a bed of the most perfectly browned brown butter with thick parmesan shaves on top. You think it's over, and then your server comes and pours a sweet yet vinegary reduction on top. I'm actively eating it for breakfast as I write this. Insane. Will be thinking about this for a few days. The others in the group got the Spicy Lobster Rigatoni Alla Vodka, which is one of their most popular dishes. It was good (we swapped bites), but mine was better. For the table we split a Caesar (which I do wish had more dressing, but I love a dressing so that could just be me), filet mignon meatballs (4 in an order which was perfect for our group of 4), and the tuna and avocado carpaccio. Favorites were the meat and fish. We used the bread to sop up the meat sauce at the end. Lastly, the Chicken Parm Pizza was ordered for the table. Basically, the "crust" of the pizza is chicken parm. I think it's a little expensive for what it was, but I'm glad I got to try it with a bigger group. Can't imagine reordering it, solely for the size and cost, but it was a unique food experience. Drinks at the table included a Barbera, a Chardonnay, a Sangria, and a Spritz. All good. Overall, service was great, restaurant is beautiful, dishware is pretty, and vibes are sophisticated yet unpretentious.
