It's been 9 months since my previous visit even though they are only 2 blocks away. On this snowy Friday, I was their only customer for Happy Hour. I got a Italian chopped salad which was huge. I added a glass of Gascon Malbec. It paired well with the 10in New York New York pizza with a gluten free crust. Lots of pepperoni, sausage and mozzarella cheese. I enhanced it with bacon & jalapeno. I ate the 4 slices of pizza with a 2nd glass of the Malbec and plowed thru the entire salad. All good. I was able to use accumulated rewards and with the Happy Hour discount, my great dinner was cheaper than expected. I was served by Gia L. She was friendly and paced my order so that the pizza arrived after eating some of the salad. No automatic service charges. read more

It was getting late on a weeknight and I was dying for a good pizza, but my first choice was inexplicably closed. I sat in a pitch black parking lot, trying to find an alternative before closing time. I had just talked about Brooklyn's Finest with a friend, so I decided to give it a try. Their Web site said they could produce my pie just before closing time, so I placed my order and headed south on Broadway. Even in the evening, trying to find parking was difficult. I went around the block twice before finding a spot on Lincoln. Another customer parked right behind me and we headed west on Cedar Avenue to retrieve our pies. Brooklyn's is right on the northeast corner of Cedar and Broadway. The patio and side of the business face Broadway with the entrance on Cedar. The space is warm and welcoming with an expansive bar and two sections of seating with overhead doors, one opening to the patio. The staff was friendly and efficient and quickly brought out my order. It smelled great, so I hurried home. The smell was not deceiving, the pie looked great and was perfectly cooked. I ordered a small New York, New York: red sauce with pepperoni, sausage, bell peppers, red onion, mushrooms, black olives, and mozzarella. The ingredients all tasted very fresh and generously covered the pizza. I have had some real pizza disasters lately, so I was thrilled to get a pie that was perfectly cooked to a golden brown. The crust had a great chew and held up well to the ingredients. The sauce had a nice, spicy bite. Everything went really well together. I just had the leftovers for lunch and they tasted even better. I'm not a native New Yorker or even a frequent visitor to Brooklyn, so I can't speak to authenticity, but this was a delicious, well-made pizza and I enjoyed it a lot. It really hit the spot. This place should definitely be on your pizza rotation. read more

Currently writing this review from the lobby of the store as I have waited over 50 minutes for a $45 deep dish pizza that I was told has been overcooked and needs to be remade, mind you the entire restaurant is empty while the owner is getting belligerently drunk with customers while watching the basketball game. I ordered an Italian Chopped salad which was huge although it was 99% lettuce, there were a few remnants of pepperoni, didn't notice the salami, a few pieces of tomato- have to admit it was pretty lame as I felt like I was eating a bag of lettuce. My two friends ordered a NY Style pizza one person ordered the 10" and the other ordered a 12". The 12" pizza was exactly the same size as the 10" pizza, my friend pointed it out to the server and she responded no it's actually a 12" pizza but we use the 10" pan?????? Excuse me but we aren't stupid, then she laughed it off by saying that the person that ordered to 10" pizza got a better deal!! My friend said the pizza was good but the crust wasn't the best, probably use American enriched bleach flour. Ambiance typical pizza joint! Oh and BTW, they added a credit card surcharge to bill which I think it illegal because there is no disclosure about up charges on the menu or informed by the server. read more

I want to give a big shout-out to the owner, Carlo, and his entire staff! We held our daughter's high school graduation party at the South Broadway location, and it was a total success. I first called Carlo to inquire about hosting the celebration. We met in person, talked through all the details, and planned everything together. Once I sent out the RSVP to our family and friends, I followed up with the final guest count, and Carlo offered some great suggestions for the party. The food was amazing--everything was made fresh! We had pepperoni, cheese, and veggie pies, homemade garlic knots, and penne pasta. The drinks were flowing, and the vibe was just right. All of our guests were super happy and impressed--it was the first time many of them had been to Brooklyn's Finest Pizza on South Broadway, and they loved it! They also have a really nice patio setup outside, which added to the atmosphere. If you're looking for a great place to host an event, I definitely recommend checking this place out. So excited they are open! I ate at the one downtown before we closed our office and have been waiting for this location to open. The food is soo good here. Their sauce isn't sugary and their garlic knots are better than Benny Blanco used to be. RIP Benny's XOXO. The chopped salad is delightful. The meats and cheese are cut in small squares so the salad has a nice consistency and the bites are all flavorful. The service was so friendly. Al and Chad were attentive social and fun. They play sports and have lots of tvs. The restaurant was designed so no matter your seat, you can see a tv. This will be a fun place on Sundays. They have live DJ's starting at 9:45 on the weekends. The bar is huge and overall the place is big. You can have a party here! The food was delicious. Started off with their famous garlic knots and knish. We also had their Monday Special, it's buy one get one free spaghetti and meatballs. The food was just so delicious and fresh. First off this place was popping line out the door and a private party. They got us right in, and for how busy it was on a Friday night we got our food faster than I could finish my beer. Now for the good part. I got the Hell's Kitchen pizza was so good I burned my mouth and went in for more. But then I tasted a bite of the manicotti it was so freaking good. Glad this location is finally open after a fire forced some construction delays. It's on a great corner of South Broadway right near Alameda, and there's a huge outdoor patio plus plenty of seating inside. This is a much bigger location than you'd expect from the street, and although parking is a nightmare in this area, once you get here you're good. Service was friendly and welcoming. As you'd hope, they have legit NY-style pizza, with a crispy crust, plenty of cheese and foldable slices. My only issue with my pizza was the high amount of olive oil on top, but the flavor was excellent. They have a million pizza toppings and combinations, and you can always make your own too, in addition to sandwiches, calzones and a few pasta dishes. They have daily and lunch specials as well. I'd had pizza from one of their other locations before but I'm glad this one is here since it's closer to me. Hopefully they have a good run in this spot. read more
