The best!

First off, I don't consider myself someone who drinks beer - but I do know what I like and gose/sours certainly fit the bill! The nitros have been a new and fun option for me to explore and I always enjoy the chance to sample. I don't like a full pour so was grateful to have a half pour offered, I'd just never thought to ask for it! My most recent trip I brought my best friend who was visiting and has never tried sours. The gentlemen tending the bar let her try each of them before we decided - which was really neat because the flavors all stood out so differently. We left with a 4 pack of the Broomtail Galloping Gose Raspberry because it's a fav. Love having a tried and true go-to but also look forward to seeing what else they come up with in the future!

I've been coming here pretty much since it opened after working with some of the guys over at Broomtail. I love this place for beer, hanging out, live music, and the outdoor patio. I've come alone, with friends, and even brought my mom. They always have a great variety of beers for any pallet. They are centered around Sour beer, but serve pale ale, IPAs, and even have wine. This time I ordered the apricot plum #4 and it was so good. I did try just about all the Sours and usually go for a flight because I can't decide. I also ordered a mimosa for football Sunday and it was perfect. The staff are always great and I've just always loved the overall vibe. Even though I don't live in Wilmington anymore I always make a point to come back to Sour Barn when I'm in town. They will always be my go to! So glad to see they've made it through the pandemic!!

Awesome beer and a great patio. Their focus is on sour beers, obviously, but their partner brewery Broomtail is also on tap with IPA's and more. They really have a style for any beer drinker!

What can I say that hasn't been said before about the sour barn? The bad - parking. That's the only bad thing. The tasting room is fantastic! Spacious with a variety of seating areas for groups of all sizes. Out back is wonderful - plenty of space for enjoying your beer. The woodwork on the furniture is beautiful. The stage is great and there seems to always be a band of some sort playing. The service is always on point. The place is always clean. Now the beer!!! My fav is always whatever galloping gose that's on tap! The selection of beer is massive. You will almost always find what you are looking for even if you didn't know what you were looking for when you got there. This is the go to spot if you are living gose and sours. They do not disappoint.

What a great place for sour beer!! I saw another tip said they didn't have a lot of sours but when we were there 6/12 on the menu were sour. Had a tasting flight with 4 six oz pours for $8 and tried four different sours. Highly recommended the blueberry passion fruit. The bartender was really nice. They have a large space with a good amount of seating. Yoga on Monday nights- would be fun to return for!

Cute bar off of Market Street. We went there to listen to live music and enjoy some brews. They have a lot of sours but a few other great options as well. We really liked the IPA. They have seating indoors and outside. The outdoor patio has a fire pit and even though your in the city you feel privacy. They have a pool table as well. There's plenty to do and the drinks are good.

Love the specials / events!

A great place to catch a craft beer! The atmosphere and set up behind the establishment is definitely unique and welcoming to all customers and their four-legged children. That's right, you can bring your pup's with you to grab a cold one. Unfortunately they do not serve food but if you are looking for a versatile option of beer this is your place in the Wilmington area, hands down. I loved trying all of the different sour beers and recommend the Black Current Galloping Göse. A great place to start your night if you're heading out on a Friday or Saturday and to try out new beers from around the nation.

A great local spot! I love the outside space -even in the winter-there are fire pits and Edison lights. They are dog friendly -with leashes! Dogs are allowed both indoors and outdoors. They have a smaller draft list than most places in town but they are all curated to be unique and appeal to various tastes. Additionally they have a cooler of wine, cider, and craft selections. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this spot for a laid back evening.

I attended a Yelp Wilmington event hosted at The Sour Barn last night and it was amazing! It was Bachelorette themed to celebrate the premier and couldn't have been better! The beers they have to offer are great and unique and my friends loved their wine slushees!! The back area is perfect for groups and pictures, too!! Word is that they are going to be showing the Bachelorette every Monday!! I would highly recommend everyone check them out!

They had live music in a cool beer garden in the back. There is really cool barrels inside. Great and plentiful beer selection!

All 3 have many things in common... This brewery consistently produces some amazing beer. IPAs and hazy IPAs are top notch here. They are very rare and hard to find back home (Greensboro), so I had to stock up. The space is exceptional. Huge beer hall with a large bar top area, tables, couches and comfy chairs. Add in some tv's throughout with sports on, and some foosball and shuffle board, and you have a super fun spot to hang out. The outdoor patio is super comfy as well, and surrounded by beautiful large trees. This is a place I need to stop in every time we're in the Wilmington area. For the great beer, the great space, and to take home half the store lol.

Two staff members, juggling orders with grace, kept the taps moving and the vibe relaxed. We had the Oatmeal Porter (dark, smooth, layered with chocolate, roasted malt, and caramel) And the Brook's Mulberry Lemonade (a blend of house-made lemonade and beer, fermented with mulberries hand-picked from Brook's garden). Both were super delicious. Flytrap Brewing sits tucked in a quiet Wilmington neighborhood, and it feels like it belongs there. It's a bit off the beaten path, but not a long walk from the River Walk or Main Street at all. I did miss the bigger fly traps in the back, and the ones inside were smaller (and a different kind) than I was expecting. Still, this place has a really cool, chill, and fun vibe. Highly, highly recommend.
