Everything was delicious! They did let us know in advance that the Dutch babies would take about 30 minutes, but it is worth the wait! It came out piping hot, oozing with blueberries and lemon ricotta! My only regret was not being able to try other things since we were headed to Pike Place right after, but I definitely do want to try their other Dutch babies / dinner items in the future!

A couple times we needed something I had to make eye contact to get attention. Inside was quite nice. Simple. We had a booth by the window and it was just right. Tempting pastry case with savory and sweet choices, the usual bevs, as well as, cocktails. Vibrant place to visit solo or meetups with others. The 16oz iced mokka (mocha) I had was well crafted. Both counter folks were personable and welcoming. I was able to sit at a two top and remain cool during my brief visit on that hot Tuesday early afternoon. They've been an indie (Cafe Hagen/Freya) that has expanded to many locations: here in SLU, two on Queen Anne, downtown on 5th, at Dexter, the Waterfront, Freya in Pike Place Market and Nordic Museum in Ballard, plus sites over in Bellevue and Kirkland. I also left a cash tip, so I was especially disappointed with the portion I received. The burrito was good and generously filled, but unfortunately, the scramble was a major letdown. At this point, I'm not sure if I'll be returning. For the price, I expected a much more substantial meal.

This cozy and compact cafe lets in just enough sunlight from its windows to feel cool regardless of the fact that the sun was shining directly at its front entrance. On the right-hand side of the cafe are drinks and some bags of Boon Boona coffee which I hear is the coffee they use here. I came during the afternoon, so most of their seasonal drinks - most of which have matcha - were sold out as the kitchen was out of fruits needed to make them. Instead, the barista at the front made me a 12-oz lightly sweetened custom lavender matcha latte with whole milk, followed by a custom strawberry matcha latte for a patron before me. Matcha isn't ceremonial by any means, but was still very refreshing and the weak grassy tones still came through despite the drink being a tad too sweet. The lone staff member was welcoming and warm, and always made sure to ask the right questions and offer suggestions and alternatives depending on what I was in the mood to have. I'll try their coffee here next time I'm in West Seattle!
