THIS PLACE! I love this place. I don't get to visit as often as I'd like, which is probably good for my chub and my wallet. It's also DANGEROUSLY close to where I work. While my co-workers RAVE about the coffee (I'm a tea kind of gal), I'm a fan of the steak wrap and the miso rice krispy things! Best. Brunch. Ever. We started with the mimosa bar that had orange, berry and mango fruit juices with fresh berries for garnish. You have to try what I believe is the best Eggs Benedict in Western Washington: two eggs on top of crispy crab cakes drizzled with a delicious lemony hollandaise, served with a fabulous Brussels sprouts and bacon slaw, and lovely potatoes. Found this place a few months ago and really enjoyed the food and service but after two bad experiences, taking it off my list of places. Ordered a sandwich for pickup from their menu. After getting back to the office discovered the sandwich was clearly old and had been sitting for awhile (soggy, discolored veg., etc.). Shared the info with them but no response. Please note that the fried chicken is really misleading. It's described as Cajun-style fried chicken on the menu, and what was brought to us were four deep-fried chicken meatballs. They also included a fried pork skin on top, which wasn't listed on the menu. The portion was fairly small, but the quality of both the meat and the dish was not worth the $15. It would behoove the restaurant to make things more clear on their menu so that people know what they are ordering. read more

My friend and I went out for an early 7 am breakfast. When we came it was really dark and sketchy, and we couldn't find parking because we didn't know the area. However, the interior is really nice, the service was really good, and the food was amazing. I can honestly say the best breakfast I had ever had. The place feels like a home and its not pricey!! Best brunch in recent memory. I had the Pork Verde and my friend had short rib hash. We both tried a mile high, tender and flakey biscuit with a housemade jam. Every bite of everything was amazing. The cornbread was off the charts good the short ribs were the stuff Dreams are made of with layers of warm spices and umami bomb flavors. Stumbled upon Brother Joe on a Sunday and popped in to give it a try. We shared the veggie hash dish and the fried chicken with hush puppies, and ordered drip coffee. The servers are great. Atmosphere cozy. Where this place falls down is on being efficient with getting food out. We put our names on the list at 11:05am with a 20 minute wait estimate. Sat down about 11:40am. Ordered within 5-7 minutes. Food didn't come till 12:30pm. Nearly a 45 minute wait for food. This has to improve. And the place didn't hold that many people. The veggie hash was pretty tasty and hush puppies decent. But that is not fried chicken. It was chicken meatballs with a soft breading. At $15 - not worth it. If you have a random 2 hours, check this place out, just be prepared to wait to eat. read more

Delicious. I've been to duos a few times and was excited to hear about this new venture for this culinary team. I don't drink coffee so I sadly didn't partake in what I thought were really pretty drinks. However I did really enjoy the Bloody Mary bar. Very impressive. We will be back for sure. read more

We had a great experience at Brother Joe for Mother's Day brunch. The food and coffee were delicious- especially the crab cakes and French toast. Service and the decor were great. My disappointment of a sandwich was another story. Despite having bacon, avocado, turkey, and tomato, they all seemed flavorless. The aioli dressing was a bit excessive and just ok. The focaccia bread it was on was too thick, also would have probably been better warm. Had to make it open faced and still didn't want to finish it. Georgetown, South Park and White Center all now have excellent sandwich places around this price point, so I hope they step it up if they want repeat customers. Perfection in every single way. First of all, when you walk in, the aesthetic invites & draws you in. Tall ceilings, exposed brick, beautifully curated interior design. But my latte: OMG, seriously the best I've ever had. Rich, deep flavor. Also my request for water was served in a cute little mason jar w/filtered water. This is a standout small business ran by a wonderful owner who has a great collection of staff. I can't give this place enough credit for how far it exceeds in excellence in quality of food, drinks and service. "Momo" the owner, is usually the first face you see and she is genuinely interested in welcoming you and giving you the best cup of coffee you have ever had. If you're interested in the pastries don't hold back. Usually a good amount of limited quantity fresh treats. The menu is great with enough of everything to fit anyone's taste. The kitchen delivers!
