Coffee is amazing, the staff is very sweet but they seem to be consistently understaffed. That doesn't lead to bad service, slow orders or poorly made food and drinks in anyway, they're putting in work back there, but the staff seems stressed. Highly recommend getting a Black Rhino Latte and enjoying the cute decor and comfy seats inside. read more

Brother Joe is such a charming gem in the Georgetown neighborhood! The space is bright and cozy with whimsical artwork that gives it a playful, welcoming vibe. I had the ham and cheese raclette and it was sooo good, perfectly melty with the bacon onion jam adding just the right touch of sweetness and depth. Easily one of the best brunch bites I've had in a while. They also have an amazing pastry selection. I tried the berry crumble bar and I'm still thinking about it. Service was fast and friendly, which made the experience even better. It does get busy on weekends, so definitely try to go early if you want to grab a good seat. I will say I wasn't a fan of the matcha, it tasted chalky and the powder didn't seem to be the best quality. Stopped by for a late breakfast with the family. Really enjoyed the food and the decore. Had the croissant sandwich which was delicious and full of flavor. Hidden gem in Georgetown. I was in the area taking care of some things and wanted to get coffee and food. This location showed up in my Yelp search and I was immediately interested in checking them out. You walk in and immediately it's a great ambiance. The interior design is gorgeous. The staff at the register was very friendly and helpful. I was with my daughter, we ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap and Ham & egg raclette but I substituted the ham for turkey and it was absolutely delicious. My daughter said the same for her wrap. I also order the white chocolate mocha w/ almond milk and it was so good. Glad I tried them out. This will also be my go to spot when I have friends and family visit. Was next door and swung by for a quick coffee, being especially intrigued by the mention of a honey miso espresso. That's exactly what I got, and holy moly is it good! It's this perfect blend of savory, sweet and creamy all in one, with the boost of a double espresso shot to power you through the day. I was driving thru Georgetown and noticed a shop with plants surrounding all the windows, which made me very easily lured in. Brother Joe is simultaneously the most exciting and relaxing shop I've visited: the lighting was warm and low, most decorations were rhino themed, full of plants, and most importantly some great couches. I ordered a ham and egg raclette which was a nice balance of savory and sweet, and a miso honey latte which was the most umami coffee I've had and I loved it. They sell Herkimer coffee which ranges from $15 - $17 for 12 ounces and lots of other fun drinks and coffee gadgets. The ambiance was comfortable, service was great, and food and coffee was amazing. Georgetown Gem! Small but feels large with Indoor outdoor seating options. Order at counter and peruse the amazing selection of syrups, cocktail kits, teas, coffee and gifts while you wait. Cute little coffee shop! Coffee, breakfast dishes and some pastries are easy to be had at Brother Joe. The selections of food and drink are pretty fun and unique and the flavors were great. I had a horchata themed coffee drink and a BLTA sandwich and was super pleased with both. They have a few inside and outside tables, plus there are a ton of kitchen, cocktail items and even bottles of booze for purchase. Cute casual spot and you order up front then find a seat. There's a small seating area around the corner that's tucked away from their shop area. The person who helped us was very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. I got the BLAT with egg and it was beyond delicious! Also got the tiramisu latte which was recommended to us and she said that if we didn't like it, she'd make us something else. Great food and great service. There are only about three tables to sit at. We went on a weekday though and there was only one other person seated. There is free street parking right outside. Food: The breakfast burrito was stupendous. Loved the verde sauce and the meat that melts in your mouth. The home-style potato's inside were also a nice touch and we added avocado to really tie the whole thing together. The croissant sandwich was nice and crisp with fresh ingredients. It gets a bit oily as many grilled croissants do. Since my hubby and I split and exchanged the burrito and croissant, the oily aspect wasn't overwhelming. Drink: I loved my snickers latte. In a city where you'll hear "how hot is the medium?" repeatedly, Brother Joe's brings some actual flavor to their dishes. It's counter service and that lends towards the meals being a bargain for what you get; Incredible food with a vibe that will scare off the more uppity Seattleites (thankfully). Their pork chile verde (burrito or bowl) is the best of the sort in Seattle with some real, and rare around here, NM flavor in there. It is phenomenal and my top comfort breakfast in Seattle. There are a lot of unique coffee combinations; The miso honey latte is a must try, the egg coffee is wondrous, and the holy mole mocha is killer. No complaints just nothing special. The fluffy cakes looked better than they tasted. We both got lattes too, and agreed that we enjoyed our coffees more than the food! I actually enjoyed my "white velour" (white chocolate with salted caramel latte) more than I expected bc after I ordered I was worried it'd be too sweet but it actually wasn't! I came on a Tuesday around 1030am. There was two other occupied tables. So I got seated right away. I ordered: Chai Tea Fluffy cakes Salmon Lox in bread with an egg Chai tea - excellent. It's more a chai tea latte Fluffy cakes - AMAZING. It was like a fluffy pancake. The whipped cream they put on top was not typical white whipped cream. I don't know what they put in it, but it was so dang good. And can't go wrong with fresh berries and real maple syrup. Salmon lox was fresh and tasty, good with topped over easy egg. If it wasn't for the slow food service (I was done with my tea by the time the food arrived), I would have given it 5 stars. But despite the wait, I would come back. The food is that good. read more

I really like Brother Joe and their food, so I hate to write this review. But, I have mentioned this issue to them in person before and nothing has changed, so I think I need to post on social media. I am finding there are cross contamination issues lately. I am a vegetarian, as are others I work with, and some of us find bacon in our "vegetarian" salads. We stop by Brother Joe's to drink coffee. We asked the server for her suggestion. And she suggested "Oh Miso Honey". At first it sounded discussing....but then I thought why not. I wanted to try something different. And when it arrived, it was beautiful looking drink and tasted amazingly delicious. I was presently surprised. The other drink we ordered was "Holy Mole Mocha" which had just as beautiful of a presentation as that Oh Miso Honey and had a great flavor but honestly I preferred the Oh Miso Honey because of its unique flavor. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed our brunch! We couldn't wait for the full menu, but what we got was still delicious. We got the The Basic, avocado toast with egg, and avocado toast with tofu. All dishes were solid in quantity and quality. The flavors, even of such simple things like the potatoes, were on point. Potatoes basically tasted like breakfast french fries, even with the texture. The avocado toasts were delicious, even with tofu. The bread was so soft, very unexpected cause I thought it was like a sourdough. The biscuit and jam with the basic plate was really good too, especially the jam. Homemade and not too sweet. My sister really liked their coffee too and I trust her taste in coffee.
