Well, the good thing is this was my first visit. I have no basis for comparison in terms of whether or not Brothers has gone downhill. I ordered a Junior Beef with Mayo, Cheese, and BBQ sauce (allegedly the most common). The sandwich came out about 8 minutes after ordering, and hit the spot for me. Especially for the small size, there was an ample amount of tasty and tender beef. Meanwhile, the mayo, cheese, and BBQ sauce were all well balanced. Bonus points for the BBQ sauce being the savory variety as opposed to sweet. Final bonus point goes for a griddled roll - helped everything stay together and was a nice addition to the texture. Is this the greatest roast beef sandwich ever? No. However, for a local deli it's perfectly fine. Further, while not the cheapest thing ever, ~$10 is not unreasonable, especially considering how much everything costs nowadays. While not hall-of-fame, the fact that I want to return sooner rather than later solidifies the 4-stars for a solid experience. Final food for thought: did I just unlock my roast beef craving phase? Had ordered extra dressing for my salad. Asked the girl at the front register if everything was in the bag. She said yes. I asked again. Another yes. I get home open the bag no dressing at all. Called back to have them deliver it. She told me yes took my address, Called back 20 minutes later no dressing still, continued to argue with me about there was dressing in the bag. She hung up on me. I kept calling back. I ask for a refund because now the steak tip salad is an hour old and I'm no longer eating it. She yelled at me no refund we will deliver the dressing. Brother's roast beef, just as the name states, have some of the best roast beef sandwiches around. They have manynlocations but the one i visited was in Quincy. I had the Super beef which was served on a fresh onion bulkie roll with Lettuce, tomato, american cheese and their house made special BBQ sauce. Sandwich was stacked and was stuffed with roast beef. Itnwas tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. I also tried their buffalo chicken calzone, tonsay it was a work of art is an understatement. It looked more like a stuffed pizza, juicy chicken and it was stuffed with chicken. If you're looking for a protein-packed meal with no frills, Brothers Roast Beef in Quincy is a good option. We ordered takeout using the restaurant's online system, which was extremely user-friendly. It was easy to pick out what we wanted and customize our choices using the online forms. I was a bit nervous that all those customizations would get lost in translation, but I was pleasantly surprised--our rather large and complex order was 100 percent correct, and it arrive about 15 minutes faster than expected. Good points so far. The food was good, but definitely nothing to write home about. We ordered a bunch of different appetizers--wings, steak and cheese egg rolls, and mozzarella sticks--and the mozzarella sticks were by far the favorite. The cheese wasn't overcooked and they weren't too salty. The wings were decent, but I wish I'd known that the sauce would come on the side, rather than on the wings. We only got one container of the honey BBQ sauce, too, so that was a bit annoying. The steak and cheese eggrolls were surprisingly tasty. They weren't greasy to the touch, and the filling was very flavorful with the right balance of steak and cheese. For my entrée, I opted for a roast beef sub. There must have been half a cow worth of beef on this sandwich! The bread was lightly toasted, but it wasn't still warm when it arrived. I really, really wanted to love it, but I couldn't. I had some barbecue sauce that I ordered on the side, and that helped the sandwich out a bit, but I was let down by the lack of flavor. This place use to be so good but they went down hill last couple of times we ordered, taste wise was not good. Months later, I tried again got steak n cheese little salt. Person on phone I think her name is Grace, I had to spell out salt to her. When I got it, it has a lot of salt which made me choke. I am not sure if this was done on purpose or not. Rumor had it that Brother's Roast Beef was a good place for a roast beef sandwich. What I hadn't known was that it was located all the way on the other side of Quincy, past City Hall! Brother's resembles your traditional pizza take out shop, with a counter you order at and a few tables that you might elect to dine in at. I ended up getting the Super Beef $7.35 because it came with on an onion roll. It was a rather large sandwich. I ended up eating just over half. I couldn't resist an order of their onion rings as well and having talked my DCs into sharing it, we opted for the large at $5.75 over the $4.45 medium. But now we know better. The large was HUGE. The rings themselves were light and crisp, with real onion flavor pleasantly apparent. It was good, but we probably would still have had left over if we had gotten the medium instead. read more

Food is good. Hard to communicate with staff. When food is delivered, they expect you to come out and get it versus bringing it to you. The chicken tenders were gross and generic store bought type of chicken. How hard is it to cut up fresh pieces of chicken and fry it? What happened to the hand battered onion rings they used to serve?? Here in New England we don't go for the imitation, frozen pre-battered onion rings. Yes, this is Boston but you get the point lol. The restaurant was packed yesterday after the annual Thanksgiving Parade in good old Quincy. The other day I ventured out on my lunch break in search of a RB3W. Now any RB aficionado knows that the North Shore is predominately known for their Roast Beef. But low and behold I found a place right in Quincy that was serving RB. The Establishment: When I walked in the vibe was just like any of the RB joints you see up North. Clean floors and tables and massive flat-screens behind the counter showing the menu. I went with the Super Beef (3-way) Let me start my review breaking the sandwich down by layer. The Bread- A traditional Superbeef comes with a toasted onion roll. The roll itself was soft and Tasty. The only downside I found was the lack of toasting, this resulted in the sauces to break down the roll. Halfway thru eating the RB the roll started to fall apart. Overall the flavor was there. The BBQ Sauce- The BBQ sauce was spot on, thin and zesty with just the right amount. The flavor was there The Meat- The temperature of the meat was hovering around room temperature, not something that im a fan of. The consistency of the meat was off. Typically you want all the meat to be a light pink color, which indicates that it was cooked low and slow resulting in every slice to be a moist pink shade. Brothers roast beef was a mix of gray and pink meat, which is the result of the exterior portion of the meat being over cooked giving it a grey color and dry texture while the center of the meat remained moist and pink. The meat was evenly spread from edge to edge of the roll which was nice. Overall the flavor was there. The Cheese- The sandwich came with one slice of white american cheese. With a sandwich of this size I would have liked to see 2 slices. Overall the flavor was there. The Mayo- The mayo was smeared edge to edge. Nothing more to be said about the mayo.
