It almost been a week and I am still tender, lots of hair was missed and my skin is just agitated in general. I've never had issues being sensitive to waxing before, and the girl who did it sold me a cream that she applied to me afterwards and said "this is good for people with sensitive skin." I paid $80 and could've gotten a full body anywhere else. I expected to be smooth like a furless cat, and I can't even exfoliate because my skin is so tender. I love this place but I will probably never try a Brazilian with them again. Please be aware of who is servicing you and what they're using!

There was no wait, which was nice, but everything went downhill once the service started. When the esthetician walked in, I immediately told her I had one request that she not snatch large areas because I'm very sensitive down there. She completely ignored that. The first red flag was when she put on her gloves and then threw her hair into a ponytail. That was unsanitary behavior! It instantly turned me off. I don't know why I didn't say anything, but I just wanted to get it over with. Then the sugar wax was super hot. I told her again that I needed her to do smaller sections not tiny, but smaller to make it less painful. She seemed irritated by that. When I asked if she could blow the wax a lil before applying it, she ignored that request too and just said, "It's okay, it only feels hot because it's on the skin." It felt dismissive, like she wasn't taking my discomfort seriously. Throughout the service, she handled me roughly and pressed too hard while checking areas with the wax strip. It felt careless and painful, like she had no regard for my sensitivity or comfort. To make it worse, she didn't even let me clean myself afterward she wiped me down afterwards, which was uncomfortable and inappropriate. Normally, they give you a wipe and allow you to handle that yourself. Overall, she made the entire experience much more painful and unpleasant by ignoring my requests and rushing through the service. There's a big difference between working quickly and being aggressive and rude. I won't be returning here. I really hope she works on her attitude and learns to respect customers' requests especially when it comes to something as personal as a Brazilian wax. I don't remember her name, but she had short black hair. Good luck to anyone who goes...I just hope you get treated better than I did.

Not to mention, it's practically impossible to even book an appointment with them because of their low staffing numbers. It seems as if the estheticians are never working! And that's when you're looking weeks and months out on their calendar. Long story short, never again will I patronize or recommend Pure Wax. For eyebrow threading, this is the place to go. Only $6 and she does a great job. However, for a Brazilian wax, I'm hesitant to go back. There is a special deal going on for $20 (which is much cheaper than other places that can charge as much as $45) but I guess with a lower price comes a sacrifice of quality. After my Brazilian, I still had warm wax on my inner thighs that she had not wiped off and I had a few strands of hair left over. I went home and plucked the hairs that she missed but other salons and spas I've gotten Brazilians at always cleaned up any missed areas with tweezers at the end so I was a bit surprised when she opted to skip this step. Also, I noticed that she was using the same strip during my entire session. Granted, I've only been to about 3 other wax places before so I'm not sure if this is standard procedure but every place I've gone prior to always used multiple strips to keep it hygienic. And afterwards, she just slathered on baby oil. I was hoping for an astringent to clean the area or maybe aloe gel as a soothing agent. But overall, it was a quick process, Ash is very nice, and it's affordable-- but just not the greatest quality. read more

So obviously I thought this would be a good experience. NOT! The first threader I told her I wanted to keep my eybrows natural, clean up and a little shape. Well, it did feel right and her pull was not what I'm.accustomed. I asked to see what it look like. My skin looked like ant bites. Skin just broken and red from the threading. This is not going to work. I should have left right then. The owner had another threader, an older lady to.take over. She tried to appease by putting something on the right eyebrow. She starts on the left eyebrow. Her touch and.pull was definitely lighter. So again, I said just a clean up and keep natural brow. She asked if she could aloe Vera gel on.. I.agreed. I should have not. Recommendation. Use fresh aloe or rose water. That gel is not nautral and has hint of alcohol in it. So here's the kicker......after I leave and I'm n in sunlight is when I can clearly see my left brow was butchered and does not even look like the right brow! So now I have to walk around 3 weeks looking like a fool! I regret I paid cash and even tipped at this point. I wouldn't recommend unless the owner is willing to do the service herself or if you just don't mind taking a chance losing a few $6+ $2 tip & your natural brow shape!

She listens to me and does exactly how I describe or if I decide to bring in a picture she gives me exactly what I want. She is able to handle all types of hair without skipping a beat. I have seen very few people who are as confident and comfortable as she is with a pair of scissors while handling so many different types of hair. I'm not a fan of salons especially here in Atlanta, so having someone cut my hair and give me what I want without spending hours in a salon and paying tons of money is priceless in my book. Not to mention that the cut is only $15! I can get an appointment for the same day or even walk right in and I'm out in no time at all.
