The owner of this place (Dani) was very - RUDE, - AGGRESSIVE, - LOUD, and - outright OBNOXIOUS. She was literally yelling at me in the presence of my 1 year old baby. I had never experienced this type of an attitude anywhere in beautiful Glendale, CA. No wonder her business/small cabin is hidden somewhere behind a 7-Eleven parking lot. I had scheduled an appointment for my mom at 11 am this morning, which was noted to finish by 11:25 am. My appointment was to start at 11:35 am. However, Dani (owner) gave my mom more services than just the threading she was scheduled for, and so she actually finished 20 minutes later than she was supposed to finish. My mom told Dani that once she gets home, that is when I can then go in for my appointment because I have a baby to watch. My mom even paid cash for the full services for both of us. Dani said that was okay. As soon as my mom got home (we literally live 2 blocks away), I went in for my appointment. Because Dani had also scheduled someone else for 12, she said she had to cancel my appointment. I asked her why she did not finish my mom's appointment on time, and just do the services that she could within the 11 - 11:25 scheduled time. She actually blamed ME for being late anyway, when she was the one who caused the delay! Had Dani finished with my mom's appointment at 11:25 like she was supposed to, I would have arrived on time for my appointment at 11:35. Dani cancelled my appointment, said she would refund my $25 deposit, and then once I got home, she refused to follow through and refund my $25. Please read the text conversation I am including screen shots of. Ask yourself if this obnoxious, unprofessional, childish behavior is something you need in your life. Already reported Dani to the Better Business Bureau. UPDATE: The eyebrow "stain" she promised my mom would last 2 weeks did not even last 1 day. Rip off in every way. Booked this place because of their IG page but it was such a disappointment. When I arrived didn't feel welcomed. One of the girls just opened the door and told me to wash my hands and continued to work on the client. Waited over 20 minutes for her to finish with not a word on how much more I would wait. And when she finally finished I didn't notice no sanitation after clients and no gloves were used during the service. No apologies were offered for the wait in fact she started calling her friend while I was waiting for her to ask what my goals were on what I was trying to achieve but rather just got started. I was so disappointed with my experience at this place I had seen great reviews and even friends of mine recommended brow essence so much I was excited to get my brows looking nice since they're work on insta seems great. I had an appointment with ivy and let me tell you the girl lacks customer service skills. Not friendly not welcoming I got there and she berly said a word to me didn't even ask what I wanted as far as my brows didn't explain anything about her procedures I literally sat there in silent all she did was complain about her headache and when she finished she didn't even bother to ask how I liked my brows she literally sat me up left me in the chair wondering was that all?. So I found this place on Instagram and was a little surprised to not find the business listed on Yelp, so I thought I should help out the people who are considering taking the plunge. The place is located in a very busy plaza with limited parking but she texted n told me to park across the street in the bigger plaza. Let me start off by saying she's a very nice person but she charges $25 for just eyebrow threading whereas others with amazing Yelp reviews charge $10-$12 (Roopa's Brow Lounge 557 Reviews/ Vinita's eyebrow studio 390 reviews). I was very impressed with her instagram page and decided to splurge on myself by getting my eyebrows threaded n stained for $75. Yes u heard me right, $75. The thing is, at the end of the day she just fills them in and by the third day the stain/tint is completely gone. Would I do this again? Absolutely not!! $75 is just too much! The whole experience should be $20 to $30 max if you're getting your eyebrows stained. My advice to everyone, please always look for Yelp reviews because businesses can delete comments on FB and Instagram. If the business doesn't exist on Yelp, there's something wrong. read more
