I have scheduled a total of 4 appointments with Laura. She was late for 3 of them and one she cancelled on me. I really wanted to like the place but unfortunately there is no professionalism. There is no respect of other people's time. I had to drive 30 minutes to my appointments only to be rescheduled pretty much each time because the doors were locked and she was nowhere to be found. The brows I was able to get done turned gray right away not even 2 months after I'm stuck trying to cover them up with makeup. Of course this defeats the purpose of why I got them to start off with. If you want to be rescheduled and cancelled constantly she is the person for you. I will choose to spend my money where my time is respected and people are nice. Laura is a magician! My first appointment with her was exactly a year ago, and I got my combo brows. Her studio is nice and clean, with good music always playing over the speakers. If you love pink, you're in for a treat because everything from the medical supplies to the furniture is pink! She made me feel super comfortable and not nervous at all during my session. The healing process was cake and she explained how to take care of them and to trust the process. The end result of my eyebrows made me feel so beautiful and confident in myself and cut my time needed for my morning routine in half. I received so many compliments over the next 12 months and the maintenance was simple, I just needed to thread or go over them with a cosmetic razor every 2-3 weeks. A whole year later, I went in to get my yearly touch up. I honestly didn't feel like I really need it because although they faded just a little bit, they still looked great. When I got to my appointment, it was truly like she was an old friend! I was so surprised that she remembered the little details about my last visit and we were able to pick up right where we left off. I left with my confidence renewed and my trust solidified in a cosmetic aesthetician who is professional, clean, honest, and truly talented. I am leaving this review because I am upset about my experience with Laura at Brow House Beauty. I originally had my brows micro bladed with her back in August. They came out ok, I've seen better work. After 3 months I felt I needed a touch up so I booked an appointment with her again for today, November 19th @ 10:30am. I'm in the Helotes area so I needed to leave at about 9:45-10:00. When I arrived at about 10:25, I then checked my email to see if I needed to go in or text before going in, in case any of that changed. I found that my appointment had been cancelled. She informs me of this only 30 minutes prior to my appointment, so I drove all the way to the salon and didn't know till I got there. I have never had previous work done Laura was legit the first person I went to , been going since before covid So I had asked her fix the eyebrow on the right because last time she did it I noticed a difference between the eyebrows and she was like oh yeah ok I don't know if she took offense to me asking for her to fix it when she's on such a tight time schedule because she has two people waiting at the same time for her and has apts back to back But tbh I went to the car and cried I messaged her about it and told me I had to pay for a touch up when I came back again , the day right after I got them done with her and told her to fix it this work was done a couple months back I haven't gotten them done since because I'm in search of someone better and I want to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen again In my opinion eyebrows are pretty Important You can't just microblade someone's eyebrows by hand because you have "yrs of experience" the face and the eyebrows should be symmetrical You should be open to criticism - this is permanent & not take it personal You should also have time in between your customers to have time for correction and feedback I really don't know if she messed them up intentionally because I asked you to fix it and had the "I know my work is good " attitude I decided to do a review months later because it really hurt my self esteem and decided it should be said If you go to her I'd advice you to draw out the eyebrows after numbing how you like them so she can just color it in tbh No hard feelings I just hope you do better read more

I was 15 min early to my appt. When I got there I text her and waited almost an hour. Walk inside and there was no one in the front . Read a piece of paper saying to put numbing cream on. And I did and when she finally text me she was ready. Finally a lady came out to the front and told me to go in the room. Laura came in smelling like food . Was scared to get my eyebrows done - but they had a special and a friend recommended me so I thought why not! I went, during the service was fine! At the end she asked if everything was okay and I mentioned to her a bald spot. She told me it would get darker & I would see it in a few days. So I texted her regarding my concerns - no response so I followed up - just got a picture text of a graph. The graph was showing it's normal to have splotches, but this was a spot that was never done. So I told her I wasn't happy and felt insecure. She took offense & started being extremely rude. I just wanted to feel confident. & I understand sometimes things can take multiple times however this was never discussed during the service. Just that they would get darker. Prices have increased while customer service has drastically decreased. I have been going to Laura for micro blading since she was in Alamo Ranch. Getting my brows micro bladed is still the best beauty decision I have made and I would do it again in a heartbeat, however, I am a frustrated customer now. I waited an hour past my scheduled appointment time to be seen- I already had to reschedule my appointment due to Laura's request- which I happily changed. My retouch was fast, rough, and I had to coax instructions for aftercare out of Laura who was half on her phone/half listening to me (it's been a year- I need a reminder). I spent nearly $200 and felt rushed and uncared for after waiting over an hour for my appointment. When I said that it looked like a chunk of my left eyebrow was missing I was told I would need to upgrade to "powder brows" to fix that. I left and now my healed brows don't look symmetrical and I will need to pay for a retouch to fix it. What's the point of having me check in a mirror to see if I'm happy if you're not going to help fix it. I will return because I'm still most comfortable working with Laura but my wish is that some changes will be made. I understand that COVID has made salon experiences different but I don't believe that what I experienced has anything to do with COVID. read more

This review is only for artist looking for a class to take. Let me start by saying I love Laura's work and her social media presents. I took Laura's class back in august 2021. I signed up for the 7 in 1 course and paid 2500$ all to get scammed. This class seemed to be more about the amount of money she makes rather than about educating someone who knows nothing about permanent makeup. The class was suppose to be a 2 day long class with a model included in day 2. You got to the first day of the class and get handed the certificate before even learning a thing. You would think sanitation would be a priority in a tattoo class and we learned nothing about it. You don't learn anything about mapping. The only thing you learn is a little bit of her technique. After the first day of class she sends you home to "practice" until she tells you you can work on a model. I got approved for a model and had them ready to come in with me on a weekend. At the time Laura said she didn't work weekends so I couldn't provide my own model and I had to wait for a time for her to be ready to bring me in. Months pass by and I don't hear from her and there's no plan to get me in for my 2nd day of training so I sent her a message asking for a solution because I spent so much money on her class. We went back and forth trying to organize a time for me to go in and she became very Unaccommodating saying she got sick, then was moving, and was too busy with her personal life. At this point I just wanted a refund for the part of the class I didn't receive. Of course she said no she isn't going to give me a refund and has stopped responding. As a business owner myself I found Laura to be extremely unprofessional. She said things in the class that lead me to believe she does this solely for the money and her classes are an easy way to scam people. Please do yourself a favor and don't take this class!!! In no way shape or form did she prepare me to open up my own permanent Makeup business. I've had to attend other classes and do my own research. Save your money. LONG OVER DUE REVIEW! LAURA IS A BROW GODESS. I have been a customer of Laura for years, since she worked out of her house. Her skills were a hidden talent at that point and I have been blessed to have selected her to do my brows. Laura always has great music, great conversation, really tries to remember you between the 6 months to a year you have to see her. I started off with just the regular stoked microblading for the first two years with frequent touch ups at 6 months due to having VERY OILY skin and constantly working out. (Let her know your skin type and concerns because her work is flawless but the hair stokes can blur for many reasons after you leave her salon: makeup, skincare routine, oils, etc.) Last year or so Laura started providing powdered brows that I upgraded to and absolutely LOVE my brows more and only have go once a year. While I never knew what I wanted, Laura always ran down what she suggested based on my facial structures, makeup style, and lifestyle. She is very considerate, talented, and VERY understanding. Laura will work her magic and is always so sweet with answering everyones questions, DO NOT take her for granted, please! I will never go to anyone else for work and now that I live in OHIO I will fly in just to get my work done by her. read more

First off, I would love to have great things to say but unfortunately I do not. I just did not get a great vibe as soon as I walked in. No one at the front desk and all I see is someone being serviced in the back, no one says anything to me. I sit and wait a couple minutes and finally someone just comes from the back, doesn't say hi or anything, but just hands me paperwork to sign. Literally no hello or anything. Then returns and says she is going to apply numbing cream. So I sit up front for about 20/30 min with numbing cream. Laura finally finishes her previous appointment and it is my turn. Laura was actually nice and does decent work. However, she did not really give aftercare instructions but just handed me a piece of paper which her receptionist just forgot to hand to me with after care instructions. Also did not tell me anything about scheduling a touch up or recommended how long I should book for one. Overall the customer service is why I am giving one star. read more

I was nervous even though this was my second time getting microblading done. The first time I had microblading done was in Los Angeles at a well known salon that had celebrity clients so I figured they knew what they were doing. The person I chose was one of the instructors and it was not inexpensive. The results were ok and honestly my eyebrows faded a little after 10 months. After deciding to get them done again I looked through a lot of pictures and read way too many reviews. I decided on Brow House Beauty and I'm glad I did. Laura is very talented and honest. As I waited for the numbing cream to do its job we talked about prices for microblading. She said she had low prices because she didn't want to discourage anyone from getting their eyebrows done. I'm very happy with how my brows turned out. I think she did a better job than the place I went to before. BEWARE! My appointment was at 11. I arrived 15 minutes early and one of the technicians decided to numb my eyebrows before my technician arrived(Laura). I had the cream on my face for 35 minutes and Laura still had not arrived to the appointment. She was about 30 minutes late so I asked the girl in the front(her sister) if I could wipe the numbing cream off and wait for Laura because I didn't want it on my face for too long. Not one person told me she was running late, nothing. Any reputable business would apologize and let you know if they are running behind not just leave you there wondering what's going on with lidocaine smeared all over your face. I was just sitting there. Laura then proceeded to call her sister and asked if she could speak to me. She began to yell and scream at me for taking the numbing cream off.She actually said very rude and vile things. Very unprofessional. I have never been treated to poorly by any business in my life. As for the actual salon it was completely empty. This is not an established business that is run my an unprofessional amateur. You get what you pay for.
