I was warned that the presentation of this place is a little on the old and sketchy side but give it a chance. I am so glad I did because the sandwiches are to die for! Let me preface by saying that I do not generally like sandwiches, I'm very picky about quality. My husband, on the other hand, loves sandwiches. We discovered this place thanks to recommendations from friends. We both love GREAT deli's and we're happy we found this place. We used a Groupon for our first purchase. Food: I ordered the turkey avocado jumbo sandwich and my husband got the pastrami sandwich. I loved it! They do not skimp on the meat at all and I really enjoy the bread, which is soft but not so soft that it absorbs all of the moisture of the mayo and mustard. In total two jumbo sandwiches, two chips, and two fountain drinks came out to about $22 but we had the Groupon and only had to pay $2. Service: We ordered ahead of time for take out thanks to COVID19 and we were unable to eat in since it's against regulations. It took about 20 min because the place was backed up with orders, but they give you a heads up ahead of time about how long you should wait before picking up. The lady on the phone was very sweet and nice. When we went inside, they were prompt with our order and still, very nice. Ambiance: It's your typical deli joint, no-frills, and thrills, just good food. We are 100% coming back again! Their menu is expansive and there are just so many things I want to try! I enjoy this place for how different it is compared to everything around it in EP. All of my coworkers talked about it constantly until finally we took a lunch break here. I never realized how close it was! Sadly I've only been here twice because of the inconvenient location. Not the place itself but the parking is horrible during lunch hours; especially with 7-11 having heavy foot traffic during this time as well. The idea of hot and cold sandwiches reminds me of back home. The little old style tables is true deli fashion. I enjoy that it doesn't try to become a modernized version of all the places around it. I know it's packed all the time so I tried it. It is not as tidy as I would like somewhere where I get my food to be. The customer service was extremely lacking. This a very unpretentious little deli that focuses mostly on great deli style sandwiches. I've tried various & thought most were good for the price. I have yet to try their Italian sausage, but I probably should since I'm in love with their steak & cheese! That one is a great sandwich and it is probably the best "Philly" I've had in El Paso. They use real steak that is thinly sliced and will pair it up with fresh onions, mushrooms & bell peppers if you like it that way. I believe they lightly season the meat with fajita seasoning & that gives it just an extra amount of taste that singles it out. The mini is only like $3.50 and decently sized at 6 inches. I like the regular that's 8 inches for $5.69. The large is the same size as the regular, but double the meat for about $1 more. Perfect for those famished moments. :) Some people seems to not care about the old style look of the place and consider it unclean because of that. I don't believe the place is dirty, its just not modern with brand new everything. As long as they make good deli sandwiches at good prices, I dont care if the booths and tables are old. :) read more
