Kaye, whose back was to us, was attending to cleaning as my girl and I entered the line. Upon seeing us, she immediately stopped what she was doing, welcomed us in, came right over, and asked how may she help us. Just a sincerely genuine pleasant person whose energy you could feel a mile away. She made ordering food a memorable moment. And if that wasn't enough. Jay, the perfect compliment to professional customer service. These two make you feel like you're right at home, and they're serving you from their personal kitchen. They both asked specific questions as to how you wanted your food. These two made me feel like I was at my favorite cousins house at the cookout. Go just to taste the customer service from these two. Yes you read that right! Go TASTE the customer service. Now let's get to the food! Amazing. Delicious! Seasoned perfectly. Well portioned. We ordered the fish and chips, and the Salmon salad. My girlfriend is a picky eater from Ukraine, and she loved the Salmon Salad. You know food is good when two people aren't talking the entire time. They're just chewing, looking at each other and nodding. My fish and chips were golden, fluffy, and filling. I substituted the fries with grilled shrimp, and these shrimp were gourmet. In my Pulp Fiction gourmet coffee voice! I mean Got Dayum this is some gourmet shrimp! My girl bit into one of my shrimp and looked at me like, I was in trouble later. Coleslaw, tasted like it was hand crafted, from organic ingredients. It literally was a crunchy melt in your mouth coleslaw. I know. I never heard of that either till I had Brown Bag's Coleslaw! Their drinks were even delicious. We had the ginger drink over light ice. We inhaled the food, the drinks, and the service like an expensive drug! Please believe me when I tell you this, I am not exaggerating in the least, about the food or the service. It was a most addictive experience we will be coming back to, for more. I tend to order from the Sears Tower location a lot. During lunch, it's ideal to preorder online because lines can get long. Their online ordering site is easy and you can get your food in 10-15 min. The wait time is faster online rather than waiting in line. I order either the salad bowl or grains. The fish is always fresh. I have ordered sides of shrimp to accompany my salads I've brought from home and it's a great addition. Sauces are out for the taking to go with your meal, and staff is friendly. Well this is my second time coming to brownback and this time I did the choices of the dinner platter between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. also known as the golden time. Service was as usual fast but not very friendly. Ambience is typical from the first time very good. The cod that I ordered for protein in the dinner was delicious. Be careful when you bite on the batter cuz it's still moist since it's battered cod. They're truffle tater tots was also delicious as well which I selected the coleslaw was just okay. They give you a complimentary bread similar to garlic bread and that was actually pretty good or delicious. I stumbled across this place when I went inside Willis Tower looking for Shake Shack. I saw a lot of people eating this so figured I'll try something local instead. I ordered: grilled shrimp, greens & grain, and pineapple lime gingerade. I'm impressed by how many shrimp they gave. It was fresh and juicy too. The spices and grilling were spot on. Flavorful with nice charred bits. The greens and grain was smaller than I had hoped. It definitely left for more to crave. I forgot the greens come with broccoli which I'm not a fan of. Perhaps next time I'd go with grains only. I was intrigued by the concept of gingerade so ordered it. They just give you a cup to dispense yourself. I appreciate how they ask you whether you want ice. I didn't get any. Since I got the cup, I actually tried a sip of the black iced tea and sweet tea as well. I figured since they're all the same price, if I change my mind last minute they wouldn't mind. I like both the sweet and unsweetened tea. The unsweetened version had a nice deep flavor. The sweetened tea was refreshing without being overly sweet. I ended up still choosing the gingerade because it's rare to find gingerade and the ginger flavor was obvious without being too intense. Their sauce options are fun too. They ran out of tartar sauce so didn't get a chance to try that. Out of the ones I got, I like the ranch sauce the most and hot sauce second. And I love a nicely done tot... crispy outside and soft potato center. Yum! Will for sure go back for fish and chips. Ordering method of dry erase on menu cards was a cool idea. Was just wandering around downtown Chicago while waiting between Amtrak trains and came across this BB Seafood in a food court. This is my favorite lunch spot in the loop. The fish is always cooked perfectly. The service is friendly and quick. Lots of healthy options - veggies, seafood. I recommend the greens and grains bowl with teriyaki salmon. But if you are not in the mood for healthy, I recommend the tator tots. I will probably not come here again because of the poor food quality and quantity. Quality- I got the lobster roll with a side of tots. The lobster was over cooked and very rubbery. I also didn't get much flavor from the lobster, it was overpowered by the sauce and the bread was very soggy so it broke apart when I grabbed it. Quantity- I barely got any lobster on my roll, it was about 2 claws worth of meat. Instead they gave me too many cheap tots to make up for it. Price- not worth it for 30 bucks. You can get higher quality and quantity from red lobster Atmosphere- I like the atmosphere being in the sears tower food court. Popped in at this location a few months since it's close by my office. I had ordered the lobster roll at the other locations, so I opted for the salmon with quinoa and mixed green veggies. That has since become a favorite. Usually, once a month I will drop by for lunch and they always hit the mark. Nothing gets served up immediately after ordering, which speaks to cooking to order. I have yet to approach the counter and was met with bad service. And being mostly pescatarian, the salmon with quinoa and mixed green vegetable has become my go-to order. Good lunch place to get fresh fish prepared right after you order. Our family of 6 stopped by Brown Bag Seafood Co at Willis Tower on June 30, 2022. This is a small lunch place and we chose it based on reviews. The food was fresh and tasty. We saw how it was prepared after we placed the order. The portions are medium. The food is served on paper baskets and you order at the counter and then pick it and sit in the lobby. Fast-food style service, not really a restaurant. The ordering process was also interesting as you just circle you choices with a marker on and individual menu. Great idea! However, even with this method some small items like sides and extra sauces were not entered right and had to be re-done after order was complete. Appetizers: Truffle-Parm Tots - good Mains: Fish & Chips - good Salmon with greens on the side - good Sesame tuna - pass. Quite small portion even though I got "large". The sesame sauce was on the side. Daily Catch with greens and grains on the side - good. Overall, good place to grab some freshly made fish for lunch if you are around.
