Visiting Chicago and the pictures looked good... don't fall for it. I just ordered a hot dog... I selected Italian roll (kiosk) for the bread and it came out, after 20 min) on lettuce wrap. I told the guy about it, he printed the ticket and showed me. I said "I don't know what happened, could you just throw it on the Italian roll, please?" Ten min later it comes out on lettuce again so I asked him what he did and he said "you asked for Italian sausage, didn't you?" So now, at this point I switched to Spanish and clarified again. I finally got my shitty hotdog on bread that tastes like it was baked two days ago, after almost 30 min. Two people working which seems adequate for the volume of orders but the service is bad and slow. My friend used to live by here and this was her go to spot for eating with friends when they were visiting. I finally tried and got a corn dog, onion rings, and a hot dog (I was hungry lol). This place was a draw for me at Wells Market so it only makes sense that it survived the closure and opened a stand alone location. They have caught on to the cheat code that adding pastrami levels up anything. I have now partaken in several breakfast burritos here (with pastrami) and they have everything a breakfast burrito should have. Crispy tots, option for over easy egg, avocado, and delicious sauce. It will make you want to take a nap, but you will have no regrets coming out of it. read more

I ordered through DoorDash and late at night and I'm assuming probably also early in the morning they do a concept or a sub brand called bad ass breakfast burritos. So I'm not sure if this is offered all day at dog haus but it seems like the breakfast burritos are a concept by this restaurant maybe at certain times a day. Whatever the case may be the breakfast burritos are BOMBBBBB!!! I ordered one as a late night meal and the tots were super crispy and seasoned. No notes. The burrito was MASSIVE!! I ordered the Wurst burrito and it had like 6 different meat options. I chose the breakfast sausage but there were plenty of other choices to pick from. It was also stuffed with eggs cooked to your preference, hash browns, caramelized onions and cheese. Oh my god this burrito is so good. This is exactly what a late night or hangover meal should taste like. I ordered it and it was here in like 10 mins. It was PIPING hot! I waited about 20 mins and tried to take a bite and it was still way too hot. So be prepared to let it cool down bc they are made to order and FRESH. The burrito is also super dense so it takes awhile to cool bc they are dense. It came with spicy mayo and I was surprised how spicy this was actually. Really solid kick. So if you can't handle space beware bc this is a noticeable spice level. Overall the burrito was flavorful massive and a great deal for the price. One of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. This location just opened a few days ago and already very busy on a Saturday morning. Lady at register was friendly and space is much better location than inside the Wells Market it used to be in. Prices, at least for downtown Chicago loop are fair and portions are above average. It's right at corner of Lake St. and Wells St. adjacent to Dunkin Donuts and Monks Bar. Signage lured me straight in, I was hungry and this satisfied the tastebuds. Fountain drinks are self serve, music is upbeat and it's an open kitchen format which I always prefer for "fast-ish food". read more

I got Dog Haus as "late night eats" after a night of drinking... and it was everything I needed, and more! The delivery was quick (with DoorDash). Dog Haus takes a standard Chicago fare, the hot dog, and steps it up a notch. They have unique takes on the classic but also throw in a lot of other options. If you're a hot dog fan you're going to love this spot. Having stumbled across it while roaming the Loop at lunch I knew I had to stop in. Just a few days later I was staring, confused, at the menu. There are so many delicious-sounding options it is hard to choose! In the end I went with a Chili The Kid (yes, they even have delightfully fun names) and fries. One of the best parts about ordering was the guy working the register, was so friendly! He really appreciated us being there and giving him business. It wasn't long before our food was ready and I dug in. Wow, the dog was meaty and bursting with flavor. Not only was the base-dog tasty, but the chili and the Chipotle Aioli worked so well together. The fries were also on point. As a meal, everything worked well and complimented each other beautifully. There was only one downside... I only ordered one dog! I'm a fan of Dog Haus and it's going to be my new go-to (since U.B. Dogs closed, sadly). Do yourself a big favor and stop in and give them a try! read more

This place was pretty underwhelming. It wasn't all bad, but the bowl of chili was way too runny and was missing beans. Old Town hot dog was too much bread. Wings needed to be cooked a touch longer, and $2/wing is a steep price. The fries were legit, and my daughter enjoyed her kids meal. Food took about 20 minutes to make, which felt a little long for a place like this. This spot seems to be more of a kitchen for delivery orders than a place where people go to enjoy a meal. We started at a nearby restaurant and walked out due to the smell. As soon as we walked into Dog Haus we nodded to one another because it smelled amazing. The gentleman who helped us was personable and helpful. Our food was so delicious that I am back home in Ohio trying to recreate the burger. I will be back on my next trip to Chicago! read more

Food is fresh and freshly made. My tater tots were perfectly crispy. Sooo Cal dog was tasty, but something was strange. Finally figured out they use sweet Hawaiian rolls for all their buns. It was ok. Service was quick and everything was very clean. Good tunes. read more
