This place was solid. it is definitely brown bag - i.e. no plates. my soup came in a little to go chowder container. So be prepared for that. But the options are great and pretty well done. They could have more pictures of each of the bases, but I got the tuna over the veg base and it was really good - veg just a little too salty, but otherwise tasty. Fun spot. I chose the mixed veggies, which were still warm and had a nice mixture of quartered brussel sprouts, broccoli, and greens. The spicy cauliflower was cold and lacking in flavor. The Texas toast is small, like a quarter of a slice small. Casual, bus-your-own-table, type of restaurant. There are no hot drinks here either, although you can purchase a variety of beers and red or white wines. I'd probably skip this establishment on colder, wintery days. This place was a great find. A somewhat hidden gem. The food was prepared well, flavorful and neat. We tried the lemonade and it was delicious as well. The service was god, a bit confusing as they had just opened and the staff was adjusting, but once settled they did a great job of introducing us to the location. The chairs needed a little attention - a few crumbs left on multiple chairs, but nothing to bad to turn you away, but definitely noticeable. Ok,, so when I was downtown doing work stuff. I thought during the day that it was too nice of a day to waste it away at the hotel and eat at the restaurant there. So I rallied up the colleage to go for a walk here instead. So here we go... I ordered the catch of the day which was St. Peter's Fish and opted for the plate option. My sides were truffle tots and that coleslaw. My fish was done really nicely. Best part was I used that bread that came with the plate dish and made me a little fish sandwich which was phenomenal. The truffle tots were pretty good too. Washed my meal down with that Green Lime Pale Ale which was on tap that day. The place was super cute. Plenty of spots to post up and devour you meal. The inside is so cozy, the colleague and I stayed a bit the chit chat about the good life. I would definitely eat here again if given the chance. Thank you so much for reading my review. We got the following: Mojo shrimp tacos: flour tortillas, slaw, herb sauce, pickled red onions, jalapeno, and cilantro Grilled salmon kale caesar salad: with shaved parmesan, cherry tomatoes and croutons, served with garlic bread Both dishes were freshly made and were promptly devoured. I had the tacos and thought the garnishes overpowered the shrimp, but it was enjoyed nonetheless. The ordering process was interesting as you fill out a dry-erase menu then hand it to the cashier. Plenty of seating inside or on the patio! Portion wise, I think it would be a good lunch/snack spot as opposed to a full dinner pick (which we were there for). The lobster rolls are very good but the service is really bad. We were a group of 7, we ordered 6 lobster rolls and a dinner plate. The dinner plate arrived about 10 minutes after we put in the order. About 35 minutes later 2 lobster rolls were brought to the table. About 30 minutes after that 2 more lobster rolls were delivered. The last lobster roll came out 10 minutes later. I think I will try a different location next time. read more

This was a great fast-casual restaurant--- bright, airy, and beachy atmosphere with fun colors. My crispy cod sandwich tasted so fresh and was so delicious! My friends only had good things to say about their meals too. The fries were on par too, and it was just overall a great healthy-ish meal near Millenium Park. I really liked this spot. It's almost all fried dishes, but it's done well, i.e. there's not a ton of breading to drown out / override the fish. I liked that they have happy hour on drinks on the weekends; the margarita I had was STRONG, but really delicious, haha. I ordered the fish and chips - it came with a plethora of fries, but the meal overall was really good. There wasn't too much breading on the fish, and the slaw amount was just enough to offset the other fried items. My husband didn't like the lobster roll too much, especially since the lobster mix didn't really go inside the roll; more or less just sat atop of it. As for the service and ambiance, our server was an absolute delight (we ordered with her at the counter and she served us our meals), and the ambiance gives relaxing harbor eatery vibes. read more

I ordered my food to-go. The line to order was very long, but once you ordered the food came out quickly. The lobster roll was very delicious, lots of lobster inside and plenty of flavor. The bun was a little burnt but I didn't mind much. The tots were very crispy! I loved the flavor and the amount of cheese as well. The one thing is how expensive the roll is-- $34. We had an incredible time visiting the Sky Deck this morning and we're overwhelmed with choices to eat once done. We happened upon this gem on the ground level of the Willis tower. As a mom trying to keep two kids fed and energized on anything other than sugar and fried foods, this place was perfect! The salmon was delicious and the greens were fresh and crisp! This is my favorite Brown Bag location out of the three I've tried! The staff here are seriously the most considerate. I forgot my wallet one time and they literally helped me set up Apple Pay because I really wanted a cookie (LOL... they are really good). I like their popcorn shrimp and salmon veggie box and would recommend those too. It's nice that they have ice cold drinks available and water. I come here somewhat regularly and it's always great.
