The Tot Sampler had fresh fried tots, very large portion of tots. The buffalo sauce was my favorite but the truffle-parm tots were a close second. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It occupies a small store front, almost a take-out stand in many ways, so ambiance wise...well there really isn't any.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are three booths and some bar seating on the other side, but that's about it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You place your order at the counter and fill your own drinks at the self-service fountain and sauce bar. Once the food is ready, they'll bring it to you if you're eating in or call your number if you're taking it to go. The food offerings was decent. Their chowder was flavorful and had a nice consistency and texture. The fish and chips was crispy to the point of maybe overcooked and their salmon was good. However, that's the best thing I can say about their food. It didn't blow me away, but it wasn't bad. It was good enough. What wasn't good was their service. They seemed almost annoyed with us when we entered the store and layout, while the space was small wasn't very clear. When I went up to where the staff was congregating I was told in a dismissive way that I need to order at the other end of the counter. However, because all three employees were at this end of the counter I didn't think that was the case. I also had to find out that the beverages were self service and when the food was ready, I went up to the counter only to be told that they will bring it to me, but not in a friendly way. In a city with a lot of options for seafood, this was the type of service that closes restaurants. It was rude, dismissive and intrusive. Glorious deliciousness!!! As I was driving by I saw this place. This use to be a Sprint years ago and I never paid attention to what it ever became until today. I drove past today and saw lobster roll on the window. It was like the angels were on my side I found a park too. I went in was greeted by D and another lady who was working with her. D took my order and explained to me what came on the Lobster Roll. It was a Maine Lobster Roll. I can't remember word for word what she said, but when she said it was tossed in butter I was sold! She also said it came with Parmesan Truffle Tater Tots... Mayneeee my mouth started watering!! It took about 10mins. I didn't mind!!! My tater tots were dropped in fresh grease and were being cooked to perfection! My lobster roll was being expertly made as well! D told me there was a variety sauces I could try with my meal. They had a "do it yourself" sauce area where you could put it in the container yourself. D recommended the "Boss Sauce" to go with the tater tots. I got the boss sauce and the buttermilk ranch. That damn Lobster Roll was soooo damn good! Buttery lightly sweet (the Lobster meat) delectable decadence!!!!!!!!! Now the meal was $38 but totally worth it! The lobster roll price has increased due to the global shortage of sustainable lobster. Those damn Parmesan Truffle Tater Tots tasted like Zeus made them personally and threw Parmesan on them like confetti! Salty crispy perfection! So good peeps! Since I can't give Brown Bag a 3.5 and it definitely is not a 3, I am awarding it 4 stars. First, all I can say is that I am happy that the options for quick, easy food are growing in this area! So, the opening of Brown Bag has been met with open arms (just me?). I ordered to-go online and the process was easy. It was ready within 30 to 40 minutes for pick-up. I had the crispy cod over salad. I honestly really liked the salad and the crispy cod. But the crispy cod was definitely very, very filling and slightly greasy. I think of the 4 or so pieces of fish, I ate two of them, so it felt like a good amount of food for the price to me! I am looking forward to trying more on the menu!! read more

This is a decent no-frills seafood shop to stop at if you want to eat a good cut of fish and a hearty side that isn't just fries or chips, without suffering the rigamarole of a full service restaurant and all the fussing over that comes with that. (And you're in the Gold Coast, so you're in the epicenter of fussing.) You just order at the counter, pick it up at the counter, fill your own sauce saucers, and that's that. I got panko-crusted cod and it was crispy and delicious. One of their three sauces - I think the house-branded one - was really weird, I think because it was just a combo of the other two. Steer clear of that one, maybe, but I liked the buttermilk ranch, which was Greek yogurt-based and much less offensive than most ranch dips. The food was a good deal as we were fortunately there during "golden hour." I had tuna and bf had fried fish. The food is pretty good. We each had the tater tots (with Parmesan?), which we liked, and the dinners come with a small salad and decent slice of garlic bread too. I got the mixed veggies which were pretty good, and bf got slaw which he liked. The food was tasty. Drinks tasted a little watered down. The restaurant is sort of seafood-y styled, clean, small ish but spacious. Seats in the booths were comfortable. I'd consider it fast ish food ++. Prices are good, food comes out fast. It seems much healthier than a hamburger chain. Aaron brought our meal to our table. This is our second time in a week. It's a great place and super tasty. Conveniently located 10 min away from our apartments and in the heart of Viagra Triangle. It's right next to Chipotle and across Sweet Green on state and Division. It costs about $20-30 a person but the quality of the fish is good. I got the shrimp with a veggie blend bowl. Wouldn not recommend the veggie blend. Super oily and barely cooked. Yesterday I got the quinoa bowl and it was much tastier. My bf always gets the catch of the day. It has so far been a delicious white fish. We also got truffle park tots, spicy cauliflower and classics tots. All of the were delicious so would recommend.
