I've been meaning to come here for months! Their specials posted on social media intrigued me. I decided to come here on a Saturday night for my mother's birthday. I read that they can be very busy and the do accept reservations so I easily made reservations on the phone the day before through Ashley. Wonderful! The location and building is so beautiful! It's perched on top of a hill and built just like a barn. The sun was setting when I arrived and it was such a beautiful sight with the trees and leaves. Alpine valley ski slopes are not far from here. Upon walking in, my parents and I were greeted by 2 wonderful and cheerful hostesses. They had our table ready right behind them. The front entrance leads into a beautiful full bar area. The bar is huge and lots and lots of TVs to watch sports at every angle. Great atmosphere. They do have a quieter spot in the back but I did not view this area for myself. Bathrooms are right next to the bar area. Our server was Sarah and she was absolutely wonderful! Great personality and so welcoming. I ordered the beet and goat cheese salad to start as an appetizer and the salmon BLT with sweet potato fries as an entree. My parents to order the pastrami sandwich and the classic burger. Shortly after ordering, Sarah came back to let me know the the salad was very big and asked if I still wanted it. She even offered to make a smaller size portion of it! I gladly accepted that offer and I thought was so thoughtful of her to do. When it came out, it was still a large portion so I couldn't imagine what the full portion was! The salad had sliced roasted beets, goat cheese, pecans, red peppers, spring greens, tomatoes, and a blood orange vinaigrette. I asked for no tomato and to switch the dressing to the maple balsamic. It came with the orange dressing and tomatoes but I didn't complain because it was so good! You could tell the ingredients were fresh! My meal came out with regular fresh cut fries instead of the sweet potato fries but Sarah was quick to give me a side of sweet potato fries when I corrected her. Simple mistake. I actually preferred the fresh cut fries more than the sweet potato fries. They were so good! The sweet fries were average to me. They reminded me of the sweet potato fries from Arby's. Lack luster. My salmon BLT was amazing! Fresh cooked flaky salmon on a whole wheat bun with greens and an aioli and bacon. Flavor was fabulous. My parents both enjoyed their meals as well. They dug in so fast I was able to get a picture. My dads pastrami sandwich looked so damn good. The menu had something for everyone( even kids)! It's a great atmosphere to come for any occasion (sport game, date, family/friend gathering) sit back and enjoy this beautiful space with wonderful staff and delicious food. COVID precautions are in place. I never felt unsafe here. I plan to come back as soon as possible and on a Friday because they always have delicious specials on fridays. The have daily specials so just ask! Brunch is also offered on Sundays which sound fabulous. Perfect time to enjoy brunch during a browns game in their bar area! I highly suggest checking this place out. The price point is alittle on the higher side but reasonable for the quality of food. The price for our meals was exceptional for under 50$ not including tip, my dad also got a beer. Entrees are priced a little higher but they sounded fabulous. Had Easter Brunch at the Brown Barn. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had early afternoon reservations and were seated on-time. The place was full and they were prepared for the Easter crowd. It was their brunch menu. There were choices for everyone. It was not a buffet. The staff was friendly and attentive. Everyone at our table was happy with their meals. We didn't feel rushed. They definitely deserve 5 stars! read more

To be honest, we have yet to have a bad meal at the Brown barn. It's a bit noisy inside because it's so packed all the time which I'm not complaining about but like I said their food is great their chicken sandwiches to die for the wings chicken tenders everything is wonderful food keep up the good job Brown Barn Tavern. read more

We ordered takeout on a Sunday night. When we went to pick it up at 6:30 the place was packed. We were there a week before on a Tuesday night to dine in and it was also packed. It is a pleasant atmosphere but the music was a little loud. They seemed to have enough workers which isn't the case everywhere these days. The burgers are some of the best around. They come with French fries which are better when you dine in than if you get them to go. Our orders were accurate and relatively quick. Overall a good neighborhood pub that is quite popular. I'm told that they take reservations and that might be a good idea especially if you plan on going on the weekend. read more

Amazing food and service well worth every $$$. We came in with reservations the place was not packed but definitely people enjoying. The owner Mark sat is where we chose welcomed us with a smile and warmth. He told us the specials and in conversation discovered it was our anniversary. Then our waiter came over Torren came over and the specials delivery was spot on the same. Come to find out he is Mark's son. Then Mark brought us out complimentary champagne!!! Had dinner there tonight and was so diappointed in the food. My steak tips were tough and not much food for the price. My friend had the ribs and they were so tough. You shouldn't have to work hard to get the meat off of the bone. This place is overrated and pricey for what they give you. I will never go there again or recommend the place to anyone. read more

I have food allergies and am very picky with my ordering (9/10 I have to send it back at other restaurants ) but my waitress Mariah was PERFECT in getting exactly what I needed. She was bubbly and responsive! I never had to ask for a refill as she beat me to it!! The owner Marco came to our table to say hello and welcome us. We learned that he was one of the founding managers at Burntwood in Chagrin Falls (which had/has a great reputation that ignited multiple other locations in Ohio and Florida) and took ownership of Brown Barn in July of 2019. The best part about this restaurant is their happy hour. I have gone many times and have loved it. Tonight I dined in at a booth in the back room. Our server was horrible. I ordered an item on the happy hour menu that ends at 6pm at 5:13pm and she looked at her arm and said it looks like we are done with that. She didn't check the kitchen, didn't say we are out just said she can't serve it. I have never been so disappointed in service. read more

The manager, Bill, and the entire team go out of their way to provide great service every time. The food is amazing and always fresh. We love the huge soft pretzel and tuna appetizer! Went for dinner tonight with my husband we had the pulled pork sandwich. The portions were huge. The food was very good. The owner went table to table asking if everything was good and if we needed anything. The restaurant was packed but he took the time to go to each table and make sure you were doing good. This truly is a hidden gem. I've driven past it multiple times but never thought it was what it was until I met some friends there. We went during a snow storm and I truly think that helped set the mood for us. It is like a ski lodge from Vermont tucked on Mayfield Road right next to alpine valley. You walk in and there is a large, rectangle bar with at least 20 TVs. It is such a fun place where you can easily make new friends, have fun with old, or just come to watch a game or two. The food was great! I ordered the NY Strip which I wasn't expecting it to be anything special but I was pleasantly surprised. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked to the temperature I asked for. It came with a variety of vegetables ( my only complaint about this dish is the vegetables were a bit undercooked) and delicious mashed potatoes. On top of everything, they had Great Lakes Christmas Ale on tap and a tall was only $7 (If you know how expensive some places charge GLBC Xmas Ale then you know this is a steal). We live 15 minutes from here and this was our first time in 5 years headed to the Brown Barn. The service (specifically the GM, Bill, and our server, Sarah) were so awesome. Very personable. My friend lives one mile away and says every day of the week this parking lot is slammed. And I can see why. The rumor I heard is many of the cooks are hired from the culinary school down the street. From the quality of the food, I wouldn't be surprised. Everything was great. The decor is comfy, warm, and rustic. Nice view of the ski slope, fireplaces, give it a ski chalet feel. All the staff were energetic and friendly. We started with the pretzel which served the four of us. I had the prime rib and my wife had the tuna tartare with a fresh salad. Next time I want to try the seafood risotto and the French onion soup, I hear those are very good too. We really enjoyed our meal, really nice spot. Make sure you make a reservation. My only complaint is they need a bigger parking lot. read more

Wow what a great little hidden gem. Yes it is a little dark and can be loud but don't let that scare you. I had the salmon blt and my guest had the filet steak. Both were great reasonably priced. They came at a good speed even though they were very very busy. You definitely will need a reservation if it is a weekend. If it is a snowy night try to get seat out back to watch the skiers. First time here and it was so good!! They have a special brunch menu every Saturday and Sunday with some yummy looking options. I had the avocado toast and it was the best I've ever had! My husband really enjoyed his pastrami sandwich off of the regular menu. Our server, Sarah, was wonderful -- attentive but not pushy -- and the prices seemed very reasonable. Great experience and can't wait to return! The setting is scenic, the service very friendly and the food delicious with lots of healthy options. We had the brussel sprouts appetizer which was devoured by adults and kids alike. I loved the variety of salads offered and settled on the berry salad topped with salmon. Not only was the salmon a very generous portion size for the price but seasoned and cooked perfectly! The husband got the deliciously thick burger & fries, also very tasty. We were with a group of 20 (of course we made reservations) and the service was very attentive, made excellent recommendations and quickly fixed any hiccups. The only "miss" was the kid's pizza which was extremely thin and not cut completely...(kids cutting leads to floor pizza and of course Moms taste their kid's food) I'll definitely return when in the area and will probably dream about that salmon! read more

We randomly found Brown Barn Tavern after visiting Ransom Sage Farms nearby and it was truly one of the best meals we have had in the Cleveland area. Our server was Logan and she was thorough and incredibly prompt and attentive. Food was very fresh and just flat out tasty. We got nashville hot chicken and peach habernero chicken wings, which were huge, crisp, and tasty. Chicken Philly was great and the waffle sweet potato fries were crisp. The fish tacos had a bit too much fish, but still good and the rice they came with was so flavorful. We also got a side of mac and cheese and it was delicious. Huge portions, so beware of that but we were glad to have leftovers. We will be back! read more

This place is fabulous!!!! Service is excellent; food delicious; and, good atmosphere. Burgers, ribs, wings, chicken philly, salad and french fries.... tried them all and all excellent. And did I mention the Ballpark pretzel???!!! The servers seem to support each other and the manager, Bill, is always following up to make sure you have what you need. The place has good food, good service and is very well managed. You can't ask for more, especially today when so many places are struggling. P.S. For those of you who prefer sitting outside, they do have a lovely patio with nice views. It is on the small size, but the table are adequately spaced apart. I forgot this place was here until I drove by one day...then suggested to my Mom that we have lunch there. We were greeted at the door by two older gentlemen that were very nice and accommodating. They sat us in a booth that had a beautiful view of the patio and the gorgeous scenery beyond. The drinks were well made but not overly strong. We both got salads which were huge and really delicious. After lunch we sat for a bit to chit chatted and no one bothered us or made us feel pressured to go to free up the table.
