My wife took me my sister and my mom out for our birthdays! One of the reasons we pick Logan's was the fact that we had a $50 gift card. The beginning of our meal started promisingly. Our server was friendly and professional. After ordering a round of beverages we also ordered two appetizers onion rings and the spinach dip. The onion rings were well presented and delicious. The spinach dip looked a little bit more pedestrian, but had some good flavors. I ordered their grilled chicken salad while my wife, sister, and mom all ordered variations of the sirloin tip lunch special. Our meals came out relatively quickly. Personally, I thought the sirloin tip lunch special presentations could've have been better. My salad was good looking and delicious! They're near the end of the meal. Our servers was seem to be spending a lot of time with another person while we were waiting on our bill. It seemed to take longer than necessary. That is primarily why this is a three star review by a four star review. I think this is probably the second time we've ever ate at Logan's. Not sure if we'll be going back anytime soon. read more

No wait on a Sunday night for party of 10. Server came w/ couple baskets of rolls. Took drinks right away. Great RealDeal meals @ $12 & up. Server started off good but she really faded as the meal went on.. no refills, forgot croutons (& said she'd look to see if there were any left as we saw table next to us all had em). Took way long for check & we had to ask another server for boxes since she disappeared. Everyone mostly liked their sides like salads (tho croutons were burnt), sweet potatoes (tho mine was 2x the size of wife's), fries (tho my portion was real wimpy), etc. My chicken sandwich was tasty but couldn't get a side of mayo. The potatoes were the only thing that was decent. My steak--ordered medium rare--was raw in the middle, but tough and overcooked on the ends. My broccoli turned into mush if you even looked at it wrong. The mac n' cheese tasted like NOTHING. The shrimp was nearly white with tails so charred it turned my fingers black. Service was fine; I don't blame the waiter for working for such a garbage restaurant. The ambiance, however... the music was so loud. I have excellent hearing and I was still struggling to hear the person directly next to me. I had to scream for the waiter to hear me. I see now why this place only has a 2.7 star overall review. I told the manager I would be "yelping" them - so they've been warned. We purposely traveled 45 minutes to Ontario to dine at Logans. We've always enjoyed a great dinner and drinks there - and that's all we wanted after working outside the entire weekend in the heat. We could have dined closer to home, but we set out to Logans to have a tried and true pleasurable experience. But that was a bit much to ask. Issue #1 - The wine I had been looking forward to all day? Nope, they were completely out of Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio. Huh, how does that happen? Super poor bar management is the only answer. An offer of Rose or some other type of wine was made. I didn't hide my disappointment. What restaurant runs out of wine - especially one that specializes in steak offerings? Someone did not do their job on the alcohol order - and I do not drink the varieties offered - I made that clear (crystal) Admittedly my disappointment was obvious. I reluctantly ordered a Titos and soda with LIME, sorely disappointed in the unavailability of my choice of wine. Once again an offer of a substitute variety of wine was offered by the server (I guess she didn't hear me the first time when I said I did not like anything other than my first or even second choice) My drink came - NO LIME. Now that seems like a small thing, perhaps a bartender oversight - BUT Why would the server even bring it without a lime? As it turns out - she told me they were OUT OF LIMES - So I guess she assumed it would be okay to deliver a drink not as ordered. And Whoa!! - yet another bar manager faux pas. The restaurant Manager came over - "sorry, sorry, sorry". At which point I offered to her that Meiers was within walking distance (I didn't say, but should have that with all the servers standing around, drinking their beverages and basically looking useless - especially the young man who looked like he might be an assistant manager but was essentially doing nothing), surely you could send someone over to purchase wine and limes? - Not an unheard of solution for an establishment that might have cared about their patrons' experience. As a side note, I once ordered an ice cream drink at a restaurant in Traverse City Michigan. I witnessed the server run out the door, past the window and then just a short time later, run past the window again returning with what was obviously ice cream in a store bag - Now THAT is the way to handle an item being 86'd - very impressive and a lasting memory Anyway - back to my complaints Suddenly, magically, mysteriously the female manager came back with a PLATE FULL of lime slices from "the kitchen" - Hiding those limes I see!! The amount of lime slices presented was a bit of an overkill and surely an "in your face" statement - but whatever, I got my second choice of drink eventually served the way I ordered it. Meg, who "got to" be our server (over used way to approach a table) was "okay" but did a terrible job of handling a disgruntled customer. The dinner experience was ruined - however, as I write this I am enjoying my leftover NY Strip and Crab Cakes for lunch. No complaints on the food - but folks? Food is not the only reason people dine out - it's about the experience. The cost of the meal before tip was $94.50 for 2 - not really that outrageous - but not worth the aggravation. I'd pay more to have a glass of chardonnay! BTW - we won't be making the 45 minute trip to Logans ever again. As a side note - the absolutely wonderful male server who has taken care of us in the past is obviously no longer there - another reason not to return. read more

The last several times we have gone to Logan's our meals were not good. The steaks were fatty. They were never cooked to the correct temperature. I ordered mine medium and it came out like beef jerky. My husband ordered his medium and it came out blue. We both had to send our steaks back but they left our potatoes instead of replacing the entire meal. We had not eaten any of our potatoes when we sent the meat back. By the time our retired steaks came back out, our potatoes were cold. We asked for more bread to eat instead of the cold potatoes but they were in the oven. She was supposed to bring some out when they got done but we never saw any rolls. I will not go back unless I were given a gift card as a gift. That was the only reason we went last time. We received a gift card from our kids for Christmas. The waitress did a fair job bringing our beverages and keeping us informed on the delays or I would have only given Logan's a 1 star. As for the atmosphere, it was your typical Texas style steakhouse. It was a bit chilly but it was extremely cold outside when we were there. So I've been in the food service industry for 29 years and I loathe leaving bad reviews but this place misfired on so many fronts. So it was 3 of us my girlfriend, best friend, and myself. First the booths they say us at had active spider webs I'm talking spider living in the web. Then they sat us and we didn't get us their customary rolls until I said something a few times. So it came time to order we got an onion ring appetizer, my girl got a salad, friend got the chopped steak, I got the BBQ platter. The onion rings were huge and good like really good we were shocked at how much we liked them can't beat a freshly battered onion ring. So off to a good start we were really hopeful. So next our entrees came out my girlfriend's salad was enormous and she loved it. My friend want very happy with his chopped steak but mainly because he want aware a chipped steak is just a burger patty that's his own fault. Onto my BBQ platter. First thing I tried was the chicken leg, it was smokey and moist and quite decent. But that's where that ended the ribs were prob the worst ribs you can but like little to no meat the meat that was there was so insanely dry, smoking does not mean things need to be dry that's what periodic basting is for, then I had the sausage this was very clear super cheap kielbasa and the gave the tiniest piece possible, but man the potato salad man was that atrocious, the potatoes were clearly old they were spongey and wett and clearly pre cooked potatoes that sat in the walk-in for too long that for some reason the probably assumed would be rehydrated by the god awful dressing that was 99% yellow mustard. It was bad. Need less to say I didn't finish my food got a to go box and it just sat in my fridge. But all I'm all I still wanted to give this place a chance. I saw their ads they're running on Facebook that's what made me come here let's just say the ads are not telling the truth. So any how we decided let's try desert maybe that will be good. We ordered the cheesecake which was a key lime cheesecake so it got to the table and it had a very prominent finger print in it we all looked at each other I very loudly said no way and we laughed. Whatever we figured let's try it. It was pretty eh that's the best way I can describe it. We were mostly confused by how something could taste like something and nothing at the same time. I can tell the staff really wants this place to work, they try but it needs help. Details matter and all it takes to lose a customer is one bad experience. Last weekend was my first time eating at Logan's Roadhouse in Ontario, Ohio. Emmanuel was AMAZING!!!! I made sure to tell him how great of a job he did serving our table of 12 for a friends birthday party! He shared that he grew up around there and always had a great experience when he ate there as a young boy. He felt he needed to represent when he grew up and took a position as a server! The youngest son of the friends birthday actually asked for the crew to come back and sing a second time..... AND THEY DID!!! We had an incredible time and can't wait to go back! Wowzer!!! I am a steak snob and the Logan steak is perfect! I almost did not get food from here because of the low reviews. These reviews must not be about the Logan steak! It is the best, juiciest, well priced and melts in your mouth steak. It does not stop there, the sweet potatoes should be called the sweet sweet. It was made amazingly and so perfectly. My first time here. Customer service wasn't bad but the wait time to get food etc. was extremely slow. As an appetizer I ordered the spinach dip with nachos and an entree. It took about 20 minutes for the appetizer to come out followed by an extra 15 minutes for the food to come out. I honestly thought the food was going to be amazing since it took so long for the food to come out and the place wasn't busy at all. The food had no flavor. I ordered chicken with sweet potato and baked beans. The baked beans was definitely a no. I just couldn't eat it. Had no flavor at all and didn't taste baked either. Lacey was our server for lunch and she did not disappoint! This place is awesome! We passed thru the small town of Ontario, Ohio on our way home from vacation and we were welcomed right away with attentive service and delicious food. We started with an appetizer of Spinach and Artichoke Dip. The chips were really fresh and hot and the dip had shaved Parmesan that melted in your mouth. Our salads were crisp, fresh, and extra cold which we love. My fiancé had the country fried steak and homemade house chips which he said was delicious. I had the buttermilk fried chicken and a baked potato, both were excellent. The chicken was thick, the meat was juicy, and the breading was perfectly fried. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for late lunch/early dinner. This could have easily been a 2-star rating, if not for the actions of employees. We walked into the bar area, to sit at the bar to eat. The bar was covered in dirty dishes and glasses. Had to wait for our area to be cleaned while the rest of the bar remained covered with glasses and dishes that needed to be clean. The bartender, Kendra was OUTSTANDING! She earned an extra star for this place. Ordered our food - steak, salad, potato. Steak ad potato came - no salad. I asked the young man who brought out the food "What about our salad?" His response - "Ask your server." OK. Got the attention of the manager and explained all that was going on. To her defense, she reacted promptly and gathered her team and got things cleaned up pretty quickly and stayed there to help out the poor bartender. AND - our food was delicious. Best service and food we had in a long time. I don't mind waiting for the food as long as it is right and warm. I had to wait on my crab cakes because the first ones were overcooked, they were caught at the expo before they came to me. I can appreciate the attention to detail and they were worth the wait. My steak was prepared perfectly and actually well seasoned. My daughter loved her ribs and my husband enjoyed his sliders.
