We have been here about 1x a month lately without any complaints, other than being so full we need a nap when we leave. The service is always great, even when slammed. Great selection of cocktails, and the bartenders are excellent. The Southern Charm burger is my fave. So delicious! Their brunch is great, but they are BUSY during Sunday brunch so be prepared to wait a few mins. Outdoor seating is nice, but limited. Parking is never an issue in the adjacent lot. Horrible customer service I sat down I need to charge my phone which I cannot leave exposed due to HEPA Laws I asked for an empty table next to a power plug and was told I could have it and then was told I could not have it they could've solve this very easily by giving the other party to table side-by-side in addition they don't practice social distancing here everyone is crammed in together all in all I have to say this is the worst service I've received in any restaurant in Georgia and I've left some really nice reviews about several restaurants this restaurant does not deserve any stars unfortunately we have to leave one right? Massive Covid failure ,massive failure in customer service We stayed 30 minutes waiting for a salad and then could not consume it near a power outlet.... We really enjoyed the food! This is a nice place but we were seated close to the kitchen. The place needs a thorough cleaning. what I could see in the kitchen area was pretty nasty. there was grease on everything that was up high. the AC condensate lines, white pvc, were nearly black. the AC return filter was covered in dust. Very very impressive. First we bought a fabulous tie dye T-shirt !! That is so so cute. I'm so excited to wear it!! The atmosphere is rustic but very modern and I loved it! We had such a good time! It was super busy and we struggled with making room because we were a group! For appetizers we shared the barbecue nachos that were on pork rinds! So unique. We also had the sin dip which was artichokes and cheese with bread. My friend and I shared the Apple butter jean sandwich and the Caesar salad. The sand which had Apple butter and Apple slices which was different but in a good way! The salad had shrimp and the cheese was good. Most every meal at our table was perfect and we all enjoyed the Mac and cheese!! It was creamy ! A great place for an enjoyable meal!!! I definitely recommend! read more

Brown Dog used to be great, but the management has changed, and the last time I was there the dish I had ordered was not edible. The facility is nicely presented, and the wait staff is always great, but if the same cook is there as was there on my last visit, things will be bleak for that place. The fish I ordered was so ruined that I could smell it when it was at least 6 feet away. It was rejected, and the other choice I made was fine. Not great, but edible. I'll give them another chance as it is an important part of the Carrollton restaurant selections. I just hope they get a new cook. read more

Celebrated our 26th anniversary here tonight. To drink I had an OH Canada Old Fashioned. Delicious. Hubby had a Printer's ale Black. Tasty. I 8rdered an Apple Butter Jean's sandwich with a side of house fries. So yummy! Hubby had the special which was a toasted club with Mexican Street Corn side. Both of us had leftovers for tomorrow. When the waitress realized it was our anniversary she gave us four delicious beignets for dessert. I love Brown Dog. read more

Brown Dog is hands down, my favorite restaurant in Carrollton! Whenever someone comes to visit me, I bring them here. Whether I'm with a group of six or by myself at the bar, I always have a great experience. They change their menu pretty often, but the popular dishes usually remain. Their burgers are great and so is the Mac and cheese! My favorite meal here, though, has to be the Caesar salad and she crab soup. That soup is heavenly! The salad is made fresh with grilled shrimp and fresh grated cheese. The soup is nice and creamy and perfectly seasoned. I love this place! read more

My favorites are the Southern Charm Burger, the Three Little Pigs wrap, and I love the southern sin dip as an App. They always have some interesting specials as well. When you think of a place when your mind wanders, it's 5 stars. Found by accident while searching for a veterans center. Sat at the bar to eat by myself. The bartender was in the business of bar tending. Not a bartender till my fill in the blank career takes off. He presented me with a rough list of drinks he had crated, that hadn't been added to the menus yet. I was delighted by my choice and he was happy to explain why the ingredients worked together. If that had been it, I may have still given 5 stars. The food. Shrimp and grits had me licking the plate. The man next to me ordered chicken and waffles that came with duck fat gravy. Place wasn't that busy. It was 6 in our party. My partner, two of our children, and my partners parents. Seating was fast. We waited a little bit for our server but it wasn't a concern. She walked up and was polite. We ordered our drinks and were ready to order. It seemed to annoy our service that we were ready. She brought out drinks. We had diet Coke's, water and we had two drinks from the bar. Our drinks were all brought at the same time. Not a huge deal but it was a several minutes. Just get like the water and diet Coke's could have gotten there faster. Once our drinks were dropped off we didn't have any interactions with our waitress for some time. No refills, no "your food will be out shortly". Just kind of like she forgot about us. We didn't wait to long for our food. My partners father and myself ordered the bison burger(the days special), my daughter ordered chicken fingers. My partner ordered the duck fat fries. When they were brought to the table the food looked amazing. So four of the six ordered had arrived. We asked our server a few minutes after four of the six entrees had been delivered to the table. She said she would check on it. I watched her no do that. She got drinks for other tables and went behind the bar to talk with other employees. My partner went up to the food window to check, because clearly the server wasn't helping. They said it would be right out. Ten minutes later, a Philly sandwich, and a kicker chicken wrap arrives to our table. My mother in law and our son were able to eat. They had cold fries. My bison burger was over cooked and dry. Not good. My father in laws was cooked correctly and he seemed to like it. Again service was not good and we had to ask for refills, and not from our server but other employees. Food was fine at best. This place usually has great food. But today our visit was not good. Bad service and so-so food at best. We will be back for sure, just not a great day for them. read more
