The chairs were uncomfortable, with curved edges that pressed into my kidneys the entire time. It reminded me of sitting in a high school classroom desk rather than relaxing at a restaurant. Service wise I didn't really know who my server was, maybe they switch? I ordered the mac and cheese and felt pretty neutral about it. I was not digging it, but I was not hating it either. It tasted more like Alfredo than traditional mac and cheese, which was not what I was expecting. The shrimp, however, were good and easily the best part of the dish. Overall, I still had a good experience. The atmosphere is nice, and while a few things missed the mark, it was not enough to turn me off completely. The restrooms are located on the side and not near the Hucks sign, which is good to know. I would return.

So I was expecting a lot better than what I experienced. The food was pretty decent, but nothing over the top. There wasn't a wait to be seated, which was nice, but it did take what felt like forever to actually get our food. The server was very nice and friendly though, which certainly made up for the amount of time it took to get a couple of sandwiches and fries. We'll try it again at some point, hoping that perhaps it was just an off night for them? read more

The food smelled great, it looked wonderful, the menu sounded alsome. But we wanted to order it to go. We were explained that we had to have a seat at the bar to do a to go order. The bar was full. I went to the manager and asked if they could make an exception. He denied our request and said I must wait for a seat to open at the bar and could not help us. I come here to get The best Ahi Tuna sandwich but today I ventured off my normal path and ordered the blackened catfish poboy. The sand which was great. The blackened catfish wasn't over spiced and the fish was flaky and tasty. My side of cheese grits was awesome. The menu had a decent variety - salads, pastas, pizzas. I don't recall if there were other items. My wife got some sort of pasta dish that wasn't what she expected but she liked it. I also got a pasta dish - angel hair pomodoro. I thought this would be angel hair pasta with the 'pomodoro' in the form of a red sauce. The pasta was there, but the tomatoes were finely diced along with some onions and greens. It was different, but fine. I finished it. So don't be surprised with variants from 'standard' presentations, but the food is good. They appeared to have a full bar and a decent wine / beer selection, but we skipped that this time. We also skipped dessert. If I'm back in Carrolton, I'd consider stopping in again.

Left a 20% tip anyway is it will be the last cent the restaurant ever gets from me.
