I was also told the age of my tires might be leading to dry rot. (5 years) When I got out on the highway, the vibration was WORSE! I had to drive at a slower speed to a Subaru dealer in VA. They told me I had a bubble in one tire, & they were "feathering". I had them check the brakes, & they MEASURED the brakes pads at 3 mm, which indicated they needed replacing. Tires were on sale. So I replaced! My Master mechanic son-in-law, When he had taken a look at my tires & heard my story, said: "You need to find a new place to take your car." Wasted $175!

The last time they performed this, some of the lugs were just hand tightened. When I checked today, they were not 130lbs again SAFETY CONCERN. Next, when I was checking the torque, I noticed one of the lugs did not match the others. It was a 13/16 and not a 7/8 like all of the other ones. Just great, it had I gotten a flat tire in my truck, I would not have the appropriate socket to get the tire off and put the spare on. I called the store and talked to Joe, he said that they replace the lugs when they are rusty. Not a single one of my lugs has rust on it. I don't know why they would've switched it out. I hope the thread patterns are the same and not cross threaded now. Joe told me to come back into the store and he'll get me the correct size lug. Unfortunately, I can't do it today because that would be another hour round-trip. Had I had a flat tire, I would not have been able to get that tire off because I did not have that socket in my truck. I would've been stuck calling a tow truck. Staff are friendly and they always get me in right away. They need to work on their attention to detail. Peoples lives are at stake.

I asked her how much of a credit they gave her and she said they did not give her a credit because she could not prove tire rotations even though all tires had the same tread depth and all were worn evenly. Besides new tires they said we needed ball joints, struts, tie rods, sway bar links, bushings, trailing arms. We left without doing the work since our car ran fine. We brought it to another garage for tires which we did need and asked for them to inspect steering. They did not see anything wrong with any of the other recommended repairs and said we were scammed. Just to be sure we brought the car to our local Chevy dealer and gave them the list from Duke's. We were told that there's absolutely nothing wrong with our car!
