I asked for a thorough HVAC check and was very happy preventative maintenance was done, and all explained to me. Everything works and appreciated!! read more

I've been using Browns Heating & Cooling since the Fall of 2018. I have used them for preventative maintenance before each major change in weather/seasons (twice a year). I have also hired them to install a humidifier unit as an accessory to our HVAC in our condo. Each and every interaction with this company, and their techs, has increasingly been more pleasant than the last. Browns consistently coordinates their appointments, and arrivals, quick and efficiently. The work performed by their techs is second-to-none. And their prices are great, especially considering the great work that is put into each project! I highly recommend this company. It's great to support small/local businesses like Browns, although they make it very easy with the care that they put into their craft. 5/5 read more

Very professional, dependable, and reliable. They really know what they are doing. Keep up the phenomenal work. I highly recommend this company. read more

Great customer service, quick to answer the phone and help answer my questions about my broken furnace. Found a way to somehow do a same day appointment. Arrived at house within hours and fixed the problem for below what other companies were quoting me. Will definitely use them again! Thanks Browns! Also, they sent a formal follow-up email receipt for the work they did which was nice to have for my records. read more

I found them via Yelp, requested a quote and scheduled an apt all through yelp. They responded quickly which was great. The tech called two hours early to see if he could come early as he had a cancellation. He quickly diagnosed the issue and had the part in his truck to fix it. I was very happy with the process. I would recommend them! read more

Very easy to schedule an appointment over yelp chat. There was a subtle smell of natural gas in our house, Peoples Gas came out to confirm a leak and indicated that we needed a new gas control valve. The tech that came out to replace it was great and most of the all, the price was reasonable. Thank you for being fair and honest with your pricing! read more

I was looking to get my furnace cleaned for the upcoming winter and was searching for companies and came across this one....they had good reviews so decided to give them a try...im so glad i did!! They responded to my email right away and was able to get someone out the next day. The technician was prompt, nice and explained everything to me in words that i was able to understand. There was no pushing of extra services or anything like that either. Their prices are also reasonable. There are alot of companies out there that do this type of work but reading some of their reviews also show that there are alot of companies out there who are going to try and take advantage of you or who may leave you hanging when it comes time to show up for an appointment. Not this company ...they were very upfront and good with scheduling . So definitely contact them if you need work done...i know they will be my go to in the future! read more

Browns Heating & Cooling is very responsive and communicative. They arrived on time for a thorough check and the work is done professionally. I would definitely use them again. read more

Wonderful experience. Our AC went out this year. Air was blowing, but it wasn't cold. Brown's had a technician out to our home quickly. The technician was awesome - he even arrived early! Of course he wore a mask and was very respectful of our home. We were told that we would need either this or that (sorry, I know nothing about ACs and didn't know what he was talking about). The technician told us he would try the first part, and if it didn't work, would try a second. He even had the parts in his truck! The first part worked. Within 30 minutes our AC unit was completely fixed and has worked like new! The technician even explained to me how my unit was doing, what to expect in the next couple years, and what kind of unit I should get in the future. The work has a year warranty - meaning if our AC goes out within a year, the company will apply what we paid ($230) towards a new unit. We love Browns and highly recommend them! read more

It's all about responsiveness! Brown HVAC were the first to get back to me with a reasonably thorough quote and happy to further clarify when I got another quote that had more detail. All quotes were provided from pictures that I emailed to the companies. I received four quotes in total and Brown's was low-mid, so pretty much in line with the others. Actually, I got 5 quotes, but one provider was so high I don't even consider it reasonable despite the fact that it was from the company who installed my HVAC last year! Anyway, the deciding factor was the responsiveness and communication from Enjoli. As far as scheduling and work both were expeditious. I made a decision mid-week and they were able to schedule me for the following Saturday morning so I didn't have to work from home during the week. Jaime and his assistant/apprentice were both friendly, courteous, and professional. They installed what was quoted (10 yr. Bradford White w/ correct model #), and wow what a difference it makes over the old Rheem. Rheem lasted a long time, it was time for a new unit and Browns uses BW tanks, which are also well regarded. It's a power vent which means there is some noise, but it's expected and about the same as before. We did however, have a nasty vibration that as it reverberated made an uncomfortable hum upstairs from it in the kitchen. Here's the best part. I reached out to Enjoli and after explaining the concern Jaime was dispatched on Monday afternoon, the same day I emailed, to help identify the issue. Solved it in about 30 minutes! First he tried to reinstall the blower on top to make sure everything was secured properly, which it had been. Then he noticed the vent pipe, which vibrates some, was up against the drywall where it went through to the other side. He cut and enlarged the opening and added silicone caulk to dampen the vibration. It worked! No more nasty vibration. Thanks for being so understanding and responsive. Recommended. read more

These guys are pros. Very professional, fair and honest. They expanded an old system of mine a few years back. It failed after a few weeks of use. They showed up at the drop of a hat and fixed it no charge. Solid, reliable hard workers. read more

Update: Brown's reached out directly to me and reviewed what happened. They were apologetic and respectful. While I'm disappointed with the initial work, I fully appreciative their response and professionalism. I'm confident this was a one-off issue and not a reflection on their overall business. read more

I had routine maintenance done on my HVAC system. Enjoli was on time for the appointment. And it was quick and informative! It was also easy to pay via credit card at the end. read more

Absolute BEST heating and cooling company ever! Yesterday I called to set up an appointment to have my AC and heating units checked. They could have fit me in on the day I called but I had other plans. Therefore, they came today - only a day later! The two men that came were kind, professional and totally fixed the problem with my AC. My unit is very old and I suggested replacing it - anyone else would have been like "yeah - time to replace, let's work on a quote" but after reviewing my unit I was told, "Hey, why replace what's not broke?" He replaced the clogged up drain pipes and now everything is working properly - no more flooding my laundry room! Lastly, I was really impressed with the bill - way less than I expected! As a single female, I often worry about getting ripped off or taken advantage of, but these guys were honest and totally trustworthy. Thanks so much for fixing my AC and being so awesome! 12/12/2019 - Well, again, Brown's heating to the rescue! I got back from a business trip last night (Wednesday) and when I turned the heat on, water started pouring out of my furnace humidifier! I was freaking out! A friend walked me through disconnecting it for the night to stop the water and still get heat, but I wanted it repaired ASAP! Brown's came over today (Thursday) and fixed the issue in less than an hour. In addition, the price was a lot lower than I was expecting. This company has come through for me twice now in the past 6 months. They are absolutely incredible! read more

Helpful, quick to respond, and the gentlemen that came out (sorry, it was a few months ago) could tell I had no clue what I was looking at, and explained everything to me very patiently and in detail. Instead of recommending a new AC unit, fixed a part, and it was cheap. When I do need to get a new AC unit, likely this summer or the next, I will be calling them again. read more

Quick and speedy service. I called for a support and had someone there in just over an hour. The tech was kind, prompt, and honest. Truly exceeded my expectations, plus my husband couldn't stop boasting about it at dinner. Great work! read more

I'm very happy with my service from Brown's Heating and Cooling. I requested a few quotes through Yelp and they got back to me almost immediately (on a Sunday). They asked for a photo of the unit (which seemed way more legit than a lot of responses I got back) and then promptly scheduled to come out the next morning between 10-12. At 10:15, they arrived and got to work between checking things in my condo unit and on the roof. They had diagnosed and fixed the problem within the hour. Ramod and his partner were polite, efficient and even made sure to cover their shoes before coming in. I really love that the $75 service fee goes towards repairs and diagnostics if you move forward. Prices were much more reasonable than other places I checked and I now feel much better in this 90 degree weather. Thank you! read more

I picked Browns because of the excellent reviews and it is no surprise why their ratings are so good. First, the communication and professionalism at the office is wonderful. They responded quickly and provided all of the necessary information. The install (AC and furnace) went well, Fernando explained everything they did, and everything seems to be working great. The price also could not be beat. read more

Cheers to 5 stars (more if it was an option). Their communication from the beginning was excellent. I was able to take pictures of my broken unit and received a quote via text. They replaced our HVAC quickly before July 4th as they knew there would have been a delay afterwards. Unfortunately, the unit had a leak - but they came back immediately and made the repair without a charge, moreover, they are coming back tomorrow to fix the dry wall that was damaged with no charge. They are quick, efficient, and honest! We are dedicated customers and will be sure to pass on their company. read more

Highly recommended! Start to finish a great experience. Brown's was quick to come diagnose our AC issue, fitting us in for an appointment just hours after we called. They actually undersold us on our repairs, recommending a smaller repair that was more cost efficient. After some research we decided to replace the entire unit to maximize our long-term investment and warranty. Browns was honest and competitive in their pricing, and was able to get a new unit installed in a day. The employees were professional and very efficient. read more

My experience with Browns certainly lived up to the rest of these positive reviews. Romad was professional, knowledgeable and provided great service. I knew I wasn't looking for just any HVAC since my issue was more likely to be electrical, and didn't want to pay an HVAC just to tell me to call an electrician. Browns was able to tell me they could handle my issue, and did so with no trouble. I was also satisfied with the price, which I wasn't too concerned about given these other positive reviews. Thanks Romad! read more

Contacted to have my HVAC maintenanced and setting up an appointment was easy. Technician came out next day and was very friendly and knowledgeable ..will be contacting once it warms up to service my AC. read more

Browns Heating & Cooling is GREAT and I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM. The dispatcher this morning was very helpful, making a suggestion on my broke furnace while at the same time scheduling service for me. Ramod came in LESS THAN AN HOUR, was courteous and was very knowledgeable. He offered suggestions on a water heater issue from the COMPETITION (that wasn't even the purpose of the service call), checked for gas leaks (again, not a function of this particular service call), and offered very detailed responses to my questions that I could actually understand. He worked quickly, and even pointed out a potential problem that might happen in the near future, and how to rectify it through an online purchase. I felt very comfortable with his expertise. I believe it's a great level of customer service when a technician helps you to UNDERSTAND what's happening, and not just come and fix it and leave. He left me with a greater understanding of my furnace and how it communicates with my smart thermostat and I believe Browns Heating & Cooling is great - I will DEFINITELY make my maintenance calls to them rather than 4 Seasons . . . read more

I wish I could give Brown's Heating & Cooling more than 5 stars!! The customer service was GREAT and the overall service appointment was even better. My Carrier AC unit was blowing warm air on one of the hottest days of the season AND to make matters worse its Memorial Day weekend so I was expecting to have to deal with this issue until at least next week. I called soo many companies who either didn't service my area in the south loop or wanted a ridiculous amount of money to diagnose the problem. I finally came across Brown's through Yelp, and after reading all of the awesome reviews, I decided to go with Browns. I went online and requested an appointment, and was impressed when I got an immediate response. Less than one hour after reaching out to their company, I had an appointment for Tuesday Morning and the price was very reasonable. By the next morning, I received a follow up call asking if I would like an earlier appointment and they offered to come out today ON MEMORIAL DAY. They were on time, polite, respectful, and very professional. My AC issue was diagnosed quickly, and they were very knowledgeable. This is honestly the first time I've ever experienced a HVAC person who was straight to the point & wasn't trying to scam me. The repair was done quickly and my house is now cool and comfortable. I wish that I had known about Browns sooner, because they are hands down THE BEST!!! read more

They serviced my furnaces for a reasonable price. They quickly sent me a copy of my invoice when I needed it for my taxes.

Fast response and excellent service. AC unit broke down out of nowhere in the middle of a heat wave and they fixed same day.

I never write yelp reviews, but Browns was so good that I absolutely have to. I had just moved into a new place in the middle of a heat wave to find the AC broken. They made it easy from the start. Enjoli was beyond responsive and very helpful. I found out later they were on vacation and she was still answering my emails and helping me out. My issue ended up requiring a handful of visits (by no fault of theirs) and it was very easy to find times that worked with my busy work schedule - no extra charges for outside bank hours like other companies. Ramod was very knowledgable and professional. He didn't give up until he figured out what was wrong with the unit, and shopped around for the best price and time of delivery for the needed parts. I could not have been more happy with Browns. HIGHLY recommend read more

I cannot say enough about this company. I've had three different companies come by and diagnose the issue. None we're as honest and open as this one. Got a new unit, saved money and learned a lot about my unit and customer service. This company is now my #1 for HVAC! read more

Browns was amazing! From discovering that the a/c stopped working to fixing it took under 2 hours! I heard back from Browns quickly through Yelp messaging and was super grateful that they had availability the same evening. The technician (Jesus) came super fast and diagnosed the issue quickly and was able to fix it on the spot. While I was thinking I would need to replace the whole a/c, Jesus did not try to upsell me and I found him to be professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend Browns. read more

Great service! The technician was very professional. He was extremely quick and efficient.

We have an addition on our house for extra room for upstairs which requires another hvac unit. Our electric bill has skyrocketed & it was still very unbearably hot. We know Enjoli personally & decided to try out the services provided & we were able to get a response same day & get serviced the next day! Jesus was very professional, he was easy to contact, & he was on time! He installed a new thermostat, changed our filter & we couldn't be more happy that our upstairs is finally cooling off! He even offered some good advice on how to keep our electric bill at a decent rate!! Thanks so much for your services because it was very affordable & efficient! read more

When my furnace started making a loud sound, they were able to send someone on the same day to perform diagnostics. After determining the root cause of the problem, they provided a quote for a fix and an estimate for when they could have it implemented by. I am glad I went with this business because they applied the initial diagnostic fee against the cost for implementing the fix. Additionally, I received quotes from several competing businesses to complete the same work and Browns was the cheapest one. read more

My A/C was not cooling properly, and I decided to try Browns on the basis of all their great Yelp reviews. I am so happy I did. Ramod and Rashad were quick, clear, efficient, fast, and friendly. Ramod was able to explain so that I understood what they needed to do, and what the cost would be. My unit is not old, but there was a leak of the coolant, and he explained how they use sealant to fix it. I appreciated their concern in wearing masks and booties in my house. Our furnace was malfunctioning and I was out of town. From the description, it sounded like a flame sensor. Mike (at 9PM by the way) was able to schedule a tech to arrive the next day.
