The Stone, as we affectionately call it, is a perfect neighborhood bar. They have a large menu, with options as healthy as salads and hummus bowls, but as unhealthy as fried chicken topped with onion rings. Their tots are a must, and the Buffalo chicken rolls are the kinda thing you'll order to share, then hoard to yourself. There is a good beer list, but don't sleep on the cocktails. The peach mule, sangria, and hibiscus lemonade have gotten me through many a work lunch (don't tell my boss). The staff is super friendly and attentive. I've never had a messed up order or missing drink. I usually come during my lunch break at work, and they're great at getting us in and out in an hour. My girlfriend walked in carrying an apple cider juice (non-alcoholic), and a bald man--who I believe may have been the manager--rudely yelled at her, accusing her of trying to bring alcohol inside. He was extremely unprofessional, even saying she couldn't drink it on the sidewalk or the property. He then told us we could not dine there. The way he handled the situation was completely disrespectful and unnecessary. We left immediately and will never dine here. Decent but not spectacular local bar. On a summer spring day I enjoyed their patio and great service but I can't say that I was overwhelmed by their food. I had with the chips and cheese dip, which was lackluster. Standard nacho chips and the cheese was semi-warm. Was visiting Chicago when we stumbled open this gem! Sat at the bar(wish i remembered his name, I wanna say it was Andrew?) my bf and I saw they had a whiskey flight so we got that to try with out our beers; it was delicious and nice to try different ones (and I personally am not a huge fan of whiskey). When you walk in, you will most likely be greeted by Tanya, who is the best GM hired and sets the tone. Recommend sitting at the bar, getting the barbacoa bowl, fish tacos ... burgers (in that order) and a beer (great rotation, though I personally have stuck with what I love). Bar can get packed for games, trivia ... and know that there can be a family dinner hour with kids. My husband and I order from here very often, usually through a delivery service. I haven't been going out much due to my horrible anxiety attacks and my high blood sugar. Due to this I have a service dog. So yesterday I decided to come in with my husband and service dog for the first time because we wanted to get out and check the actual restaurant out and I had the worst customer service from a manager ever. I also just had a procedure done on my leg and you can clearly see that I had bandages on my leg. I think the manager name is Adam, he is a bald guy. Before I even got to the front door, the manager didn't even want us there because I had my small 13 pound service dog with me. He was very rude, he sat us at the smallest table with horrible chairs that I couldn't even sit on because they were too high and I was sliding off of them because they were so slippery. Plus I couldn't sit on them because my leg was hurting from keeping it extended for so long so I wouldn't fall off the chair. He then said you're going to keep your dog on the floor right? I said yes, of course. Then he had the nerve to ask me what service does my dog perform. I of course told him right away. Then it looked like he was looking up the services of a service dog. He was the only person ever to ask me this out of the 4 years that I had him. Then he acted like he didn't even believe me. He kept staring at me and my dog. His attitude was so horrible and he made our time there just miserable. At least the waitress was very nice and friendly. I just couldn't believe this and he just made my anxiety and blood sugar go through the roof. Omg!!!! This place has the worst management ever!!! I really wanted to like this place because they had a great outdoor patio area and wonderful service. Due to COVID-19, the menu is online (via the QR code on the tables) and the restaurant is serving everything in one-time use disposables. As a result, there is an extra service charge due on your tab. As an appetizer, we ordered the hand battered cheese curds, which was pretty good (for those who like lightly battered curds). For food I ordered the traditional jumbo wing, half with garlic Parmesan and the other half with Guinness BBQ sauce. The wings were OK. One plus side is that There were quite a few in the order! This place is delicious! Came here for the first time today with a bunch of family members, a group of 9, and I was pleasantly surprised. We all ordered something different, as seen in the pictures, and everyone loved their food! I ordered the mac and cheese and it was wonderful, though I kind of wish the mac and cheese had regular bread crumbs instead of the parmesan ones because it was a little too much cheese for my liking since the mac and cheese is already made with three different kinds of cheese. On weekends, they have brunch until 3pm, and this brunch includes build your own Bloody Marys and it was great. They have at least 12 different hot sauces to choose from, Zing Zang mix or the restaurants own, and different cheeses and meats that you can put inside, along with jalapenos, different kinds of olives, banana peppers, and different types of powders, such as cayenne, chili, and celery salt. My bloody turned out absolutely amazing because I mixed a bunch of their pineapple habanero hot sauce with Zing Zang mix. Honestly wonderful. After the bloody, I ordered a 1/2 carafe of red sangria and it was wonderful, though it was sweeter than some others I have tried elsewhere. Our service here was absolutely wonderful and our waitress was a sweetheart and very attentive. The restaurant was pretty slow because right down the street, Ribfest was going on, but regardless, I enjoyed my experience. They have tons of wonderful items on their menu, and they also have plenty of sides to choose from, which is definitely a plus because too many places do not have many side options. I went to pick up a bottle of bourbon from a barrel club I belong to. I figured I'd check this place out as I had an appetite, as did my brother in law. We were happy with the bourbon selection and drinks offered. The waiter was friendly and attentive. I ordered shrimp tacos and my BIL ordered the chicken pesto sandwich. Decided to grab a beer here on a freezing cold Chicago night. The restaurant is large enough to seat a bunch of people comfortably in various seating styles including partial booths. I appreciated the restaurant being warm and cozy on such a cold night. The restaurant had a nice beer list and we chose a Half Acre IPA. The beer was great but could have been a little colder . The waitress was helpful and quick to grab anything we needed. We decided to split the buffalo chicken sandwich on pretzel roll. It was SO good. I loved the onion rings on top. They also gave a HUGE portion of tater tots, which were hot, crispy, and delicious. The two of us couldn't even finish them. I like that the bar was crowded but not overly crowded. It was no problem getting a table on a Friday night and had plenty of room for large parties. It was also kid friendly without being overtaken by children. This place would be five stars easy if they added some more vegetarian options to the apps. It would be great if they had a veggie burger slider option... and added the option of getting a single fish taco or vegetarian taco.... maybe a goatcheese marinara. We will be back! read more

I got the fish tacos which came in a set of 3 along with a bowl of cilantro rice. You can choose 3 different tacos, but I went with 2 shrimp tacos (Courtney recommended) and one sauteed tilapia. The Tilapia taco was pretty decent, but the shrimp tacos were surprisingly meh....wasn't very flavorful and was just plain weak. The cilantro rice was the antithesis of flavor and taste...I had to use my buddy's ranch dressing from his wings to help out there. Later in the night while the fight took place I got hungry again from all the liquor I was drinking so I decided to order 3 sliders (1 mini burger and 2 smoked brisket sliders) and they were much better than the tacos and rice. Everything was fine until our dairy-allergic friend noticed there was cheese at the bottom of his tacos even though he had told the server he was dairy free. Not noticing until he had eaten the majority of his food, he noticed the manager and promptly needed to leave. I'm writing this review because the manager, David, did what every good manager would do and took care of our bill. It was extremely gracious of him and he came over and made sure all of us were ok. Ordered a burger and tots for lunch on Uber eats and it was great! Very filling. I am ordering lunch for the second day in a row.

Unfortunately, not a great experience. They were severely understaffed so our poor waitress did an amazing job considering, but the wait was incredibly long for mediocre food. Value: 2/5 Sunday nights they have $5 Miller/Coors Drafts as the special. Cool. Not a wild deal but not a bad deal. Only problem is that on the regular drink menu they only have Miller Lite and Coors Lite, priced at $5, which isn't compatible with the idea of a "special". General oversight is an optimistic explanation. Combined with the quality of my salad, I'm calling this a two, or overpriced. Overall, I would not recommend this place to friends, even though it's very close to where I live. In Chicago, there are so many options for food and drink, it's part of what makes the city so great. One of my favorite neighborhood spots! They have a good selection of beer and lots of TVs. Since it's usually fairly dark on the inside, we love sitting outside on Larchmont (though I'm looking forward to having the TV back outside soon!). There's a good selection of burgers, sandwiches and apps, but one of my go-to orders is the shrimp tacos - there's a perfect amount of spice and they're super filling. It's almost my exclusive order. Our friends also really like their brunch menu, so it's been our to-do list for a while.
