Lovely experience! Fantastic and attentive service. Really cool vibes. The space is large, bright, and open. Plenty of TVs with various games playing. Great place to watch the World Cup. I love the high ceilings, decor, and lighting. Comfy chairs too. Indoor and outdoor seating. Excellent food and beverages! The mango lemonade was very refreshing. I loved the Buddha Bowl! Wow!! I added tofu to mine and it was very tasty, The peanut sauce was so good! I slurped all the leftover sauce up. The curry fries were very flavorful too. I would definitely come back here.

Great late lunch ambiance and terrific nourishing food for my wife, me, and 12 year old son. Collectively we had sorrentina salad, soup, and salmon.

A nice Irish restaurant in the area. We had a big group and dined in the back room. We had to flag down service a couple of times as it was a busy night. Other than that everything was quick. I liked my tequila cocktail, and all the delicious food we got. The kalbi hot wings were huge but nothing authentic in terms of flavor profile and not spicy - but tasty nonetheless. The fish and chips were also a big portion and delicious and crisp. We also got a side ceasar and a side of Mac and cheese. Both were so tasty too. It was a great meal and spot to grab some food with friends in the area.

Between the tasty Irish inspired menu with dietary friendly options, lively atmosphere, and beautiful decor, Lady Gregory's is an inclusive neighborhood institution and guaranteed good time! We stopped by for Sunday brunch and it was packed- I would recommend making a reservation during prime time. The staff were very friendly and did not rush our group. For appetizers, we split the cheddar artichoke dip and deviled eggs. Both were flavorful and satisfying. For the main event, I opted for the avocado toast with egg whites alongside Irish grits, which were both super filling and delicious! The grits especially were rich, loaded with cheese, and perfect on a cold day. This is a must order. I loved the buttery bread used for the avocado toast and the generous amount of toppings. I felt that the prices were pretty reasonable given the large portions as well. My only wishlist item is that there were more options for coffee, which was only available as a standard drip. I will absolutely be back soon and look forward to trying more of the delicious looking menu!

While in the neighborhood we were looking for a late lunch and came across Lady Gregory's. We were greeted upon entering and seated. Our server took our drink order quickly. Our group Deviled Eggs, French Onion Soup. Soup of the Day, Shepherd's Pie and Reuben Sandwich. All comfort foods. The food was good and flavorful, but it took awhile for it to come out. Our server did check in a few times and informed us when it would come out. For an Irish experience it was a solid option.

Lady Gregory's brings the vibes of an Irish pub to Andersonville. They've got a lot of space and a beautiful bar in the center of the restaurant. My girlfriend has been wanting to come here ever since she heard they have gluten-free fish and chips. They were fantastic and cooked perfectly. Sometimes you have to worry about soggy fish, but these were crisp and flaky. They were also served on top of delicious French fries. We also ordered the gluten-free wings. They were good not great but it was more of a personal preference as I don't really like meatier drumsticks. Overall, we had a great time dining at Lady Gregory's. Also, bonus points for having a dedicated gluten-free fryer for people with a gluten-allergy or celiac.

Ambiance is really nice, albeit a bit dark. Request a table near a window. Service was attentive and responsive, thank you! My daughter ordered the Classic Burger and I had the Gastro Burger. We both agreed that they were just okay, nothing special. I'll probably order something different the next time. BUT...if you like desserts, then do yourself a huge favor and order the Sticky Toffee Pudding with an Irish Coffee. Wow! You're welcome.

Stopped by with a friend since we were walking by. Decor was busy, but in a fun, eclectic way. I didn't catch the name of our server, but he could use a refresher on treating all of his customers the same. He clearly was friends with the people at the table next to us and spent most of his time chatting with them. It took forever for us to get water, order, and to get our food, boxes, and check. The food, sadly, wasn't worth all that hassle. I got the Blackened Shrimp (cold, old, and flavorless) and the Creamy Chicken & Gnocchi Soup (decent, but nothing amazing). My friend got their Ultimate Grilled Cheese with Bacon Sammich and it was definitely the best food of the night. This is the only thing I would recommend from here. Would've been a 3 if not for the issues with our server.

amazing atmosphere! amazing food! awesome service! my favorite restaurant in chicago. :) i know whoever i take here will absolutely love it. it is my go to for any special outing with family. there are so many delicious options but the rosemary chicken has to be in my top five meals of all time!! i'm not usually one to order chicken at a restaurant, but after having a bite of my girlfriends, i will never order anything else. the chicken is so tender and the flavor profile is off the charts!! the deserts and appetizers are delicious as well! you simply can't go wrong here. they also decorate for christmas

THE most packed place in Andersonville during the holidays, reservations recommended, wait without? not terrible, approximately 30 minutes. Staff vibe is so very sweet, and the folks bringing out the food are busting their humps with feats of strength, full trays of meals one handed and delivered table side. Interior and decor really depends upon where you are seated. It's cozy, and festive and an obvious staple in the hood. A shout out to Kora for taking such good care of us. The chicken pot pie was visually impressive and very yummy; and they nailed the sticky toffee pudding.

Really loved this place- Came here on a Sunday night when we just wanted a cozy atmosphere and pub food. This place definitely delivers, and they have really great decorations for all of the holiday. I definitely want to come back around Christmas time! I got the blackened chicken club with sweet potato fries. They served the sweet potato fries with maple syrup, which I thought was really fun. The sandwich was really good! My parents got the burger and the gluten-free fish and chips. The fish and chips were excellent and I would definitely order those the next time I go here! Service was great (I tried a mocktail and didn't like it at all, but she took it off the bill, which was really nice) and overall, I loved this place!

Cannot recommend Lady Gregory's enough! One of my favorite neighborhood spots for sure and an absolutely excellent choice for a cozy night, especially in the winter. Hospitality is warm and inviting from the moment you walk in, even at busy times. I had a wonderful evening with a friend sat at the bar and given spot-on recommendations for drinks and delicious food. The bar is stocked exceptionally, well with a wide variety of spirits, beers, and wines as well as a seasonally curated cocktail menu! I had the french onion soup and a side caesar - easily one of the best french onion soups in Chicago. My friend had the chicken pot pie and it was heavenly! The two of us enjoyed a few glasses of the Cousino-Macul Cabernet Sauvingon, a beautifully medium bodied Chilean red with a 2017 vintage making for a fruity and warm wine for the winter. We just so happened to be there at the perfect holiday moment, surrounded by twinkling lights, golden ornaments, and garland galore; Ol' St. Nick himself even made an appearance and made the rounds to the joy of all.

Jamie W and I visited Andersonville one evening because we heard it was Chicago's primary LGBTQ neighborhood, that is, if you're not a post-pubescent Boystown club hopper. We assumed the area skewed older, which was fine by us since we skew in that direction ourselves. Somewhere between the lushly lesbian Nobody's Darling (review: https://yelp.to/ua8AJVTI8S) and the gamefully gay Meeting House Tavern (review: https://yelp.to/3-VnJ1hz3w), we made a pitstop here. Unlike the other two bars, this place felt rather staid. It's a very traditional Irish gastropub with servers in matching polo shirts. It was a perfectly decent bar, just not quite the vibe we were looking for that evening if you know what I mean. Quite crowded with Cubs fans watching the flatscreens, we still stuck around at their secondary bar sipping $13 Espresso Martinis (photo: https://yelp.to/UQlri-oXNl) and even nibbling on a $9 order of Deviled Eggs (photo: https://yelp.to/3oEfxjyxM4). It was all good, but we moved on quickly to seize the big gay night. COCKTAILS / FOOD - 3.5 stars...just fine, no complaints AMBIANCE - 3 stars...a very straight, upright bar SERVICE - 3 stars...minimal contact TOTAL - 3 stars...rather generic experience all things considered RELATED - Exploring Chicago? I stopped by recently after passing by many times and this couldn't be further from my experience! At around 6:30pm on a weeknight, it was pretty deserted. I think some music in the background could have helped the vibe a bit. The staff gave us our choice of seating and was friendly and attentive throughout. We started with the dry rub chicken wings with buffalo sauce and the cheese curds. I was very surprised with how good both were- the chicken wings were extra crispy, not too greasy, and seasoned very well. The cheese curds were also extra crispy on the outside and delightfully melted on the inside. The marinara sauce served alongside was average, but they went super well with the creamy ranch dressing. For mains, we ordered the corned beef with cabbage and chicken pot pie. Both were really outstanding! The corned beef was slow cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce and flavorful mashed potatoes. The chicken pot pie was also hearty with a great flavor and homemade crust. Now the honest part, because I think it helps to know before you walk in. We came in hunting for an old Dublin snug, the dark wood and low ceiling and worn brass kind of place, and D4 is not that. To be fair to them, they never claimed to be. The room is modeled after a Dublin townhome, bright and open, traditional details sitting alongside modern ones, with two fireplaces and a garden patio out back. It is handsome and it is comfortable, and it also reads more American pub than Irish local. If you were hoping to feel like you ducked in off a rainy side street in Ballsbridge, set your expectations accordingly. The room was the one letdown of our night. The kitchen made up the ground. The fish and chips are enormous, easily enough for two, beer battered Icelandic cod that arrived crisp and clean instead of heavy and slick, which is a lot harder to pull off than it looks. Add the shoestring fries with truffle aioli on the side. Worth knowing, and it earns them some credit on the authenticity question: this is a neighborhood-owned place that has been on Ohio Street since 2007, and co-owner Brendan McNeill is actually from Ballsbridge, right inside the Dublin 4 postcode the name comes from. Four stars. If you want atmosphere that feels imported from Ireland, keep looking. If you want a perfect pint of Guinness and a genuinely good plate of fish and chips in Streeterville, this will take good care of you.
