The key to perfecting a new skill is practice. What I love most about this academy, is they provide the students with live models to work on. I finished my course a few weeks ago, but I am still able to go to the academy, and work on live models, until I feel confident enough to work on my own. I gained a great understanding of the techniques throughout the training course, but with practice, I am building my professional confidence as well. Evon is a great mentor, and she patiently works alongside her students and new graduates, post-certification. I spoke with Evon and a man who said he was representing Evon on the phone. They asked me to come back for a touch up and see the problems at the corner of my lips. I refused because of a couple reasons: 1- I live far away from their business. If traffic is not busy, It will take at least 2 hours of driving, and another 2 hours for driving home. I can not interrupt work for something that I feel is not necessary.. 2- I already have had bad experiences (see photo), The dermatologist said that I have reaction to something from tattoo color, or numb liquid, or paper towels (Evon put paper towels in my mouth twice when she was doing tattoo work on my lips. I think that paper towels are not allowed to put into the mouths of clients.) I would not dare to let them touch my lips again. Until the coming of this present time, problems at the corner of my lips is spreading more and hurt me. I had text messages to tell them that if they want to see me, I would like to see them at my home town where I live, however, the did not reply. Please see copy of few paragraphs in a email I sent to her on November 6, 2015: "Due to the bad experience I went through from the tattoo done by you on September 17, 2015, I will not return to your salon for a touch up, even though the colors on my lips and my eyebrows are uneven. Three more photos are attached for your view. The first one was taken a week after tattoo done, and two other were taken a week ago. When my lips are completely treated, I will send you my medical and doctor bills . I request you reimburse me my treatment expenses, plus refund me an amount of $450.00 which I paid you for tattoo done on September 17, 2015." The male person who talked to me on behalf of Evon is rude person. My attorney and I have to wait until my lips were treated completely, then we will file a claim against Evon at the Orange County Superior Court. By law, we have two years from the date of injury to file a injury claim Good luck to all who want to have business with Evon. read more

I was a brow model for Brows by Evons and they took great care of me! They were very patient when I asked to change the mapping of my brows multiples times and Evon in general was very accommodating. The session took a little longer than planned but with doing your brows you want to have them done just right. They also made sure I was comfortable and asked me throughout the session if the microblading/shading felt okay pain-wise, which it did (the numbing cream helped). Admittedly I was a bit nervous finally committing to a microblading procedure, but I'm so glad I found Evons. My mother was a cosmetology student, so I always love to give students a chance to build their skills, despite most people not wanting an apprentice to do their hair/brows/etc. I had the pleasure of working with An who was so kind and personal. She gave great advice and explained the process every step of the way and constantly ensured I was doing okay throughout the microblading. The whole appointment took about 3 hours. An and Evon were perfectionists in the best sense of the word. Even though I'm currently on day 2 and have brows that rival Frida Khalo in boldness, I know they will fade into their more natural state after a few weeks of healing thanks to the great overview from An and a lot of previous google research. This is a process, so have faith! I'm excited to see what they will look like when healed and can't wait for the touchup session to complete the look!
