Service was alright. Scheduled an appointment to get all new tires for my corolla but when I came in I was told that the warehouse had not shipped them. I then rescheduled to the next day. I decided to call ahead to avoid wasting time and the person I spoke to confirmed that my tires were missed again. This turned my Thursday appointment into a Tuesday appointment. While the shipping mishap is not Tire Outlets fault, I would highly suggest to call ahead to confirm that your parts are in prior to driving. read more

I purchased new for my Subaru Ascent and they texted me first thing in the morning and said they would let me know when the tires arrived to their shop so my car wasn't just sitting and I could run errands. I recently purchased a car from a far-below average dealer who claimed they had already performed an alignment on it. I still found some drifting while driving on 101 to pickup my poodle from the fashion show. After months of putting it off, my left arm got tired of constantly correcting course. I called Tire Outlet and they said, "bring it in!". They found a bent front strut on the driver's side. Damn. Shout-out to Stevens Creek Chevrolet for doing an awful job prepping a car to be sold to the general public. Anyway, these guys were great. To the point and professional. They fix my issue, align it for me, and say I have warranty for 6 months if there are any further issues. Nice! It's noticeably better, but I'm still seeing some drift on 101 to pickup my poodle from the fashion show. I didn't want to look too needy; you gotta play it cool with someone you just met. I wait a month or two because it honestly it wasn't that bad, but I mustered up some courage to call them again. "Bring it in!". They take my car for an hour or two. I go eat a burrito. It's average. I come back and dude hands me my keys with a concerning face and goes, "Hey man, bad news. You're gonna need a new car". My heart drops. At this point I'm thinking about my poodle, how she's just gonna have to live at the fashion show from now on. Dude then flashes a smile and says, "Naw I'm kidding, it should be good to go. I just got new tires and this place provides the type of service big tire companies like Costco do not. Some of the highlights: - Got quoted a reasonable price...that yes was just as good as Costco which has been the market standard for value. - Ordered, received and got tires installed on the same day. Also the people here are super friendly and easy to work with. - Got my tires installed + alignment done quickly vs. camping out outside the big tire store hoping to be the first person in. - My car is low AF, and these guy took extra care getting it on the ramp by putting wood blocks to make sure it doesn't scrape. - Once on the ramp, we realized that I forgot my wheel lock key....yup I'm idiot....and Edwing drove me to my house to pick up the key. - They installed new tires and also pointed out that my rotors were messed up (and yes they are f'ed) to just let me know to be careful. As you can see this is the type of service I feel like people got in the 1970s in mom and pop shops. Special shout out to James, Edwing and Noel for taking care of me today and going above and beyond with their service. Extremely honest and friendly service! I came in for a tire repair (attached photo) and ended up ordering a new tire (~$300), which I paid for and would be delivered the next day. I came back, they found a nail in another tire, looked into everything, and found that only one tire needed a patch and the other wasn't leaking (ironically, the tire I knew had issues wasn't leaking after they removed the screw and checked tire pressure). Ultimately, the whole repair only cost $30 and they gave me a refund on the $300 tire I paid for and didn't end up needing. As a woman, I always get a bit nervous about going to the mechanic and being overcharged, but this place was super honest. To top it off, I was having a very stressful week and chatting with them in the waiting area definitely made me feel better! They support teachers and were very accommodating to my schedule. These guys were a lifesaver. I was in a pinch with a rapidly deflating tire at 450pm, I was nowhere near home and they closed at 5pm. I needed to get the problem sorted that day because I had a 2+ hour drive later that night. I called them telling them I was 10 minutes away and they said they could take me in. It was clear I needed to replace the tire and while they didn't have the same exact tire, they had the same size and suggested that I buy this cheaper tire for the short term and then go to America's tire where I have insurance to get the matching tire for my vehicle. They have a Master Technician who immediately diagnosed why my car could not pass the smog check and fixed the problem. My mechanic has the same diagnostic tools but after trying a couple fixes, he gave up and referred me to Tire Outlet. The guys upfront were very patience and knowledgeable and took the time to explain the problems and what they will do to fix them. I put out a few requests for estimates on Yelp, car running like it might be cat converter trouble. John from the shop called and was so nice! He told me he would make sure to find the issue and save me a lot of money since it didn't sound like cat to him. He told me he'd take great care of me, that they mostly do fleet work, that's the bulk of their business, and getting money from me was not important. I honestly felt that it was my lucky day; I was under the impression I'd been sent an angel to help me stretch. my meager educator's paycheck. I took it in, and they did an exhaust cleaning. $1160.05, and after driving a few miles, the car was running poorly again, but I had been told that sometimes these cleanings need 2 treatments and if so I wouldn't have to pay for that. I went back and this time, they did the 2nd treatment and they discovered I need ignition coils, and that this would be the proper fix. $1077.50. A day later, the car was the same. I go back, and now they discover that I had an incompatible mass air flow sensor and they replaced that and said that I'd be all set now, that they had driven it and it was running great. (I was skeptical because the car was on-again, off-again). This time I got out of there for a measly $129.07. I needed to sell that car, I'd been Lyfting to work and needed a car I could trust. I went back to ask them to turn off the engine light so I could sell it while it was running well, because I felt it wouldn't last. That service was complimentary, and as always they were very nice. So after having paid Tire Outlet a total of $2366.62 (more than double the estimate I had gotten elsewhere for the cat), I took it to a dealership to set up a trade in. When they started up my car, it was suddenly back to the rough idle and crappy performance, same as when I started. The dealership then knocked 2K off their initial offer. Now I was down 4366.22, which was about what my trade in had blue-booked at. And the car never did get fixed. But I do like nice people, and everyone at Tire Outlet was super friendly, I felt like I they were becoming my new family after all the visits, and those 2 stars up there are for their welcoming vibe. The other 3? Each blank spot is for each of the three trips to their cash register. Guess I'll never know whether or not it was the catalytic converter. read more

I had a rough day and was in a rush to get to the hospital when I noticed my front tire was flat. I drove to two gas stations and their machines were out of order. So I stopped at a shop and he said he didn't have a working air compressor which I find hard to believe. I was stressed and flustered, I then drove by Tire outlet and decided to take my chances seeing a man standing outside. That's when I met Kevin. I came across Tire Outlet via Yelp and am so glad John and his team helped me shop for my new tires! Shopping around for new tires is kind of a big investment and a headache to shop for the right price, but John and his staff here were more than pleasant to do business with. Before I used to purchase tires from America's Tires and always leaned on buying cheap branded ones but this time I wanted to pay for higher tiered tires. Sadly I don't know much about tires and was really paranoid someone may take advantage of this, so I was very surprised when John stuck to his word when he promised my a good deal on 4 brand new tires days before I came in. I thought, "Maybe he's going to pull a fast one and switch his price around," but he did not! I was so happy and relieved. I did have to wait awhile (45 min) for the tires to be installed, but I prepared for this and brought my laptop in to do some work. Sadly there are only a few chairs in the lobby so no real table to do work on, so I just had it in my lap.
