I ordered two bagels and received two sandwiches instead. Getting the entire order wrong is unacceptable, especially when I paid for specific items. To make matters worse, the sandwiches I received were not even up to my standards, so it wasn't like the substitution was a pleasant surprise. The iced coffee was also disappointing and let alone the coffee as well and is not worth what I paid for. Overall the food quality and order accuracy were both poor. I was really craving bagels, and stopped in for sandwiches for my girlfriend and I. My western sandwich was delicious -- next time, I'll have to ask for cream cheese on it, too. My girlfriend's bacon egg and cheese was great too - you can't go wrong with such a classic. I would definitely try other bagels and sandwiches in the future. While we were very impressed by the sandwiches, that's about where it ended. The two employees in the store did not seem to want to serve or make my food, despite me being the only customer in the store. It was a little disappointing. Also, and this is no fault of Bruegger's, purely just because of the location - it is a little difficult to find parking, so be mindful of that. As someone who grew up in Massachusetts, I've been a super big fan of Bruegger's my entire life. It was my first time trying this location with my girlfriend, we got bagels to go for a Sunday breakfast. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a cheese bagel which was super tasty and my girlfriend got the Western veggie sandwich which was absolutely delicious! I would definitely add a cream cheese spread to the sandwich, that would accelerate it to the max level. The only reason they loose a star is because there is no accessible parking nearby - the only parking nearby is for Winsor school, or for hospitals in the area which has a quite expensive hourly rate. Although I like Brueggers Bagels quite a bit, they are definitely getting smaller and smaller. The last batch I got a couple of weeks ago are probably about half the size of bagels 10 years ago. They should really cut this out. I'd rather pay a little bit more and have a normal size bagel than these little mini or skinny bagels. It's very annoying. read more

I've been going to Bruegger's for 20+ years, always grabbing a bagel after getting off the T and walking to Children's. Bruegger's has a huge selection of freshly-made Bagels. The bagels are kettle-boiled. They have every bagel, from sweet to savory. The cream cheese selection is equally impressive. The cream cheese is made-in-Vermont. They have every variety and flavor, from sweet to savory. My personal favorite is the Onion and Chive cream cheese. I'm weird, I'll get it on a Blueberry or Chocolate chip bagel. If you are hungry for more than just a bagel, you MUST check out their Signature Breakfast Sandwiches. My personal favorite and go-to is the "Farmhouse" breakfast sandwich. It is loaded with serious flavor. Two fresh eggs, ham, cheddar cheese, & bacon are served on a Toasted Cheesy Hash Brown bagel with country-pepper cream cheese. Bursting with flavor and I'm usually full the rest of the day! If you're a lunch person, they do have a solid selection of sandwiches served on a bagel. The dessert menu could certainly use a few more options to choose from! If you're a fan of coffee and iced coffees, they have you covered. Personally, I'm not a huge coffee person. I will say Bruegger's has changed, and not in a good way. The staff are incredibly rude and short. This is commonplace at all their locations. They act inconvenienced that a customer came into the store. These days, I just have it delivered to avoid being treated with an attitude. I also have noticed the bagels have become smaller in size. Consistency is also an issue, many times the bagels are over cooked or hard. Luckily, that wasn't the case today! The order was made correctly and delivered fresh & hot! If you're looking for a solid breakfast sandwich on a bagel, Bruegger's has you covered! They could improve by not shrinking the size of the bagels. If you feel like sitting down, they have two areas for seating, although I noticed that one of the areas gets boarded off sometimes. Oddly the smaller tables are pushed so close together that it's almost impossible to squeeze in. Although there's a lot of seating available, it doesn't seem like the tables are cleaned very often. The carpet is also covered with crumbs. I got a toasted bagel with cream cheese and a small coffee for about $5. They're pretty generous with the cream cheese so you get a nice thick layer. They have a huge variety of bagels and cream cheese! Their smoked salmon cream cheese tasted kind of odd to me (didn't taste very fresh and the smoked salmon to cream cheese ratio was really low), but their other savory spreads which I've tried before were good. I went for a sesame bagel with light herb garlic. The bagel itself is smaller than your average bagel. As a person who normally only eats half a bagel at a time, I was able to down the whole thing in one go. There was not a lot of cream cheese in it, which is exactly how I like it. Absolutely horrible experience at this location! We have traveled all over the U.S, eating at Bruegger's Bagels. This was our first time in Boston, from Hawaii. Came in to order two breakfast sandwiches, one of the guys began to make my order. The Haitian woman (pictured in photos) came over, and said she's making my order. She began to put lunch meat on my sandwich, saying this is what I asked for. I told her I asked for "Turkey Sausage" not "Turkey" lunch meat. The gentleman who was originally helping me, knew I wanted "Turkey Sausage" as was making the correct order. The woman pictured decides to get an attitude once I corrected her on the sandwich I asked for saying "I just don't know what I want". She has a strong accent, and doesn't not speak proper English, therefore she did not understand what I asked for. She then began digging in the trash, then trying to come make my sandwich with the same gloves. I proceeded to grab the other gentleman who was originally helping me to make my order, she was arguing with him saying she's making my order. I told her I don't want her to make my food, so the other guy made my order after having to go back and forth with her for 20 minutes. While my order is being made this woman is throwing eggs on the counter, trying to hand him eggs from the back instead of the ones others are being served, making comments under her breath, displaying unnecessary, unprofessional, and utterly childish behavior all over a bagel sandwich. What should have been a 5-10 min bagel run, turned in to a 30 min argument with this Haitian woman who does not speak proper English. If she can not understand what customers are ordering, then she should not have a job. I asked for the manager, and was told he was out on a delivery run. This location is unprofessional, and zero management was present. This woman was rude, arguing with me for over 20 min, and bullying the other employees. Despite this is still purchased my 2 sandwiches, along with two drinks totaling over $26. Not to mention my sandwiches were dry, cold, flavorless, and ultimately disgusting. I would like to be contacted by management regarding my issue at this location. I should be able to order a breakfast sandwich, with out going though this unpleasant experience. I tried to seek out the healthiest bagel and there was one 12-grain left, so I went for it, added light plain cream cheese, and opted not to toast it. The bagel was kind of hard (possibly because it was so hearty, possibly because it was the end of the day), but had a satisfying taste. The light plain cream cheese was every bit as good as regular (so much so that I hope she didn't actually out regular)! I kind of wish they had little cups of cream cheese they could have given me because I was hoping to save it for later, but I didn't think to ask in time, so I'm not sure if they are available. After going around exploring some of Boston for the day, my bf and I were freezing cold and ready to get something warm to eat before our flight back to California. This was conveniently located on the same street where we were staying so we went inside. We ordered one of their breakfast bagels with eggs, bacon, cheddar, and spinach to share. The cashier was a very sweet, tall African American man. I wish I got his name but he was the first nice person we met that day. I find it conveniently placed in Longwood area where the working professionals can get their morning fresh breakfast & coffee and it's also a great afternoon snack place for college students nearby such as myself. I wish that their hours were extended because sometimes I don't get out of class until after 3pm. Overall, it's a great selection of bagels and sandwiches but it's mediocre. The manager is a crabby older lady who speaks to loudly and you can hear her talking about the other coworrkers or customers. I have an office in this building so I frequent the place. The bagels are always good/fresh. The soup is phenomenal. The prices are pretty reasonable for some things (bagels, salads, etc) but is a tad high for others (soup, juices, etc). The staff is awesome, GREAT people - they are always polite and efficient. Glanced over at the different choices and set my eyes on the sesame bagels because the sesame seeds were so plentiful on BOTH SIDES of the bagel!! what a treat!! Just a quick update from my last review...I went here for lunch today and got the "Herby Turkey" sandwich (cute and clever name..I agree) and I asked for it on a skinny bagel as they advertise. Woot woot! Lunch under 500 calories while eating out! yay! Or so I thought...The woman asked me which kind of bagel I wanted and I was actually caught off guard because I assumed they only made one or two types of "skinny bagels". OH, for those of you who don't know what that is...it's a bagel but about half the thickness. Still get your carb craving out of the way without the extra calories! Anyway...I chose an everything bagel, probably not the healthiest but don't judge, and I watched her take a normal everything bagel. I'm glad I bit my tongue and didn't announce "I SAID SKINNY!!! LIKE I WANT TO BE!" and instead watched what happened next. She cut the bagel, like anyone would to make a sandwich. THEN she cut it again. She basically shaved the middle 1/2 inch out of the middle of my bagel. Apparently, the "skinny bagel" is just a normal bagel with less product. Same price. Now the price didn't bother me, I know..it's extra work to cut it twice. But what really got my goat was watching her take this perfectly goof 1/2" of the middle of the bagel and just toss it! That's such a waste!! I don't understand how they don't BAKE these "skinny bagels" they advertise everywhere. Wouldn't it save dough, effort, and energy to simply make them smaller from the get go??
