I wasn't expecting much, and only stopped in because Mediterra wasn't open yet at 6 am. They were open at 6 on the dot, and the service was so fast that I had no trouble making it to morning Mass. The manager is a cheerful and friendly lady. I wasn't sure if I would like the coffee (I'm very picky; most local shops don't make the cut), and she let me sample an ounce or two. The dark roast was perfect, with no trace of sourness. I had the East Coast Pastrami (which she recommended). It was delicious! The bagel couldn't have been fresher, with the perfect crunch from the everything seasoning. Creamy cheese (not cheap American cheese food, like McDonald's) topped tender, perfectly seasoned pastrami and a non-rubbery egg. Stopped to get a dozen bagels after a Dr's appt. 8 were okay. 4 were cinnamon sugar, looked and tasted like a plain bagel that had the top quickly dipped in sugar with a sprinkle of cinnamon in it. The store has the ambiance of a bus station and the customer service of a store in old Soviet Russia. One day I walked in and the entire floor was wet from mopping and there were no "careful, wet" signs. The employees seem depressed and one was outright hostile. I'd be depressed, too, if I had to work in such a hole in the wall. Did I mention the bagels sometimes seem to be a day old and can vary in size from one day to the next. Of course they want a tip when paying. I get home, bagel order wrong. There are two poppyseed bagels which I did not order. Asked friend to bring bagel. Friend brought bagel. Sesame bagel is FULL of sesame seeds. Cream cheese on it was adequate, but I didn't question the price. Bagel is a little on the soft side (I asked for not toasted, so I got exactly what I wanted). Not the hugest bagel but a good size overall. They both go there regularly so that is enough of a data point for me to leave a review and say it's a solid spot for bagels, but I can't comment on things that aren't just bagels (I see some reviews in here on lunch dishes for example). read more

This is a Bruegger's, so I guess most will think their bagels are ok if not exceptional. Still, I think they're different from most chains I patronize. Usually, you get more or less the same thing. Not here. I pass four Bruegger's on my regular circuit and this is the only one I would recommend. One other is OK if you're walking by but it's in the airport and you have to pay to park, so that one is purely only for special circumstances. One, in Mt. Lebanon ( a nice suburb) may be closed. I'm not sure, but the parking lot looked bombed out the last time I tried to pull in there. A real eyesore. The one in Moon township has an owner/manager who does not want customers, only subjects. Kind of like the soup Nazi but with bagels. Get it his way or get out. Compared to the others, this one is a dream. Nice, helpful people selling fresh, tasty products efficiently. The small restaurant section has been closed since Covid, but otherwise, it's the best Bruegger's has to offer. read more

I am new to the area and I have never tried this before. I am so glad I did! The food was phenomenal! Everything is customizable and they offer a build your own option as well. The cream cheese tasted homemade and fresh. It complimented the sandwiches but also oddly stood on its own profile. The texture was lovely and light. The consistency was lovely it was both thick and light at the same time. The sandwich had a compelling complex flavor profile. I am a huge fan of sweet and savory done right and the Vermonter is how it's done boys! Everybody take notes! My husband got the farmhouse and that was equally rewarding l! The portions are large and the pricing is generous. The hash browns were delightful and 100% a welcomed variant on an iconic breakfast potato and I am here for it! I will definitely be back! I had an absolutely horrible experience here. So bad that I actually sent an email to corporate to inform them. Never heard back and wrote them AGAIN. Still never heard from them. I went here on 3/30/2022. Long story short, I walked in, there were four employees. One was a manager with his papers and clip boards all spread out across the bagel making cutting board....gross. I stood there for no exaggeration, probably a good 7-8 minutes while all the employees spoke to each other and not ONE of them even said hello to me. I honestly thought it was a joke. Like how can not one of 4 employees not waiting on anyone, not even acknowledge me? Finally I was like "hello?" ...and they all looked at me, but STILL didn't say can I help you?? It was UNREAL. I always come in to my favorite two kinds of bagels stocked on the wall (sesame or cinnamon raisin, basic I know) They stay ready, even in a rush, the manager runs it like she's in the marines! I'm in and out in less than 5 minutes. It can be hard to succeed with nearly 5 other pastry and coffee shops on the same street but they stay ready. Coffee always brewed fresh and diverse staff compared to other shops I see in this area (iykyk). They always have soup, fresh coffee, fresh iced tea (my fav), and of course bagels. read more

Used to be my favorite spot for a quick lunch during the work week - quality has gone down since recent staff changes. Often skimping on meat for their signature sandwiches and crew is usually preoccupied in conversations or simply leaning on the bar and texting on their personal cell phones. Staff have always been friendly enough, but my order has never been right on every visit. I'm a recent transplant to Sewickley, so I have been looking for a regular spot to get something quick for bfast before work. I used to love this business. Despite all restrictions being lifted, they continue to have their dining room closed. It's 90 degrees today, and they want you to eat outside or in your car. When I asked when they would have seating again, the reply was "I hope never". The workers said it was less work for them in regards to cleaning. They also only had 3 types of bagels available. Another issues is they have two large tables pushed against the register, so you have to really lean over to pay. Workers came across as the customers should be happy that the employees are working at all, verging on rudeness. The employees hair looked and clothing looked dirty, like they have worn the same outfit for a week. So the company feels it is too dangerous to open seating for customers, but is fine with poor hygiene. read more

This was my first time at a Bruegger's Bagels shop and I thought it was a good experience. Only giving it 4 stars because I am used to the amazing bagels of Bagel Jay's here in my hometown but Bruegger's Bagels is the next best thing in my opinion! You enter the store and receive no greeting. Employees look miserable. You spend over $7 for a breakfast sandwich (no coffee). You pay the clerk, give a good tip, You say, "thank you", they don't. You go home open the sandwich and find they have given you a basic bagel. You return to the store, no apology and no thank you.
