Horrible place, do not visit on weekends. I've tried really hard to give this place extra chances but the lines are always long, staff don't care, and they are always out of popular bagels. You would think after running out of the same bagels every single weekend you would be prepare for the rush and make more but no they don't. You wait in line for 20 minutes only to find out they are out of everything and they never have a time estimate of when more will be ready. The staff are nice enough but super slow. I get it, it's busy but you're spreading cream cheese on bagels not cooking a meal it really shouldn't take this long. Ordered a BLT the last time I went and left. The employee had no idea what that stood for. Won't be back here again. read more

Bruegers Bagels is a franchise so you know what to expect from store to store. The bagels and coffee are good but not great, but when it's the only bagel place around you take what you can get. The problem with the Bruegers Bagel in Trumbull is the slowest, most frustrating, rude establishment I have ever been in. On more than a few occasions I have waited twenty to thirty minutes for a bagel. I have seen a worker take an order for a toasted bagel and wait by the toaster while there are twenty people in line. Last week there were 15 people in line and the manager asks, "Is there anyone just getting bagels?" I raised my hand and said I was. I started to say "can I have a dozen everything bagels..." And the manager says "Sir, there are five people in front of you!" I replied, "you just asked if anyone wants just bagels." She asks everyone in line if they want just bagels and they all say no. Then she looks at me and says, "fine, what to you want?" What I want is an alternative to Bruegers but I probably won't get that. read more

I live right up the street from this brueggers and stop here frequently. It's always just ok. Yesterday, it was awful! I went in around 11:30. The one worker was helping another customer and I was the only other customer waiting. When it was my turn I started my order. It was clear she wasn't listening to me because she was distracted as someone else walked in. She finished my order and another worker came from the back to make my coffee and check me out. For the third time, they only had flavored iced coffee available (which was annoying, but not the reason for the one star review). This person barely even acknowledged me and started talking to the other worker (who was by then, helping another customer)..."I hate this job. I especially hate working with customers. I miss working at Amazon where I didn't have to see customers". By the way, When I finally got to the beach and opened up my bagel, it was wrong. Needless to say, I will not be going back. Waited a long time for a female employee to finally come out of the bathroom after she pissed everywhere and didn't replenish the toilet paper. Knowing full well people were waiting outside for her to come out, she just walked out and went right back to work behind the counter. Sooooo gross. Delicious bagel & coffee. I have always found the staff very nice & especially during the stress of the vivid pandemic it was so nice to experience kindness. When my granddaughter was little it was so cool for her to see how bagels were made. Now that she is older the delicious varieties of bagels are something that we enjoy having with my 90 year old mom. For us it is a very special inter generational treat. I love Bruegger's bagels. They're cooked fresh on the premises daily, and I love getting them while they're hot. On a recent visit, my boyfriend wanted to try their pumpkin bagel and they gave us a fresh bagel to sample. It was delicious and he ended up ordering one. My favorite is the olive oil rosemary bagel. My only complaint is pricing. I pay a different price, depending on who is at the register. My toasted bagel with butter and bacon can range from $2-$5. It's kind of ridiculous. read more

I just left this Bruegger's location and couldn't wait to write a well deserved positive review! I work in marketing and do a lot of breakfasts and lunches for clients.. if only every food place was as helpful and efficient as this location! Scott, the manager, was so helpful. You could tell he actually likes to help his customers. When he asked what i wanted to order, and I said "whatever you think, it's for 12 people", he immediately said "I got you". I left with an assortment of breakfast sandwiches and bagels in boxes to make for a great presentation. So thank you to Scott! the bagels are absolutely phenomenal. every time I come in, they are the best bagels you could buy. however, on Saturday and Sunday mornings they typically have younger staff working, and I've noticed they do a lot more joking around with eachother than paying attention to my order. i love this place. i would typically stop by this place before my yoga class. i have only tried their bagel sandwiches on saturday mornings. there would always be a line but the service was efficient to make the line move along. the bagels come in much vareity and are soft and chewy without feeling soggy. the shiracha sandwich was my favorite. they have a clear window displaying the bagel making process which is cool. the bagels are great on their own. no need to toast. go for the ones that are always getting replenished e.g., plain, everything, poppy seed read more

It's really a disappointment when you talk to your grandkids all weekend about how we can "go get green bagels" after soccer on Sunday morning. We get there at 11:45 am on St Patrick's Day, stand in line in front of the sign at the service counter that says "Green Bagels... Limited Time Only ...March 15-17" get to the front and they're all out... until further notice. The girl at the register didn't know and didn't care... "yeah..they sold out. I've bought breakfast here a few times. Overall, my egg wraps have been very good. Recently, I ordered lunch from here. I got the Trio - soup, salad and a drink. The salad and the soup were very good. However, they only filled the soup a little bit past half so that was disappointing. They also seem to be understaffed with one person making wraps and a line of about 6-7 people waiting for various sandwiches that need to be constructed, which takes time. I will say they have great tasting soup that appears to be homemade - however, sometimes they forget to give you the bagel bites that should accompany a large soup. I think overall they offer quality food that doesn't feel like fast food. read more

Stopped to pick up bagels for a company event. SIgn posted that "TODAY" buy a dozen, pay for half dozen. Thrilled at the good future, I ordered 3 dozen. On my way to check out asked how much the Cream Cheese would be. Cashier said two come with each dozen of bagels. Thought I hit the lotto!! Unfortunately, when I got to the register I was told the sign that was posted was for Yesterday not "TODAY" as listed. And the cream cheese is only included when you buy the BUNDLE which is $5.00 more for each dozen of bagels. Manager would not even speak with me -- cashier said they made a mistake with the sign -- should have come down yesterday. When I insisted that they honor the Promotion since the sign definitely indicated "TODAY" -- they stood by the "we forgot to remove the sign." Saddest part, if I had not been waiting in line for 10 minutes since only 1 person was serving customers, I would not have even noticed the SIGN. If they don't improve the quality of the service, they will not make it - regardless of how good the bagels are. read more

I am hooked on Bruegger's Bagels in Trumbull. The manager, Farooq is wonderful! He has made me a dozen Asiago/Parmesan cheese bagels on request, and has fulfilled it. Bruegger's in Trumbull is lucky to have him!! I have turned several of my friend's on to their bagels, and yes, you pay more for them, but you get what you pay for two fold!! read more

The manager in the store has given me a hard time on more than one occasion. I have been a customer here for almost 2 years, I go in frequently sometimes twice a day. I've had two bottomless memberships. Today I decided to get a bagel, upon paying the manager flips over my debit card, sees a note to request ID and insists that I go back to my car for my drivers license. Normally I would be appreciative of this however, I'm actually insulted that she doesn't know my name by now. I'm 6 months pregnant, come to the store all the time and she thinks I'm going to pay for a $2 bagel with a stolen card? Please, be a little more human, lady. read more

This place is a nightmare. Slowest and most incompetent service I have ever experienced. It took two employees to make two sandwiches for one customer, which I swear, if they moved any slower they would've grown moss on their backs. I was the third person in line and it took 20 minutes just to place my order (which consisted of soup...just a soup), they did not have the variety posted, so I had to ask, no one knew what the choices were. I finally got to order a cup of the tomato soup, and the guy "helping" me didn't know which size the cup was...out of the two sizes they offer. Don't worry, it gets better, it took him a solid minute to fill the cup and hand it to me, I had it in my hand for no less than 1 second and realized the soup is ice cold. Who dishes out a soup and doesn't realize its cold!? I guess the lack of steam isn't enough of a hint. And I might add that this is at 12:45, the soup warmer wasn't even turned on!
