I've been to this Great White location a few times now -- twice for brunch on Sundays and once for dinner last week. Getting a table has generally been easy. Early after they opened they once didn't have a regular table ready, but they do have counter seating by the pizza station. Worth asking about if you're hungry. A few things stand out. The banana bread is excellent -- consistently hot and better than most. The smoked salmon pizza is another strong brunch item: unique, good value, and easy to share. At dinner, the wood-fired roast chicken was the clear highlight. It's well-seasoned, the skin is properly crisp, the inside is cooked right, and they already cut it up for you. It feels more like a dinner dish, and it's good enough that I'd specifically come back for it. Most of the rest of the menu is solid and reliable. The one miss for me was the fish tacos (also ordered at dinner). The fish looked well-cooked, but there wasn't much flavor, and the spicy salsa barely registered. Drinks are a mixed bag. Non-alcoholic options like coffee or an Arnold Palmer feel overpriced for the size. Alcoholic drinks, on the other hand, are priced where you'd expect them to be for a place like this. The space is one of the better parts of the experience -- open, bright, and somehow manages to feel a little like vacation even on Ventura Place. Service has been consistently good. Special nod to Steven, who helped my girlfriend swap a wine she didn't like for something better. Overall it's a clear four-star spot. I like the fact that reservations are not needed for lunch. Amber created a beautiful gathering for my family. Her recommendations were spot on. When we returned our mini dirty martinis, she agreed they were too salty and offered us other options, which we liked. Fine dining experience service, thanks to an experienced and seasoned server. We ordered the truffle mushroom pizza for our appetizer. We loved the thin-crust bread, delicious cheese, and generous mushroom and basil toppings. The truffle did not stand out as much as we anticipated. Collectively, hands down, we loved our Tremendous Hamburgers. Juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Generous fries are served, so don't add an extra order of fries. The Steak and fries were also good, especially with the entrecote sauce. The chicken kabob appears to be the most popular menu item; it was tender and delicious, but the portion of bread was twice the amount of chicken served. The white sauce served with this dish was very good, especially with our sweet potato fries from our hamburger option. The decor, menu and service is all basic L.A. ingredients to open a restaurant. None of it's bad, but it's all been done other places around town, and it's the same stuff, different restaurant name. It's located on a busy street in Studio City with too many other popular restaurants already, and parking is incredibly challenging. One thing I do appreciate at Great White is table service. Loads of L.A. restaurants are a fast, casual concept and you have to order at the counter, take a number to a-table-of-your-choosing, and wait for your food to be dropped off--in which you never see a staff member again. Service has gone out the window. Great White is going to be a go-to for the girls who brunch. Parents in from out-of-town to visit their adult children and/or grandchildren. They will be brought to Great White because there's enough room for the number of people, and it gives an upscale, SoCal vibe. read more

It was a little different than usual pizza, very light undercarriage and a thin layer of cheese. Two people could've eaten one or shared it as an appetizer. I took half home. My companion had the salad with salmon. She was very happy with her choice which was recommended by our server. It was a little noisy, but what do you expect at lunchtime in a popular restaurant? I've been to their other locations before, so I was excited when this one opened since it's much closer to me. I finally got to try it, and it was just as good as I expected. A huge splash in Studio City on the same street where they hold the weekly Farmer's Market every Sunday. The interior reminded me of a stone cafe you might find in Italy or Greece. Met a friend here for brunch around opening time, right before it got super crowded. We both ordered a Great White Breakie which has folded eggs, bacon, avocado, goat cheese, roasted tomato, arugula, sourdough. It was simple but SO delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and the eggs were so fluffy. I also had a yuzu lemonade - it was carbonated and not very sweet, pretty good, too. Customer service was good, servers were attentive. Thankfully they moved us to another area of the bar in a corner. But yeah. Avoid that back bar in the summer! Service 3/5 It's a lot of aspiring influencers... I mean waiters hustling to serve fast. They were nice but had no time to be personable. We originally got the wrong order sent to us. But quickly fixed it. Food came out in about 10-15 min. Food 2/5 Here's where I take real issue. This place would be a fine brunch/lunch spot if the food was either top notch for the price... or much cheaper. I walked away paying 90 bucks for my partner to have a super mid breakfast sandwich (no sides). I had fish tacos that were more like a a lettuce wrap. They tasted ok. But it was maybe 2oz of actual fish and some lettuce, dill, and cilantro. A hot sauce they claimed was really hot that wasn't hot at all. We had a tuna tartar app that was tasty but really small. And two ice teas (8 bucks each!) I know things are expensive these days but I continually think to myself - if I'm going to pay this price, which I am fortunate to have the means to do - then I want something exceptional. It doesn't have to be big in quantity. Just something unique that doesn't feel like a rip off. Something can't make at home for 1/8 the price (that will actually taste better and be healthier) So yeah, this place is a no for me dog. Great White just opened in Studio City, and we stopped by for lunch on a sunny Friday. We've been to the Larchmont location and loved it and this one feels very similar. The space has a few layout differences, but overall it's the same experience, except this one is in the Valley. One notable difference is no outdoor seating. The menu is basically identical and the food comes out fast. And it's consistent, too. I ordered my usual breakfast burrito to compare and it put the usual smile on my face. The chipotle aioli that comes with it is still the star. My wife got the poke bowl, which she enjoyed eating and I enjoyed looking at. The biggest difference is the crowd. Larchmont leans heavy on tourists and Instagram types, while Studio City feels more local with families and industry folks. It's definitely on the pricier, bougie side. But you still walk away feeling like you had a solid, cool lunch. We even spotted an actress from "Scandal" as a bonus. Also worth mentioning, they allow dogs inside. We visited on a Sunday afternoon in March 2026 and had to park a little farther away than expected. Add to that the one-hour wait, and naturally our expectations climbed sky-high before even walking through the door. The restaurant itself was very clean, and the service was surprisingly quick considering how busy it was. Tables and floors were well maintained. The only small detail I noticed was a few bread crumbs or tiny food particles on the couch/chairs. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. We didn't visit the restrooms, but judging by the overall condition of the restaurant, I wouldn't expect anything less than sparkling clean. Now to the best part -- the food. Everything arrived beautifully presented, almost too pretty to disturb. For drinks, we kept it simple: a basic alcoholic cocktail and a cappuccino. The coffee was excellent -- rich, smooth, and served in a generous cup. For our main courses we ordered the Salmon Yellow Curry and the Bolognese. Both dishes were wonderful, but if I had to choose, the salmon would win my vote. It carried just the right amount of spice and depth of flavor that made every bite interesting. Dessert was a small adventure of its own. We tried the Pavlova and the chocolate mousse. The Pavlova leaned a little too sweet for our taste, but the mousse was fantastic -- silky, balanced, and sprinkled with tiny crunchy pieces (which I assume were hazelnuts) that added a lovely texture. As for the price, it felt fair for the location, quality, and overall experience. Our total came to $120 plus tip (March 2026). Will I go back? Absolutely. Just tried the new Great White in Studio City and it's honestly such a great addition to the area. The space itself is beautiful, super bright, clean, and aesthetically done. It has that classic Great White vibe that makes you want to stay for a while. The food was amazing. I was really excited to try this place for my girlfriend's birthday. We'd seen it all over social media, and since we were in the area, we decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the atmosphere is definitely Instagram-worthy. Unfortunately, that's where the positives started to end. My girlfriend ordered the kebab, but it was mostly fat with very little meat. She only managed to eat one piece along with the side salad, which was actually pretty good. I ordered the coconut salmon curry, and I enjoyed it. The biggest issue, however, was the flies. We were seated near the bar and food service area, and there was an overwhelming number of flies throughout the restaurant. It wasn't just a minor annoyance, they were landing on food that was being served. At one point, we watched multiple plates come out of the kitchen with multiple flies landing directly on them. It was honestly disgusting and completely ruined our appetite. Flies are unsanitary and can carry bacteria, so seeing this in a restaurant is unacceptable. To make matters worse, while my girlfriend was in the restroom, I quietly let our waitress know it was her birthday. She told me they would bring out a surprise dessert. After we finished eating, we waited another 15 minutes, but no one ever came to our table. Eventually, I flagged down another server just to ask for the check. That's when our waitress finally came over and asked, "Do you still want the surprise?" A surprise isn't much of a surprise when you announce it to the birthday person. It completely defeated the purpose. When I gave her a confused look, she seemed very annoyed, which only made the interaction more awkward. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The food was hit or miss, the service lacked attention to detail, and the fly problem was beyond unacceptable. For a restaurant that charges premium prices and has such a strong reputation online, I expected much better. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. Management seriously needs to address the sanitation issues and provide better staff training. This restaurant has officially earned a spot on my "do not go" list. 5 Stars for Food + Service Deducted a star for NOISE We had a wonderful dinner at Great White last night and left genuinely impressed. Our server Charlie was an absolute standout -- warm, knowledgeable, and full of great recommendations. He's exactly the kind of server who elevates the whole experience. Bonus: We found street parking which is always great! We started with the hamachi ceviche, made with avocado and a beautiful supporting cast of flavors. It was fresh, bright, and absolutely delicious. For my main, I had the fish tacos -- they come wrapped in lettuce instead of tortillas, which made for a surprisingly light and healthy dish that didn't sacrifice anything in the flavor department. Large portion - totally filling and yummy. Layer after layer of really well-thought-out flavor. These two dishes together make for one of the most satisfying and healthy meals I've had in a long time. My dining companions had the chicken wings, which they raved about -- not your typical wings, perfectly seasoned in a way that was unique and delicious. They also ordered two pizzas: a pepperoni and a mushroom truffle. Both were outstanding - cooked in a special wood burning oven. The mushroom truffle pizza in particular struck the ideal balance -- enough truffle to know it's there, but not so much that it overwhelms. A hard thing to get right, and they nailed it. Really delicious. Then came dessert: the sourdough bread pudding. I don't say this lightly -- it was unlike anything I've ever tasted. Honestly, that dessert alone was worth the trip! A couple of other thoughts that I think could make this place even better: the music during dinner service is QUITE LOUD and makes conversation a bit of a challenge. IT'S OBTRUSIVE. It's the one thing that keeps this from being a five-star experience. When we made the reservation on Resy we put in the NOTES section "quietest table available" and they sat us near the bar when we arrived which was truly not going to work. We requested to move and they obliged nicely. We were seated up front near the front windows which were open which lowered the overwhelming volume of the music a bit -- HIGHLY SUGGEST you request a table up front with the windows open so you aren't subjected to the very loud music in there. Some people like to hear each other converse during a meal. Lastly, I thought the decor of of the restaurant was really nice -- sort of white with straw light fixtures. Felt like being on a tropical vacation. Just lower the music to something WAY MORE TOLERABLE and they've got a winner of a restaurant here. read more

A new spot in Studio City. I have been to Great White in Larchmont Village a few times and loved it. The food is amazing so is the ambiance. This location is even prettier and more spacious. Customer service was friendly and welcoming. I ordered a coconut cold brew and let me tell you ... I didn't want it to finish. It was the best cold brew coffee I ever had and I have had many many cold brew coffees.... The dishes we ordered were good. The chicken wings we shared was ok, we didn't like the texture of it but the breakfast burrito made up for it. It's a must have when dining here. It's so good. I ordered the tuna salad which was delicious as well. My sister enjoyed her poke bowl. The yuzu lemonade my mom got was very refreshing. She loved it. I did have a sip of course. lol the benefit of eating out with family. Customer service was great like I mentioned earlier and the ambiance very nice. A bit too loud but nice. Now the main problem is parking !!!! It's a nightmare to find a spot on this street or nearby streets. Unless you want to pay $14 for valet then you are good....
