Went to Brunch Cafe to celebrate 3 different birthdays for the month of August. It's a tradition to celebrate all 3 at the same time. When we walked in it was really packed but since we had reservations, we were seated immediately. 16 of us! The server was great and was very friendly. I ordered a veggie omelette, wrapped in golden hash-browns, which cost a little extra to do but I misunderstood that if I picked this option, I would not get a side of hash-browns. The server said confirmed but a few minutes later, she brought out a side which was nice. The omelette was cooked nicely and was not overcooked. It was filled with various veggies and was cheesy. I'd order again but skip the hash-browns wrap. The place was filled with various families and was a great atmosphere. Families enjoying food and conversation. Including ours!!! Great times and a highly recommended place to eat breakfast.

Recently stopped by on the weekend and it was a delicious brunch. The wait was not long even for looking abit busy. I got the Ayy Caramba Skillet and it was well cooked with a side of chocolate chip pancakes that were very filling. Very well lit inside with a juice bar with alot of fruit smoothies available. Will be back for brunch!

Great food, perfect service & really nice cheery spot! We've stopped at their other locations ... always pleased & thought we'd try this one plus we love they've given the place new paint & lightened the inside ... great new look! We don't know how they are so speedy with service & alway get the orders PERFECT but they sure do ... severs are great & we love you can have breakfast or lunch. We'll be back ... that's for sure! PS ... love how they indicate gluten free options on their menu so no guessing

Why was my strawberry brown? I havent seen that before

One of the stranger waffles ive eaten. Ill admit i was taken in by the photo on the google maps page of a waffle with strawberries and a drizzle of chocolate. I quite like a dessert type waffle for brunch. Unfortunately it was not listed on the menu when i got there. I decided to try the "stuffed waffle", which i didnt really know anything about but, i like strawberries and bananas and whipped cream so it must be alright, right? The stuffed waffle is cut in half with fruit and "strawberry cream" in the middle. For some reason, even though this is called a stuffed waffle, i honestly didnt expect it to be cut like that. Maybe cut in half and stacked like a sandwich, but not through the middle. I did expect something called strawberry cream. I did not expect it to be pepto bismol pink and extremely sweet, and thick like condensed milk or cool whip. They gave me syrup and i didnt use any of it because it was just so sweet. Because they put it in the middle of the waffle the cream and fruit were unpleasantly warm. I think of fruit and cream as a cool and refreshing part of the dessert waffle, not warm. The waffle, which usually has a crispy outside and soft interior, ended up evenly moist and soggy. And the color. Do i believe strawberries could make cream that color? Maybe. Do i believe they did here? No, the uniformity looks like food coloring. Do i believe they should have done this? No, this is a very unappetizing color overall, unsettlingly like raw meat. The taste itself was like 4/5, it was pretty good minus the overly sweet cream. But i was disappointed in the overall waffle eating experience, the soggy waffle, the warm fruit (and the strawberry that was unpleasantly brown- im usually fine with odd looking fruit but strawberries dont normally look like that right??) My partner got a burger. It came with lettuce and tomatoes, which wasnt listed on the menu. The lettuce was fine but my partner does not like tomatoes. They said they wished the menu had clearer options for add ons to a burger, like whether they could get the grilled onions on the normal burger instead of the one with hot sauce. The only add on to a normal burger was bacon or cheese i think. Service and ambiance was fine overall. Just a weird waffle eating experience.

What a delicious addition to the Arlington Heights area. Brunch Cafe improves upon the previous decor by replacing the lighting side the dining rooms so that it feels new and energetic. Just when I thought that this spot couldn't get any busier, parking is even harder to find here on weekend mornings and for good reason. Brunch Cafe brings lots of exciting breakfast creations that mix the classics with some elevated versions of favorites which is sure to please everyone in the party with their extensive menu. The prices are also quite reasonable as well, despite the more complex combinations that are available. Like other Brunch Cafe locations I've been to, there is definitely a focus on using more fresh ingredients, having attractive presentation, and keeping with good textures throughout. The pancakes here are fluffy and a good size, with specialty pancakes like the carrot cake being a bit more healthy with a multigrain batter but topped with fresh carrots and pecans that make it feel more luxurious. The skillets here are also solid, with crispy potatoes, good layering between different elements, and care taken to prepare each ingredient well. I'm also a fan of the care taken to choose fresh produce as items such as the apples and berries are nice, fresh, and juicy. Overall, worth a visit if you're a brunch lover in the area. The selection is good, prices are good, the food preparation is consistently excellent, and the dining area is fairly large so you'll likely be seated quick even when they're busy. With such a large menu, you'll need quite a bit of visits to try everything they offer!

The first thing I want to say about Brunch Cafe is they always have an excellent staff. I am continually impressed by their fast service, friendly nature, and how many times they stop by to refill coffee. I ordered the avocado toast and appreciated the different options available for the side dish. Today I picked the hash browns. The food tasted great and the portions were generous. The ambiance is decent - very clean, but I feel it's a bit sterile looking. Prices are good.

I went here to meet up with some of my family members who had gathered to have brunch. I had been to the Brunch Cafe in Kildeer but not this location before. I had prior lunch plans, so I was not planning to have a brunch meal here. I ordered a side salad with chipotle ranch dressing and a mocha cappuccino. While my order was being prepped, I tried their mimosa and had some bacon from others at my table. The mimosa was tasty but was a bit on the tart side. The fresh orange juice in the mimosa was more to my liking than the mix of the juice and the alcohol. The bacon was cooked to perfection. My side salad had freshly chopped lettuce, cucumber, onion, and tomato. The dressing came in the side. The salad did its job. I liked it. The mocha cappuccino served as a dessert for me after my salad. The restaurant was clean and well lit. It was inviting. The service was good. I would recommend checking out this establishment if you haven't been here before.

Spacious restaurant with an outdoor patio. Our server was nice and friendly. She was attentive and professional. I got the vanilla latte and the salmon Benedict. The latte was okay. I did find it overly sweet. The salmon Benedict was not too bad, kinda plain. I would have like it with some onions and tomatoes to balance out the salty capers. The pancakes were pretty good. It was nice and fluffy. Overall, I would go back and try something else .

ordered for pick-up this time and got the brunch chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. my husband got the breakfast sliders. i was very disappointed with my choice. there was very little avocado and only 3 small slices of apple in the whole sandwich. the fries were undercooked - lot of crunchy pieces. also there were a few fries that tasted like cleaning solution so I had to spit those out. my husband enjoyed his sliders though. i think this will be my last time ordering.

New go to spot for a solid breakfast. Great bacon, well cooked and consistent dishes. A lot of old fav joints have gone downhill so I'm glad to have Brunch Cafe

This location of Brunch Cafe has been open for about three months now. We've passed it a few times and this time, we decided to try it. Saturdays I dedicate to my mom. She's in her 90s, and she goes to the hairdresser in Palatine every Saturday at 11 AM. I pick her up, and after, we typically go to lunch or brunch after. We pass Brunch Cafe on the way back to her place. This Saturday, we took the plunge. I was a little worried there would be a wait since it's new and they offer a waitlist option on Yelp. The waitlist was closed, so we simply went there. Fortunately, we were seated almost immediately. The place is open and airy. It's got no sound dampening, so it was a little loud for my tastes. Our server seated us in a far corner booth which did dampen some of the sound. We appreciated that. Our server was amazing. She was very attentive, offered suggestions, and kept our coffee filled. She also listened to me carefully about my food allergies. I know she related it to the chef since he made some changes to the meal before delivering it. First, their coffee is good. I think I must have had four cups... My mom ordered the Avocado Toast. They really dress it up (see my photo) and had fresh fruit with it. She raved about how good it was throughout our meal. As for me, I opted for the Brunch Burger. They serve it without a bun on a bed of spinach. It's served with sauteed onions and cheese, but with a milk allergy, there was no cheese and the chef opted to give me raw onions lest it cross constaminate with their skillet. The burger was tasty. It was on a mound of Spinach - probably a full cup. I wish they sauteed the spinach (although they probably didn't due to concerns about cross contamination., but I can't complain due to their acknowledging my concern. The fruit was great. For me, there aren't a whole lot of options on the menu. For others, I would say this is another nice brunch location in Arlington Heights.

Food and service is above average. They did a nice job remodeling the space. A little on the pricey side for a breakfast spot.

However, I'd join when you are 10 minutes away as sometimes the line goes quick and you get passed. After we are called for our seats, we wait in a small line as they prep the table. After we were seated, the staff quickly gave us water as we looked over the menu. I was not in the mood for a fancy breakfast so I went traditional, Two Eggs over medium, veggie patties (homemade), hash browns and pancakes with decaffeinated coffee with honey. The food came in a nice time, not too long and not too quick- enough to have a nice conversation while waiting. When the food came, everything was cooked to perfection. The eggs over medium, the hash browns were cooked and had that bit of crunch from the skillet. Pancakes were a nice size. And the veggie patties were tasty! The coffee with just honey hit the spot. It appears everyone else really liked their food as it was pretty quiet. Lol. I enjoy this place especially bringing family and friends from out of town. Good times and great memories.

I wandered into The Southern Kitchen…read more The room was packed with yuppies and suburban families trying to keep syrup off children who had clearly declared war on napkins. Then Nevi appeared. Good God. Every civilization has one person capable of making you briefly forget your own name. Nevi was that person. She looked like the sort of woman who could convince a jury to acquit you of crimes you'd actually committed. As a waitress? Adequate. She took the order. She brought iced tea. She never once inspired me to write poetry about customer service. She wasn't bad, just operating under the unfortunate handicap of looking like she belonged in a magazine instead of carrying breakfast to hipsters with too much disposable income. The chicken and waffles arrived looking like they'd been designed by a committee of Southern grandmothers with a complete disregard for cholesterol or moderation. The chicken shattered under the fork with a glorious crunch that echoed across the room like a rifle shot at dawn. Juicy inside. Properly seasoned. No gimmicks. The waffles were exactly what waffles should be: sturdy enough to support a reckless amount of syrup without collapsing into emotional ruin. However... their syrup suuuuucked! I needed the godd**n jaws of life to get it out of the bottle as it limply drizzled in my waffle at the speed of molasses. The chicken & waffles though? Together they formed one of those rare culinary alliances... Just excellent fried chicken sitting confidently on an excellent waffle, as nature intended. Meanwhile, Nevi drifted through the dining room causing minor traffic accidents in the peripheral vision of every man under eighty. If she'd also been an exceptional waitress, there would've been riots. Five stars. Nevi was worth briefly reconsidering my life choices. And the iced tea was strong enough to convince me that, despite all available evidence, America might survive another week.
