I love Brunch Cafe, but this is the first time I was at the Deerfield location. The service was terrible on a weekday with hardly any customers in the restaurant. No manager in sight, unlike the other locations that has a manager ensuring everything was to your liking. The server did not bring the right entree, it was prepared wrong. I have it prepared the same way at every location with no issues. We also waited a long time for our food....way too long. She did offer to bring it back and just have the chef the scramble the omelet she brought (I ordered an Butcher Omelet, but scrambled instead of omelet form). She did not offer to have it made the correct way from the start. We had to continue to look for her to ask for coffee even though as I stated earlier the restaurant was empty. The food was not as good as the other locations as well. Very poor customer service and poorly managed. I will continue to go to their other locations, but never again to the Deerfield location. My bad as I should have asked for the manager at check out and told him the issues, but I was very frustrated and just wanted to get out of there. read more

I have gone to Brunch Cafe many times. I went with a friend because it was a convenient place to meet. But after a number of visits where I have to say the food was not even adequate, I told him we have to try other places even if they are further away. I even tried to explain my orders in great detail so maybe the food would be prepared correctly other than being loaded in grease but that didn't help. We have since tried new places and I will never return to Brunch Cafe. read more

I became violently ill almost immediately after eating the breakfast burrito and the salsa, which was more like cocktail sauce. Just after I paid and before I got to my car, EVERYWHERE! When I called, the seemingly young and inexperienced manager (Kelly?) didn't seem to care at all and just told me that I'm the only one, she has seen other people eat what I had and they're fine, so there must be something wrong with me. No plans to go back other than for the gift certificate offered versus a refund. Be careful, but at least you know that management won't care if you get sick! read more

Entering into Brunch Cafe I was pretty excited. The service was great and the whole process was pretty smooth. But when it came to food, I felt like I was eating the most bland breakfast burrito I ever tasted. Even for a white guy like me there was NOTHING. Just the consistency of mush and no flavor whatsoever. Really disappointed because I was pretty excited coming in here. I'm gonna extrapolate my experience and probably assume that they are lackluster overall when it comes to flavoring their food. But maybe trying some sweeter items on the menu might be a good idea. read more

Had morning brunch this morning, with two eggs over medium, hash browns, bacon and toast. BLT with chips as a side, cinnamon rolls and waffle with fruit. The place is cranking, place full and people waiting. The meals were delicious, the service was great and the bussing removal was great. This is a great spot for breakfast and lunch. read more

My son and I checked out this neighborhood spot today. The place is pretty cute, no line on a Monday morning. The menu has a ton of selections, all the brunch favorites. The execution is where I thought it was a bit lacking. The food came out basically 5 minutes after we ordered. How did it get done so fast? Although my son loved his red velvet French toast, I thought my avocado toast barely had any actual avocado! The bread was not the greatest quality. The avocado was a thin spread, and loaded with tomatoes/arugula/balsamic... I almost didn't taste any avocado. I asked for an egg on top, and was served (and charged) for 2 eggs. Besides the balsamic, no other seasoning on the toast, so a bit bland. My cold pressed juice was good, and my son enjoyed his smoothie. The prices I thought were high. $45 for the 2 entrees and 2 drinks. We might come back for the French toast. The rest, I do better at home. read more

I've been to the brunch cafe in Deerfield 3 times in the last 3 weeks, twice for breakfast and once for lunch. Each time the food was good, service was fine and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect in a breakfast/ lunch restaurant. When full at lunch at gets pretty noisy, typical I think. After a pleasant 9 holes, I built up an appetite with my golf buddy and we decided to stop into Deerfield Brunch Cafe for a quick bite. I was quickly seated and and even quicker to realize I had made a mistake by choosing to dine here. After waiting 25 minutes without being served or given water, a kind Busser came to check in. We informed him of our situation and he took action immediately by approaching the nearest waitress to inform her we hadn't been served after waiting for 25 minutes. With her words she said, "That's not my table", but what she meant was "That's not my problem". She expressed zero concern and so we immediately got up and left. Never has this happened to me, nor would I want it to happen to you - my advice would be to choose another restaurant. For what it's worth, the food others were eating looked extremely mid at best. We went to "Scrambled" next door and were served water in sub 30 seconds and our order taken in under 7 minutes. What a joke. read more

I went three different times, from the lack of attention at the front of the restaurant, with no greeting or urgency to the mediocre taste of the food. This has become a go to spot. Food is always fantastic, prices are good, and you tend to get your meals fairly quickly. First time trying Brunch Cafe. We had a large party (8), so we couldn't use NoWait. Therefore, it was probably 20 minutes before we were seated. Our service was very good, particularly with how busy it was, although a couple of the orders were wrong and had to be redone. The food was delicious, with plenty of meat and cheese in the omelets. The potatoes were done well with the right amount of seasoning. The manager, Andy, was friendly and helpful, and checked on us a couple of times. I particularly liked that the servers were all wearing Cubs or Sox jerseys. It gave it a great hometown feel. We'll be back, although maybe with a smaller group so that we can use NoWait. read more

Have dined there three times for breakfast and on two occasions server screwed up the order and quite honestly I think language issues were the cause. The first time I ordered multi grain pancakes and got multi grain toast. The second, my wife ordered pumpkin pancakes and got same meal that I ordered, buttermilk pancakes with blueberries. read more
