Got to try this super cute brunch spot today. Not only is the exterior clean and inviting but the interior is super clean, modern, and adorable as well. We tried the vanilla latte, caramel latte, campfire skillet with buttermilk pancakes and the fiesta omelet with Bananas foster French toast. The meal was phenomenal. Absolutely perfect and delicious. Went today for my 5 th visit to the restaurant. Ordered egg whites. The egg whites tasted terrible and I couldn't eat them. I think the issues was with the fat they were cooked. The owner came to the table with about 16 eggs in a tray and told them no one had ever complained about his eggs. He was rude and dismissive. I have been eating eggs for a long time. Even the best restaurant occasionally serves bad eggs. But the successful restaurant tries to recover and make the customer happy. The owner was more concerned with starting a fight. I won't ever return there are too many choices in the area. Went to Walker Brothers and the egg whites were perfect. I guess my taste buds changed in 10 minutes. read more

Went on Father's Day. Super busy but absolutely worth the wait! Once we were seated, service was quick but not rushed. The service team were attentive and didn't limit their attention to only their section. All of our selections arrived hot and were delicious. The restaurant outside seating was incredibly comfortable. Inside was nicely decorated. Wicker chairs throughout inside were very uncomfortable with the leg tops pushing into your knees. We weren't seated for 20 minutes past our reservation, then sat waiting for our wait staff another 20 minutes to take drink orders. I never got the coffee I ordered. Food was salty and dry. Left most of my food (breakfast pot pie), didn't bother to take it home. Same for my husband (campfire skillet). Staff all seemed cranky. Probably won't go back. read more

This place is so cute that I really had high hopes for the food. Our server was fantastic. He was very fast and super helpful. I give him 5 stars. I ordered an omelet with a bunch of veggies. It is something I order nearly every place I go, so I am aware of how the veggies are prepped most places. What I ordered had tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, and maybe one or two other things. They were not warmed up or tossed in olive oil or seasoned at all. Everything was bland even after I added a LOT of salt. So I stopped eating the omelet and started with the potatoes and the toast and same thing: overall just bland. I love the look of this place. Sleek design and decor. Very large breakfast portions- I had enough to take home for a second meal! The prices reflect the larger portions but I found it to be reasonable. I ordered a make your own omelet which comes with up to 3 veggies, 1 meat, and 1 cheese. Wonderful food my family and I came here on a Sunday morning. There was about a 20 minute wait but we were very generously given a six person table in one of their private area rooms with a wonderful view of the lake. The food was definitely five stars. The service was five stars. The only reason it received four stars was upon coming to the table. They were a few items that were not cleaned And their chairs are unfortunately very uncomfortable as you'll be able to see in the photo. So, first off, there is plenty of parking which matters. Upon entering it's honestly nothing special, just your average diner look... certainly nothing to complain about. What's nice is: 1. The extensive menu, 2. The portion size, 3. Personally I liked the CARMELIZED onions in my veggie omelette (added a special flavor), and 4. The biscuits. The service was adequate. While we were there an annoying fire alarm repeatedly went off due to work they were doing. It actually wasn't awful but what was interesting is that they automatically gave every patron a percentage off of their bill because of it, absolutely not necessary but thoughtful customer service. I would have given (5) stars but what happened after the meal made me change that. Food was good, waitstaff was great, atmosphere was modern & clean. We went for Easter brunch, and there were 7 of us. We spent $300. We wanted (2) separate checks but that was not allowed. Our waiter said we could pay with multiple credit cards so we were happy. When checking out and paying the bill we were made aware of a 3% split check fee. When questioning we were told it was stated at the very bottom of the check. For the amount of money we were spending you're going to charge us extra to accept 2 credit cards? Come on now. When I tried to ask the manager/owner about it, all he did was say "Happy Easter & Have a nice Day", several times. Dismissing me completely. VERY rude. NOT the kind of customer service if you want me to come back to your restaurant. There are lots of other choices out there! What a shame, to lose a new customer over an unnecessary extra card fee. These establishments that keep doing this to their customers are only costing them business, I'm sorry to say. My tip: ask about the payment rules and fees before you go anywhere. read more

This restaurant was remarkable in every sense of the word and it is rewarding to see an establishment thrive in this space, especially since many other eateries here failed to do so. My wife, daugthers and I were here on Father's Day and the place was hopping. Special kudos to the busboy and the young woman hostess/cashier. Both were far more patient than I could ever be in similar roles (or period). We typically try to avoid popular dining spots on holidays, especially in Riverwoods, IL, given the preponderance of patrons birthed, it seems, with silver speculums in their mouths. Yesterday was no exception, encountering, as we did, a swarthy, Tesla driving patron who apparently made a noontime reservation and felt the need to express his disdain for not being shown his table by 12:10 pm. There were some others, too, perhaps even "Margaret S", a previous reviewer, in the flesh, whose disappointment with the chairs and overall milieu must indeed be correlated to her/their body habitus or general chargin with her/his/its lot in life. The food was ample, tasty, quickly served and excellent in every sense of the word. The waitress, Areli, was efficient, thoughtful, beautiful and kind. Oy vey, my lumbago was acting up and the waiter was not attentive to my myriad lists of needs for computing the folic acid content of the persimmon pie slice on the menu. Also, while there, I saw some people praying at their tables and I found this highly offensive.... To this point, what greater compliment could be paid an establishment than multiple critical reviews, left by an unhappy and perhaps latency stage fixated birthing object from Deerfield, IL, in whose cerebral cortex this fine establishment apparently lives "rent free" as my psychobabbling therapist describes my fascination with Camille St. Saens and Cecile Licad? Confused? See the review preceeding chronologic review below this one. Blah, blah, blah. This restaurant is fantastic, my wife and I are so very pleased we have found it and will be back many times in the future. You'll excuse my sardonic opening paragraph which represents my "one off" attempt to indicate that, but for the self-centered plethora of wining "lady bountifuls" encountered while we were there, I know of no way to improve this wonderful locale. We used to live in this area before we moved to Glencoe, where many of our neighbors posted far left oriented signs on their front lawns and encourage exponential influx of migrant populations (that is, until some commenced camping out in front of their homes) so we decided to leave our utopian mecca to see how the other half subsists. The place was pretty hectic but none of the staff missed a beat. The gentleman greeting customers as they entered the place was engaging, kind and jocular, the waitress was smoking hot (I even told my wife) and the busboy (oops, sorry, the bus "non-birthing" object) was expedient, focused and very attentive. I seem to recall numerous establishments in this space that, for whatever reason, failed, so it is especially gratifying to have a thriving, quality laden vendor of food services there. Based on my very limited observation, serving several simultaneously present and vocal self-important and demanding souls that patronize the place cannot be an easy endeavor. That the entire Brunch Factory staff last Saturday morning pulled off the task with the aplomb of a dedicated group is a testament to just how awesome is this place. Disorganized and unpleasant! Food so-so Hygiene- observed bus boy wipe floors with rag and proceeded to wipe table with same cloth. Only good part of this totally disorganized restaurant was our waiter Jose who went above and beyond . Mother's Day - reservation at 11:30 - were seated at 12:45. As per management- there were running behind . After placing orders - around 12:50 - food served at 2:15 . By that time - all that waiting and chaos all joy of celebrating Mother's Day was gone . Knowing that it's one of the busiest days - management didn't bother to prepare ahead to either have more kitchen staff that day or not accept so many customers esp as some people made reservations. Management's attitude! The food and dining was great. The service was outstanding. After finishing our meal, we were approached by the manager and were told we needed to leave. We had been there for 60 minutes and had just finished our meal. We hadn't even received our check yet. It was very offensive. There was a much nicer way she could have approached us. Been coming here since this restaurant opened and have never been treated this way at this restaurant or any other. We went to celebrate Father's Day. The place was packed, but I called a few days ahead and made a reservation. The waitress was very cheerful and patient. Lady at front, a manager, a bass boy were cheerful and accommodative. My mother-in-law asked for hot tea, and the waitress brought a box with good variety to choose from. My caramel macchiato was exceptional, not too sweet, just nice. Buttermilk pancakes ordered by our son were very thick and appealing. Unfortunately, they didn't arrive with the rest of the food, and we asked the waitress, but the running by manager noticed and promptly brought pancakes. That delay caused my omelet and my husband's meal became cooler: we didn't start eating until everyone in the party got their orders. My husband was unhappy with hash brownies (not enough salt and not fried enough) and the toast was burned. However, Mediterranean omelet, which I ordered, was perfect, and my mother-in-law was happy with the ordered chop salad. The place was very busy, and the noise level was a little higher, but it was Sunday brunch around noon plus Father's Day. The lady upfront mentioned that this is a regular situation on weekend. The place is nicely decorated, clean, has shiny silverware and plates, everything was brought without asking - honey, whipped butter for toasts, maple syrup for buttermilk pancakes. I definitely will come again on a cooler day to stay outside, and I will try to have a lunch on a weekday. Overall, it's the great place. read more

We walked into the Brunch Factory on a Sunday at 10:30 am. We were early and waited for our friends accross from the reception counter. The owner was at the counter and he was very friendly and the staff was courteous and efficient. The restaurant has been totally remodeled and is modern and comfortable. And, then the food came! Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Although the prices were lofty, the portions were very skimpy and not equal in quality or taste to other similar restaurants in the area. The owners need to upgrade the menu dishes and improve the quality if they want to stay open in this competitive market! read more

I gave this place three stars because the service definitely was lacking. Went there at 12:30 and there were all kinds of empty tables outside, but I was told it was a 45-minute wait and no sight of a line or gathering of people waiting for a table. We finally did get seated outside after what was probably ten minutes. Ordered food and coffee. Two other tables sat down after us and got their food before us. Server was nowhere in sight to pour more coffee. I had to go inside to ask for more. The food finally arrived and it was good, nice portions. Had the veggie skillet, my husband had an omelet and someone else had a breakfast sandwich. Hopefully this was just a glitch. I will go back and give it another go. read more

I ordered the falafel in pita which unfortunately wasn't that great. The pita was falling apart and it was really difficult to eat. I ended up just eating it with a fork and knife. Our server was ok, she definitely could have been more attentive because she didn't check in with us at all unless we flagged her down and ask for napkins/refills.
