So I saw this the other day at the spot where the old Mongolian barbecue was and was pretty excited to try it. Took the light here this morning. Hoping to really love it. Overall, it's okay. Now the hotcakes are really tasty with a nice fluffiness to them and they have a sweet flavor to them without anything on them. I got the breakfast quesadilla which is pretty good flavor wise, but I think the overall feeling of the place is it's pretty basic at least for the stuff that we got. We did notice a lot of other things. Very Southern on the menu like fried catfish and chicken and waffles. That could be better but the breakfast we got is pretty basic and not something we'd come back for. We don't really have any options for their eggs at scrambled, scrambled or scrambled. The toast is pretty much Wonder bread and the sausage is quite honestly pretty sad. They're still in the process of opening so I think things ran fairly smoothly considering and our waitress was good. But overall probably not a place that we will run back to. There's so many great breakfast and run spots within a 20-minute drive of our house, this one's not going to get us very often.

I passed this place a couple of times and have wanted to stop in and try it. Despite the reviews, I was open to giving it a chance. I Didn't see many staff members there, but the server seemed nice enough. There were only a couple of other people in the restaurant. The first thing I noticed was how expensive the prices were and really for no good reason. This doesn't strike me as a brunch spot per sey, but rather a diner like atmosthe. Different choices on the menu. Also, it reminded me of food. I might find in a soul restaurant. A miss mash of different items.When our food arrived, it actually did not taste that bad. But I was so turned off by the prices that would stop me from coming again.

It was warm and stuffy when we walked in. I noticed the thermostats were set to 85-87 degrees. It wasn't crowded (1/3 of the place filled). We were sat and noticed a bunch of people around us looking frustrated waiting. It took about 10 minutes until our server came to ask about drinks. It took another 20 minutes until we were actually asked for our order (remember...this place was NOT busy and packed). I out a timer to see how long it would take for our food to come out. In the meantime we noticed at least 2 groups walk out. That should've been the first clue. While waiting for our food to come (about 46 minutes!) we saw 4 other groups walk out. They were enough servers/waitresses. Seems to be a cooking line issue. The people seem nice and I kind of feel badly for our waitress because perhaps some was out of her control. But yikes. Got our food. It wasn't bad and not great either. Prices are high considering everything from above. One plate came out cold (it had been sitting for a while). I like to see new places succeed. Whatever they are doing here is hurting them. It's harder to rebuild a reputation rather than establishing a great one from the start. Not coming back and don't recommend.

Food was ok, the turkey sausage in my bowl was overcooked. I had French toast which was delicious. I wouldn't recommend this place simply because I felt it was over priced for a breakfast place.

Upon entering this establishment, we thought they might not be open yet as the doors looked like someone tried to partially scrape off the peeling tint. We entered and by the looks of the interior it appeared unfinished. While our server was pleasant, the food was subpar. We ordered the breakfast quesadilla w/ potatoes, nothing special and the potatoes were salty as Hell and I salt almost everything but these were inedible. The accompaniment sauces were ketchup, chili Verde & what seemed like their version of tartar that they'd serve with the catfish. When I asked the server for the pico which is stated on the menu, she had to ask the chef and came back to tell us that it is something they plan to make at another time ‍. We also tried the pancakes. These were very dry, I had to cut 3/4 of the outside to get to a somewhat edible center. I don't think we'll return, too many other places to choose from that have decent food. I had pics of the food but realized I deleted them before finishing this review. You aren't missing much.

If I could give less than one star I would, service was okay at best, one employee is working while the others are sitting in the booth drinking alcohol. Food is one star at best- bacon appears to be cheap, microwave precooked, eggs overcooked and just overall awful. Do not waste your time or money.

88 degrees in the restaurant. We moved to sit under the fans and were still too hot to be comfortable.

Sharing a photo of the inside temp, it was 88 degrees. Several people, including myself, asked to move seats under the fans and it was still uncomfortably hot. My friend ordered the chilaquiles & the chips were stale. Mediocre food & unpleasant atmosphere. The only positive thing was our sever was very very sweet!

I am glad to see this place and enjoyed breakfast here. I got the Red Velvet Waffle but it was really more of a pancake. The presentation was excellent, very nice looking breakfast. A little dry as was my friends Banana French Toast. He felt the egg custard should have had more time to soak the interior of the Texas toast but other than that it was excellent. I know these things are petty and I still enjoyed my breakfast. We also had good coffee and got a couple Lemon Cocktails from the bar. I recommend trying this place

Some of the best fried chicken and waffles on the westside. The DJ was spinning some faves from the early 2000s. Would highly recommend for both the food and ambiance.

I have been wanting to go here since for a few weeks. I am so glad we finally went! The food was delicious. I got the chicken and peach cobbler waffles. My son got pancake breakfast tacos. We are so excited to go back. The servers were friendly. Loved the team environment-the energy was great! We sat near the kitchen so staff were constantly interacting with us. Saw a couple of people leave due to the long wait. We also waited awhile for our food but it was worth it!

We were excited to try a new brunch place on the west side. We walked in and the smell of chemicals immediately hit me. They are still renovating this place so I'm not sure what the smell was. Cleaning products? Building supplies?The walls are bare and it looks like they shouldn't even be open yet. It was maybe a quarter filled with customers and it took a bit for anyone to acknowledge us. Not welcoming at all. The waitress/ hostess looked at us like .... Really? More people to serve? I immediately walked right out. Won't be back. read more

Food was terrible, scrambled eggs were liquidy and runny, grits did not taste like grits more like polenta and very salty. Country potatoes dry and salty. Slow service, took over an hour to get our food. Never came back check on us for anything not even to refill my coffee. Expected a live DJ, but they were playing off a phone turning on and off music. Needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

First off, I want to say the bad reviews must be from people who complain for a living. Especially those complaining about the pricing of the menu. Their prices are no different than going to another place similar. The atmosphere is wonderful. The service is superb. Staff was extremely pleasant and happy. Everything we got tasted AMAZING. We go to places all the time to try new things and this place hands down is my favorite. We will definitely be coming back. Do not let these horrible reviews sway you. Just a bunch of pick me Karen's. Also absolutely LOVE the r&b they're playing. 10/10 highly recommend! read more

This place was horrible, We walked out before ever being served. The employees killed it the second you walk in the door. We were super excited to have this place close by but they all seemed like they didn't want to be there , its was hot , quiet and zero atmosphere music. It is zero surprise that it closed. It would have survived with an attentive owner for sure! read more

I had thought it nice to see a new brunch place open in the neighborhood, sadly disappointing. Sunday mid-day all the other restaurants along P83, and Bell rd were packed. I thought this restaurant looked slow from Bell rd because it was a new restaurant, so I went in. Only a couple tables of customers should have told me all I needed. My order, 2eggs over medium but we're very over cooked, 3 pieces of bacon were ok, weat toast served cold and dry, side of grits that must have been scraped off the bottom of the pot. And an ice tea. When the waitress told me my order came to $26, I about choked at how expensive for being barely edible. Will not be back again. read more

We were at the Brunch House for 2 hours!! We were not greeted immediately and when we were seated waited 10 minutes for anyone to take our drink order. When my husband asked about one of the drinks the waitress said she didn't know anything about it. We asked to try the deep fried deviled eggs when she took our drink order. She went to two different waitresses asking how to put order in ; brought our water and said someone will be over to take your order and then left- never saw her again. When our drinks were delivered 1/2 hour later we asked if our order could be taken. We asked about the deep fried deviled eggs we had ordered and were told the order had not been placed so we ordered these along with the pork chop breakfast and red velvet waffle . We waited another 40 minutes for food , when it was delivered had to ask for silverware. We saw other tables come in , eat , and leave while waiting for food. Still no deep fried deviled eggs and when we asked about them, we were told the eggs had to be hard boiled first so it was taking longer!! Wouldn't you have hard boiled eggs in your prep? The pork chops were thin pork cutlets and were not cooked clear through-looked like they tried to cook pork chop by deep frying it- we did point this out and this was removed from our bill. The red velvet waffle arrived as red velvet waffle chicken sliders - Not what we ordered but kept and was very good . After we had finished our meals (1 and 1/2 hours later)- the deviled eggs arrived . These also were good but not worth waiting almost 2 hours for. Wait staff is pleasant and apologetic but no flow to order taking and delivering food- . Decor looks like it is unfinished, as if they unlocked the doors and walked in and started serving . DJ playing music , was a little loud to be able to hold a conversation. We did see 1 table waiting to order or receive food , after an hour left money on table for their coffee and left. Need a Manager and interior decorator - Not sure we will try again. read more

Over priced place, quality of service is a joke we came in when not super busy, they had plenty of workers but it still was slow. We ordered food and after 30 mins nobody came to check on us or even bring us food, don't waist ur time. read more

This restaurant lacks everything. Staff acts "bored" and put out to even serve you, dirty tables for 20 minutes when it wasn't even busy, we waited 10 minutes before someone came to get our drink order (there were only 2 other tables occupied), restrooms were out of toilet paper and the rest of the restaurant was filthy. We waiting 20 minutes for pancakes and scrambled eggs and NEVER saw a manager. Being in F&B myself, I would never recommend or return. read more

I wanted to really like this place. Because in Arizona we don't seem to have enough non big chain breakfast places. Staff were nice, but service was super slow. Ambiance doesn't seem to fit the menu or the prices. During our time there, we watch 3-4 groups sit down look at the menu and leave. It seems like this place is searching for an identity. Normally we love southern cooking because of great bold flavors. The food here was lacking favor, the portion sizes and the plating of the food are below average. For example the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits spaced out far apart with watery gravy and a long rectangular plate. Biscuits were cold and the gravy watery. We had to add a bunch of pepper and hot sauce to them to get any kind of flavor. In fact someone in our group asked "are you putting hot sauce on your biscuits and gravy?" I could break down each one of the 4 dishes and the disappointment that accompanied them. But moral of the story is this. Save your time and money and try another breakfast place. read more

THIS LOCATION IS CLOSED!!! We went this morning after reviewing the menu on Google, and found the business has three UPS Failed Delivery stickers on the door, a 'Looking to Lease? Call xxx-xxx-xxxx!' poster from the management company, and stuff ( metal sink, trash can dolly) scattered in view of the glass double doors. Still had the "We're Open! Welcome!" banner hanging over the front of the entrance wall. read more

We ate this weekend at the newly opened Brunch House in Glendale, near Arrowhead mall, and will not be returning. We sat for 20 minutes before our drink order was taken. 40 minutes before our food order was taken. My drink did not arrive until after my food arrived. Had to wait for silverware to be brought several minutes after our food. The table next to us got their food before us and also had to wait for silverware. When it comes to the food, the quality does not match the price. read more

The chicken was dry in both the omelet & waffle sliders. Coffee was weak and not hot enough. The prices were excessive for the quality of the food. Service was good. Music was good. read more

This restaurant took over a space from an old Genghis grill did not change the front door still had Genghis Grill, and the hours on the front door. Some of the boxes containers in the bathroom are old and rusty. Some of the high top tables are propped up by cardboard. The table we sat at had a big chip in it. The windows were missing shades the black paint to help cover up the sun was coming off and peeling the ceiling fans around the lights made a strobe light affect and could cause somebody with a stroke to have a seizure. The walls were dirty. they were playing music I believe from a DJ. It was so loud you couldn't talk and some of the music was inappropriate for the time of .The food came out. My chicken was cold. They did fix that problem. Why we were there I saw two groups of people come in and leave without ordering I would not recommend this place. read more

This a new established and let me tell you, this food is nothing short of amazing. I've been in Az for 6 years now and this is the best food I have ever had. The sample that we were given of the oxtail and grits was bomb.com. I wish I would have took pictures of all of the food we ordered but it was so good we forgot about the pictures. Would This will be me and my husbands little getaway brunch spot. read more

If you're thinking about it, don't do it save your money!! my brother lives in Laveen and he had been to the one over there and told me how good the food was and how much fun he had so to my surprise they have one here on my side of town had to try it. I got the dish with the waffle and the chicken on it. SMH it look pretty but where is the food? The waffle is basically one waffle broken up and into four pieces to look like more, and then the chicken I had four little pieces of chicken which amounted to maybe two chicken wings and for over $20 more pitiful!! I tried it so I can take that off my list, but I really wish I could have my money back!! oh and when you walk in, they look at you like what are you doing here? I thought this was a restaurant!! so even though the place is not crowded it took them like 15 minutes to take our order. read more

So bad reviews aside, I was thoroughly impressed. For those who expected things to go without a hitch in their first month opening, you set yourself up for disappointment. The atmosphere was nice, modern and clean. I like the open space concept, color scheme, and music was at a good level- not too loud. Our server was very friendly and polite. We came in on a Sunday afternoon and found it not busy- perfect timing in my opinion! As far as the time it took to get our food- nothing different than any other place but nothing too long. They actually have flavorful food which takes longer to prep if to be successful and make their customer happy. I ordered the strawberry waffles: warm, fluffy, crunchy, fresh strawberries that were not soggy or too ripe and delicious! We also got the Oreo French toast. Also the salmon bites were awesome! They stayed hot for a long time. Over all I'm really pleased. All new places take time to find their pace and I can say with confidence that they're finding theirs. The kids got the fruity people waffle and chicken plate and when kids give it a thumbs up you know it's a win! Definitely recommend read more

We had to check this place out after a friend told us how good it was. I don't know why the reviews aren't better. The food was very good and our server was so sweet. They were very busy so I hope more people will give them a try and not shy away based on the reviews. It's not easy opening a restaurant in Glendale in the summer. I wish them all the best and hope they survive because we need to support our small businesses. read more

First of all, their website story says, "Our vision is to provide a warm and comfortable dining experience". While it was welcoming, it certainly was not comfortable as it was very cold inside. The food was disappointing-especially for the price. Sausage was fatty, potatoes were just chunks that were deep fried. The oil must have been reused as the potatoes tasted awful! We were excited to have another brunch spot close to the house, unfortunately this is not it. The place lacks any real decor other than one LED sign that says "brunch spot". When we came in, there was only 2 other tables, which was concerning but we took a chance. First we ordered two flights of mimosas and both chose a different type of juice. When they finally came out 20 minutes later, they were warm and only got two of the four each. They said they ran out of glasses, which didn't make sense since there were only 10 people in the entire restaurant and we made up two of them. They finally brought over our other four mimosas in glasses, half the size and let us know that they did not have the juices we wanted so they picked different juices for us. We waited an additional 15 minutes before the server came back over to ask if we were ready to order and we were. More folks came in after and got their food long before we did. The food took about 45 minutes to come out from the kitchen. When it did come out, the food was good. My fiancé's food was a little soggy, but still good, probably the best part of the experience. Once our food did arrive, we weren't checked on to see how it was, and it took about another 30 minutes to get our check from the server. read more

Very interesting place. We were the only customers there. The "hostess" was a pierced, tattooed person. Nice enough and accommodating. The food was expensive and way too sweet. We had the blueberry pancakes and they were covered with a sugary topping. Expensive for what we got. Won't go back. read more

My husband and I were excited to try it out and will not go back. When we walked in the hostess grabbed menus and started walking without even saying hello. When we got to the table the syrup bottle was disgusting and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. We sat there for 10 mins and no one greeted us or even brought over waters.. we left and went to hash kitchen. read more

I've been to a couple of brunch places and they all have their own thing going for them. I met the owner and he was very friendly. I purchased my table's Hooka from him. One of the waitresses primed it and we were ready to go. We got there before the music and people started to show up, so we went back to the car to wait for more people to start coming in (11am) after 11:30ish the DJ started playing music and people came. My daughter and I got a better seat than what we did before we left out to wait and come back, so that was good. The event was for my birthday, so we were excited, just a party of 2. My daughter ordered chicken and waffles and I ordered steak and eggs. My first mistake was ordering steak from them. They are not a steakhouse and I know better. Food came out within a reasonable time. People asked to take pics and video which was nice. We ordered drinks. I did not like mine, it was a coconut something, so once again that was my mistake. Before we could dig in, the power went out. The whole block went out, and that was very unfortunate for us all. I finished my food as quickly as I could. I'm glad I had Cashapp to pay because that is all they were able to process. Even if the power didn't go off, I still would have given them a mediocre score. I'm going to go back and give them another chance, and order different food. I'm sure they will be a solid 4 after that. Food was amazing I wish I had took a picture but before I could even thought about it I had already began eating. The vibes and energy was amazing as well. All the servers were friendly and very attentive. The chicken was cooked to perfection. I have to say my favorite was the green fried tomatoes and the devil eggs. The drinks I received were amazing as well. The food came out fresh. I enjoyed myself and will be returning soon read more

Arrive around 10am on a Saturday morning. Was not full but still had a 15 min wait with multiple tables open. Finally sat down and ordered some drinks. Took about 20 mins to get two drinks from the bar. We had ordered two bloody Mary's, one of them had a pickle and an olive the other had bacon and an olive. Was a bit odd that they both had different items come with. For food, I ordered the chilaquiles and my guest ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. The biscuit look like it was Pillsberry frozen biscuit that is pre-cooked and all they did was thaw them out. Gravy was not horrible however. $6 for two pieces of bacon. The Chilaquiles, however, were absolutely horrible!!!! The menu description said it had chicken Tinga , a bed of corn chips, salsa rojas with queso fresco, two eggs, and Mexican cream. When it arrived , the bed of corn chips looked like it was the ones that you got from Harkins theater when you order nachos, diced chicken with no flavoring and clearly not Tinga, ordered my eggs over easy they came over hard, salsa Roja tasted like it came from a can of salsa from Safeway, had shredded cheese that look like it came from a great value bag, had no queso fresco and no Mexican Crema. They really should just call chicken nachos and not Chilaquiles. On top of that, my bill was over $90. Absolutely will not be returning and please avoid at all cost. You are better off getting a better meal at Denny's for breakfast read more

My girlfriend and I like to try new places and we were glad that we chose this one. The ambiance is a little basic but they are new. Our server was warm and friendly. The speaker for the music was a little loud so we did ask to be moved to a different area where we could talk. The menu certainly has some different food than what you normally see for breakfast/brunch. Ox tail isn't something that I'm familiar with but my girlfriend was very excited to see it as well as the grits. She really wanted all the details on how they cook them before she ordered and apparently it was great. I got the red velvet waffles and added some potatoes and both were excellent. The serving size was perhaps a little smaller than some restaurants but was certainly sufficient. I'd definitely go again. read more

To be fair, there was another older woman on staff who was warm, attentive, and fantastic, and the food itself continues to be a highlight. The menu is creative, thoughtful, and one of the reasons we've come back multiple times. That said, this isn't the first time we've experienced service issues here, and it often feels like the restaurant is understaffed, which may be contributing to the inconsistency. I really want to love this place and continue recommending it, but experiences like this make it hard. Great food can only carry things so far when the hospitality side feels off. It's one thing to occasionally be understaffed (I understand people call off in this business) but there's a consistency here which points towards management issues and then on top of it, when your hostess is unnecessarily rude, that's a real bummer. We also each ordered the Best F#*%ing Birria Hash and shared a stack of the Buttermilk Pancakes. Everything was so good, but I especially loved the Birria Hash. Once we finished eating, I was able to pay by scanning a QR code on our table, which was really convenient. I can truly say we had a great experience.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Brunch House and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was beyond delicious. What truly set the morning apart, though, was the outstanding service provided by Nikki. They were attentive, personable, and went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our meal was perfect. From their recommendations to their genuine care for our experience, it's clear that they love what they do and take pride in creating a memorable dining experience. My husband and I finally decided to try out this new restaurant we've been passing by, and we wish we hadn't. The moment we walked in, we were hit with a gross smell, like dirty mop water. Not a great start. We ordered the Captain's French Toast, which turned out to be bone-dry and practically inedible. My husband's steak and eggs were mediocre at best, nothing to write home about.
