Great restaurant at a working ranch. You can eat lunch while watching calf ripping and bull riding. If you have a self-contained camper you can camp here as well. I stayed for 5 nights. My husband and I stopped by here when we were in the area and hungry for lunch. It was a Sunday afternoon and the place was desolate. Maybe that is why our food wasn't good. The service was prompt and friendly. However, the food was awful. I ordered fish tacos and it wasn't edible- the fish smelled way too fishy and I was scared I would get food poisoning. Even my husband who is basically a human garbage disposal couldn't eat my dish. He ordered the beef brisket which was dry and chewy. I had Cole slaw as a side and it tasted like bleach. Maybe it was just an off time because this doesn't match other people's experience, but I cannot recommend this place. read more

This is a fun place to visit and enjoy great BBQ. Outside they were preparing for rodeo, and it is fun to watch while waiting for your food to be served. I ordered a Prime Rib French Dip and a baked potato. The sandwich was loaded with meat, and after eating about half of the meat I could finally pick up the sandwich and dip it in the au jus. Delicious! It comes with melted cheese but I got it without the cheese. You really don't need it, the sandwich is perfect without it. The potato was perfect as well. Great service, too! read more

When we arrived during lunch time, it seemed strange that it looked like there was only one lady taking everyone's orders. As for the food, I really enjoyed the side of beans, but the brisket and the other barbecue meats I tried wasn't as juicy as I was hoping. What a fun restaurant experience out of town! It should definitely be a tourist destination. We went on a Friday night and the horses were out and people were roping! It was very cool to watch. There are goats, llamas, tortoises, and donkeys to keep the kids entertained. There was live country music and a huge dance floor. Sooo many tables all over the place, and heaters as well. We had a party of 13 and there was plenty of room for us at the picnic benches. Service and food took a while to come out, but they were totally busy and it wasn't like we had anywhere to be! Everyone ordered something different and loved it. We were so quiet after the food came. The Mac & cheese was just amazing! Make sure to get it as a side. The first thing that happened was that we waited 10 minutes just to be seated. It was lunch time on a Saturday and service was extremely lethargic. This place is located in a mini ranch that includes some general stores, animals, a stage, a public restroom, a mini rodeo, and an outdoor dance floor. The first thing that should be noted is the incompetence of the waitress that served us. First, it took her 10 minutes to go and grab and pen and paper to take our order. Even after writing our orders down, we got the wrong food. Because it service was so slow, it took a long time before someone came over and corrected the mistake. That same waitress was also getting other people's orders wrong. It is an odd choice that none of the buildings in this place have air conditioning. Then add to the fact that there are tons of flies in the restaurant that are always trying to land on your food. I tried out their build your own BBQ option and tried the brisket, burnt ends, turkey breast, mac 'n cheese, and mashed potatoes. None of the meats were good. I tried two different BBQ sauces and they weren't good. The mashed potatoes and mac 'n cheese were average, but the gravy wasn't good. They also charge you a fee for not using cash. This all cost $33.54 for food I didn't even finish. Overall, a horrible experience. This place is located in the middle of nowhere and you'd be doing yourselves a favor by skipping this place and eating somewhere else. read more

We stopped by Dillon's Western Trails and let me just say--this place nailed it. I had the bacon cheeseburger and a side of mac & cheese, and both were absolutely delicious. The burger was juicy, packed with flavor, and the mac & cheese was creamy and came out hot and fast--just the way it should be. My daughter got the kids' bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries, and she loved it. My wife and I were very, very, very pleasantly surprised. If you are unaware of Dillon's or the Western Trails Ranch, on your first visit here, you don't have any clue what this is until you walk into this hidden from view incredible compound! We frequently travel up and down SR 60/Grand Avenue on the outskirts of Phoenix and just recently became aware of this gem. This 12-acre property includes 2 stages, the Buzzard's Saloon, an incredible roping showground, offering bull riding arena and a General Store - not to mention Dillon's restaurant. Another surprise, their menu! A lot of goodies tailored to anyone's taste buds... overall a humongous menu with Beers: whether canned, bottled or draft with a good assortment; a huge assortment of various types of appetizers; soups and salads; you name it kinds of sandwiches; a good list of burgers; prime rib platters; various fish entrees; barbecues; eat in or take out! Wow! We decided to make a pit stop on our way to Laughlin and grabbed an early lunch of a well-made Arnold Palmer and an ice cold Kiltlifter Draft for thirst quenching. We ordered their incredible rendition of deep-fried mushrooms, the Mushroom Bonanza... incredibly tasty and well prepared. My wife ordered the Classic Angus Burger, perfectly char-broiled medium with the toasted bun filled with tomato, lettuce and onion. I decided on the incredibly delish Southwestern Smoked Stew. This baby was chock full of smoked beef and smoked pork meat with good amount of pepper, corn, tomato and carrots - this stew alone is worth the visit, it was fantastic. The following is an addition that I just made to my Dillons Western trails Ranch review that I've had in the past online and this one is for our dear worker Kasey Today is July 24, 2025. This is for review of a recent and many past experiences spending time at Dillons Western trail Ranch in Morristown, Arizona. I've had the pleasure of spending many hours days and nights, hot summer nights, cold winter nights inside their fun country style western style restaurant or outdoor area where just about any fun thing in the world is gonna happen. I would like to point out one individual that has been very worthy of a nice review and that is Kasey who has been a hostess and greeter at this one location for quite some time now well over a couple years. She's a teenager and when I think back at what I was doing about her age, she has me believing that she is one awesome, attentive, sparkling, jubilant, excited, courteous, helpful, and do it all young individual. Kasey will greet me and believe me I've seen her greet everybody with the same genuine care that I get each and every time that I walk through the door of this restaurant . The first impression that I get is, someone is happy to see me. It's like gee, I haven't seen you for a long time and it might've been just a short time but she gives you that impression that you're welcomed at this fine restaurant establishment. I have grandchildren that are double her age, but she does remind me of a granddaughter, as I believe that the fondness that she has for me And probably every other person she lays eyes on is that of one of much respect. I would guess that her family life is pretty similar to what I see at Dillons Western trails Ranch ~ RESPECT THAT'S WHAT KASEY IS ALL ABOUT. Yeah, pretty much is summed up that if I had a granddaughter as sweet as her, I would consider myself a pretty lucky man.. But instead, I'm considering myself a pretty lucky man to spend time at a restaurant and event center and entertainment venue And know that the people and the person in this case Kasey has greeted me as if I'm family that she is very excited to see. Thank you, my dear Kasey for all the smiles that you've put on this man's face over the many years I've known you behind the counter as I enter the place that you work at. We love Dillions especially during rodeo season . A lot to see and shop petting zoo and the Trump love shouldn't make or break you visiting . The good is PHENOMENAL and all the staff is very nice and welcoming. Roping every weekend and the food trucks added are great too because the restaurant gets slammed . But worth the wait! read more

We came here in our RV and parked in the parking lot through Harvest Host. Went to Dillons for dinner. Amazing what they offer from great food and the service was great. It's a family friendly restaurant that has something for everyone. Outside the restaurant they have a petting zoo with several animals. And on certain nights they have a rodeo. Dillion's is a nice place for entertainment. They have a big stage for music, a little zoo-like area where you can see llamas, alpacas, and other animals for the kids, and of course the roadeo. We had a late lunch here yesterday. The ambiance was great. Fun place to eat and lots to look at. The food tasted good. Not fantastic but still very good. I had a platter of pork ribs, beef ribs, and brisket. My wife had pork ribs, smoked turkey, and burnt ends. Unfortunately, I had a massive gut rush 10 hours later. A couple hours later my wife had the same thing. I'm confident it was this place because we were so full we didn't have dinner. Fun place to visit but we won't eat here again. read more

Went here for Mother's Day. Service and food were great. We had the pulled pork sandwich and All American Burger. Our food came out quickly and the server was friendly and helpful. There was a live band and dancing, but it was a very hot afternoon, so we did stay long after finishing our meals. Petting zoo and rodeo grounds were interesting. We had the most fun visiting this spot!! So much to see here and the food was delicious. The onion rings were fantastic and we had those as an appetizer. I had the burnt ends And my sides were the beans (with meat in them!) and steak fries that have a really nice seasoning! The atmosphere is so fun, we saw huge turtles outside, pigs, chickens and many other animals. I heard that starting November 12 they'll be having horses there again and events going on. My husband and I went there today and arrived shortly after they opened. Service was quick and friendly Unfortunately, the sandwich we ordered (to share) was 1) overpriced; 2) very DRY turkey (must have been from yesterday; definitely not fresh and moist). Good portions (too much for one person) so we shared it but were charged for an extra plate/split meal. Very disappointing to get a bill for $27+ (before tip) for ONE sandwich with fries and two sodas. We also had an issue with flies at our table; DON'T sit near the window (flies love to "hang out" there). LAST BUT NOT LEAST: before paying the bill and leaving there were a few patrons who brought their dogs in (inside); my husband is allergic to cats and dogs. With all of the outdoor seating, it seems it would be best if the patrons with dogs were asked if they would mind sitting at an outside table. I understand if the dog(s) are actual "Service animals" but if that's not the case, they should be allowed only outside. We will probably go there again but will definitely not order the turkey AND not sit near the window. We've been there before and have had better experiences; just felt I needed to mention how our experience was today. Thank you! read more

We went here on 2/16 for my birthday breakfast. We heard they had great chicken fried steak. Well the menu had 9 items. No chicken fried steak. Two items containing chorizo, which I won't eat. French toast and pancakes (I don't do sweets well in the morning with blood sugar levels) So that left 5 menu items. And I really don't like eggs. Hubby was starving so we decided to settle. We ordered bloody Mary's. Which came out not mixed and mine had a hair in it. (Classic huh? I swear I didn't make this up.) Food got there, standard eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. We wanted to try the biscuits and gravy. We couldn't order a half order so went with the two biscuits at $8.99 figuring we could take some home. Hubby's meal came without the toast. (She said because she thought he was using the biscuits, which made no sense, they were an afterthought and we were still charged for both.) Biscuits and gravy were two small (smaller than Grands) tube biscuits covered in COLD gravy. They went home alright and straight to the dogs. Also the whole time we were there a little 9-10 year old was making rounds in the dining room on her motorized hover craft, like it was a roller rink. We out today for the experience knowing it was going to be busy. We arrived around 11:30 am. It took nearly 10 minutes for the server to come over to us. She then took our entire order. She brought back half the drinks the. A few mi urea later brought the rest of them. We ordered appetizers that we wanted to start with. Well, there was no starting with anything, it all came out at once and was barely warm, definitely not hot. The food was fine but the service was crappy. The waitress decided us to just let us sit. Met my brother in law, sister in law, and their friends here for dinner on Sunday night. Had always heard about this place, but this was our first time there. The place is cool! Spacious and spread out. Lot's of things to do for the kids (horseshoes, basketball court, huge chess board etc) and lots to explore. They had fun. Main reason we came here was to eat. We got a seat for the 8 of us inside the actual restaurant (tables outside, too, if you want to dine out there). For dinner, I went with a 3 meat combo to split with my wife. We went with brisket, burnt ends, and St. Louis style ribs. We got mac and cheese for both sides (to give to the kids). We also ordered another side of french fries, and an order of onion rings. My kids split a kids meal hamburger. Here is how the food was..................... 3 Meat Combo- The St. Louis ribs were bomb! Best of the 3 meats, for sure! They give you about a 1/4 rack with the combo (4 bones). The brisket was a leaner cut (no fat) that was sliced really thin. It was decent, but I have had way better elsewhere in Phoenix. The burnt ends were decent, also. I prefer my burnt ends more crispy and charred. Some of these were, some of these were just little cubes of brisket...a bit tough, too. Mac and cheese for the sides went to my kids (they didn't really eat much). Their fries are a big, thick, steak cut fry. Serviceable, but not great. The onion rings were actually pretty tasty, but they came out lukewarm. Decent enough. The meal also came with a roll and some cinnamon whipped butter. Bomb! Real tasty combo. Also, their regular BBQ Sauce was FANTASTIC! One of the best bbq sauces I have ever had in my life. I could drink gallons of that stuff. It had the right amount of sweet, tang, spice etc. It was rather enjoyable on the somewhat pedestrian brisket and burnt ends. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, and the portions are definitely worth the money. Service was good, but it did take quite awhile from the time we ordered, to the time we got our food. Will I be back? Yes indeed! It's only about a 20 minute drive from our house in Surprise. 3 stars for the food, and another star for the entertainment.
