This is such a special place. My hubby and will venture out to Plant Street just to see if Bruno's is open. The oysters are amazing. The owner/chef has an attention to detail and these subtle yummy dishes with high quality ingredients It's also a cute little place to hang out.

Yummy! Delicious fresh and satisfying!

Food and service were excellent! Oysters were fresh and presented on a platter of ice with sauces and lemon. The crackers that accompanied them were flavourful as well. Extremely clean and attentive to sanitary conditions as soon as guests left. I am looking forward to the next visit when I get a craving for good oysters!

Absolutely phenomenal food. The oysters are always fresh and they have an amazing selection of tinned sardines. People need to know about Bruno's!!! If you've never tried oysters come here for sure, but even if you don't like them, the Lamb BLT, bone marrow, and tinned fish are all amazing options as well. So good, definitely come!!

So yummy!!

This is bad. I snarfed down both orders before i could remember to take a pic. The best grilled oysters around. Tried other places, but not as good.

The freshest best oysters and the best shucker, no shell pieces and completely detached iykyk. We have also had the lobster roll here which was excellent. The only negative which is no fault of Bruno's is all the parents that think bringing their wild loud kids to a bar is acceptable. Definitely takes away from the experience. There are plenty of outside seating options.

Liked it, but didn't LOVE it. This little nook is around the corner from the main hall of the Plant Street Market and boasts not only the oysters but also another Crooked Can bar (could be a good secret spot if their other bars get busy). My friend and I went on one of their $30/dozen nights and we paired that assortment with a lobster roll. The oysters all seemed super fresh and enjoyable, and the lobster roll was tasty but kind of forgettable. Will I return? Maybe. Not sure. If I have an out of town guest who wants to stay local to downtown yet yearns for oysters then I'll bring em in.

Bits of shell in every bite.

Was excited to see Stone Crab Claws but the worst presentation I've ever had. Apparently they prepare them using a hammer so you're guaranteed tiny bits of shell in every bite. They also don't offer crab crackers which I have never seen with crab. The lady told me that that's what the PLASTIC mini-fork was for. Apparently you're supposed to be able to get to every bit once they attack it with a hammer but dropped one whole claw just trying to get it open. Definitely wouldn't order crab from here again.

Food: super delicious the lobster roll was perfect sauce to meet ratio. Bun and chips were fresh I loved the duck confit grilled cheese it was super good and the cheese was great! The oysters were amazing we got shigoku and salty lime today I found out I'm an east coast oyster fan!! One of the best parts is the freshly grated horseradish Service: one man show but he makes everything fresh and is a great oyster shucker Ambiance: intimate and nice as we sat by the bar

Absolutely adore Chef Bruno and I've been meaning to check out his little oyster bar at Plant Street Market for awhile now. It's located inside Crooked Can's Barrel Room which is actually disconnected from the main part of the market in the very front of the building. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for some snackys and beer. They serve east & west coast oysters, charcuterie, pate, and more. I got a half dozen oysters for myself (the hubs can't eat them) and he got the bone marrow. He couldn't stop raving about the bread that came with it. The oysters were fresh and delish, and I also really loved their house made saltine crackers that were served with the oysters. Not sure what they did to make them so yummy, but I could eat those all day. We sat at the bar and also ordered a couple brews. I can't remember the name of mine, but it was some sort of grapefruit gose and I really enjoyed it. Everything hit the spot. This is a cozy little corner of Winter Garden that you'll definitely want to check out.

The ambiance is moody and rustic. Service is friendly but quite slow both times I went - likely because they are shucking the oysters by hand and also taking time to cook and prepare the meals. I didn't mind waiting though. This place is awesome. I loved the menu options. Everything I tried here was great but I have a minor qualm about each item I tried. *Oysters - you can never go wrong with oysters but i felt the topping/sauce options could have been better. It came with crackers, vinegar and hot sauce. The horseradish was dry and shredded, very weird texture. I felt like the oysters were missing the most important sauce topping, cocktail sauce. *Bone Marrow - absolutely delicious and melts in your mouth. I ordered two bone marrows for myself and my brother and I was expecting half per person but once serving is a whole bone cut in half, so two half pieces. The bread on the side was delicious but it was also drenched in olive oil. I felt that since bone marrow is already very fatty and oily, the bread needed to be dry, but since it was drenched in oil too, it didn't balance out well - maybe add less olive oil next time? Regardless, it was still very delicious! The capers and onions and seasoning on top were perfect. *Lobster roll - I love a solid lobster roll and this one was unique. Not the best I've had but I still enjoyed it. This lobster also included chunks of celery too, it felt more like a lobster salad. The roll was toasted dry and I felt like it was missing butter to create that buttery toasted crust. I like this place a lot, but I don't love it. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because each item was missing something very important to make the meal excel more. Nonetheless, I'll be back for more! And I still enjoyed both times I visited.

Lobster roll

Stop by and wanted to check out Bruno's oysters and it did not disappoint. We ordered 2 dozen oysters and a lobster roll. The oysters we had gotten a variety and it was pretty decent. I did however enjoyed the lobster roll. The roll was toasted well and and the big chunks of lobster were tasty. Glad they didn't over do it on the house aioli. Service was quick.

Sweet petite oysters

We love visiting Plant Street Market when we are in town and was thrilled to see this place open up. I mean who doesn't love oysters and beer?! We ordered a dozen sweet petite oysters and a lobster roll. I alone ended up eating an entire dozen of the oysters because they were so good. The watermelon vinaigrette was incredible! So we had to order another dozen so my husband could have some. My husband was obsessed with the lobster roll. It was super meaty and filling. Staff was also great! Very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit this place again the next time we're in town.

Dozen oysters. 2 of each

Just had a great experience here at Bruno's Oysters. Was able to try 6 different oysters in their dozen special. The otters choice was the best by far! Clean, crisp, and full of flavor. Only negative is that we wished the oysters were labeled when ordering multiples. Will be back!

For a bucket of raw oysters makes this place the most affordable place to get oysters. With your oysters. You get a bag of crackers and your own personal shucker. We've had the same server the last two times and I'm kicking myself for not knowing her name. But she is awesome. She does a great job of getting all of the oysters out of the shells and record time and she is always chatting with us. In addition to the bucket of oysters, we have also tried the fried oysters and the seafood boil. Fried oysters but the seafood boil was delicious. If you want they also have other menu options if you're not craving oysters. Our last visit I found a big Pearl and one of my oysters which is a rarity. So I felt very lucky. Lucky that I didn't chip my tooth from chomping on it. LOL They do have two types of hot sauces and can give you butter if you'd like some. They also give you horseradish to go with your oysters. Sadly, they did not have any soy sauce. Don't judge. If you're craving oysters at a reasonable price, head down to Lee and Rick's oyster bar. And get there before the rush from the tourists who go to the parks nearby.

Now we wanted to get the day started early for my birthday so we can go to all the excursions we had planned. It was a little confusing because it's no instructions and it wasn't anyone standing to assist you by the counter so we asked customers on how to be seated? They instructed us to choose a table and then someone will come out to help you. So we decided to sit by the pool area so we could view the beautiful water because we were on the beach side. The wait wasn't long after we all sat down. We started off with a cup of Starbucks coffee and fruits. We then ordered the American Breakfast which consisted of of 3 eggs , bacon , sausage, potatoes and toast. When I tell you the eggs were cooked to perfection. The bacon was cooked just right and not over crispy and it had like a maple taste. The sausage links were good but if it was my choice I would have had more bacon. The toast was sourdough bread which I love the taste of toasted sourdough with some cream cheese. The breakfast was really good. The price range was very decent for a hotel restaurant because they usually overcharge you but it was around $8-$19. They also had apple, grape and grapefruit juice. Will I try another hotel restaurant yes because I gave the experience a second chance which turned out to be very good.
