The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The bartenders and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the menu had so many great options. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller and raw oysters -- all from New Orleans -- and they were absolutely delicious. Next time, I would definitely try the fried oysters as well. I had the crab cake, which was huge and packed with crab meat with very little filler, exactly how a great crab cake should be. My husband ordered the fish tacos, and they were equally delicious. Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely return for dinner again if we are ever back in the area!

For the pre fix we tried the lobster ( chewy) the mini scallops which were a good portion and value although I did not love the seasoning the crab cake was dry and bland but no celery so yay no allergic reaction for me The mushroom stuffed crab was good The grilled tuna was good as well luckily sauce was on the side The crab legs were cold but a good portion. The desert was disappointing and they wouldn't switch the pre fix dessert for the birthday kid which considering how many of us there were they cuda made it happen for her. Come back for the oysters and the fish bowls.

The staff kindly packed up our leftovers for us, but when I got home and opened the bag, I realized some of the untouched dishes weren't included. It was a bit of a bummer since we were looking forward to enjoying them later. Even with that hiccup, the food was outstanding and definitely worth the visit. If you're a dim sum lover, this place deserves a spot on your list!

The place is elegantly decorated with an Asian theme. However, some of the benches attached to the booths had worn out upholstery. Our server, Yumi (spelling?) was polite and efficient. We had the salt and pepper squid appetizer. It was plentiful and great with the accompanying sauce. However, we didn't like the breading. And I dared to bite into one of the peppers that accompanied it and it set my mouth on fire. For dinner we had the Szechuan scallops and the XO fish. The scallops were tasty and the dish had lots of broccoli, peppers, and mushrooms. The sauce was a bit sweeter than we expected. The XO fish sauce was very similar to the Szechuan sauce and though the fish was a tad salty, it was still savory. The asparagus that accompanied that dish was chopped (easier to eat) and there were plenty of sweet snap peas and bell peppers. We adore snow pea tips and were in the mood for lots of veggies. So, we got an order to accompany our meals. We did take home most of it, along with lots of broccoli (for me) from the Szechuan scallops. We were treated to a complimentary Chinese-style dessert made with peeled split mung beans and thickened with tapioca starch into a gooey, translucent pudding that was served warm. Our meal of 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 order of veggies, a pot of tea, tax, and tip was $138.

Updating this review from about seven years ago. I came to Reel Fish a while ago, and it was a…read moretruly awful experience. The skimpy amount of seafood I got was not good, not cooked well, or served with undercooked potatoes. It shook me. Especially for a Winter Park restaurant. After my five year statute of limitations passed on repeating restaurants, I looked for the perfect opportunity to come back and try again. I found that opportunity recently with a few friends for brunch. Their brunch menu looked amazing, so we made our reservation and came on by. Ambiance is actually really nice. Right off one of the main WP roads, gigantic windows look out upon the street as passersby roam from shop to shop. Inside looks like an ocean-side sea shack, but an upper middle class one. Very nice little ocean-themed chotchkies adorn the walls, very cozy. Service was also great. Very nice server, very prompt food delivery, and they gave complimentary bread with a delightful butter. I always adore free bread. We started off sharing the Seafood Fritters (Four savory puppies, stuffed with lobster, shrimp, scallops, clams, grouper, onions, corn, poblano peppers, served with a zesty tartar sauce). If all five of those seafoods really were in there, there must have been only a few molecules each, but there was undoubtedly flavors from most of that list, and they were accentuated with the poblano. Topped with that zesty tartar, and this was an A+ app. I had the Lobster Benedict Royale (Chunks of Maine lobster on fried green tomatoes & house-baked buttermilk biscuits, topped with poached eggs & Hollandaise, sprinkled with paprika & chopped green onions). This was indulgent. Pure luxury. A warm biscuit with a good flakiness, that fried green tomato with the perfect thickness and thin, delicate coating, and those perfectly cooked jumbo chunks of lobster on top, all covered in an unctuous Hollandaise. Exactly as it sounds, as advertised, the perfect seafood brunch item. I also got to try the Shrimp Frittata (Wild-caught Florida shrimp, fresh eggs, spinach, Campari tomatoes, goat cheese, caramelized onions, baked in a cast-iron skillet, with wheat toast, butter & a little mixed green salad). This was a fun dish. Good shrimps, well-cooked eggs, a nice tang from that goat, and of course a nice crunchy toast to help make it even more interesting. I didn't like that random salad on the side. Just get bigger cast irons and make the frittata bigger. Overall, what a redemption. I'm not sure what was wrong back in the day, but this is a five star place now that I will happily return to when it's time.

Feels somewhat like a small-town diner. The menu has awesome choices, but there's a ton of stuff that is $30+ (several $50+) and I really didn't want to spend that much on lunch. I picked a snapper sandwich with a side caesar & my friend got a shrimp quesadilla. They came out about 10-15 mins later. price seemed a bit high, but i know costs have skyrocketed lately, so them's the breaks. The fish on my sandwich was flavorful - but very dry. Would have been better cooked with some kind of fat. The bread was fluffy & nice, but fell apart right away. The veggies in the sandwich were fresh & bright. The caesar side was amazing. they gave me tartar & ketchup, so i asked for cocktail sauce because ketchup is weird for this. No problem. I didn't even finish half because it was so big! My friend's quesadilla was very tasty, but for some reason, it's an absolute oil slick. So the opposite end of the spectrum lol. She enjoyed it but couldn't finish because it was too greasy. There was a thick layer of oil on the plate and on the quesadilla. The ladies working there are really nice & helpful. They checked on us several times. I paid really fast & they got us out the door in less than 45 minutes! I would love to get some of the fancier stuff sometime, but would probably want to eat it elsewhere, because the diner feel doesn't match how fancy the food is. But overall, great experience with the asterisk being the cooking styles & plain appearance. I thought i got pics but can't find them now, but the presentation was great.

Walking in, I was greeted by a friendly young gentleman. I had placed a to-go order and within minutes, my food was handed to me. I had ordered the grouper with fried rice and vegetable medley and the calamari appetizer. I have to say that both the grouper and calamari were excellent. The fried rice and vegetable medley were also pretty amazing. The prices here are very good. The grouper plate was about twenty-two dollars and the calamari was about eighteen dollars. The quality of the food could definitely rival more expensive restaurants. I will definitely have to return here and I will give it five stars for an incredible meal.
