'Tis the season... SUMMER SEASON that is! This place has a TON of flavors and they were generous with the samples. I was torn between the few I tried but ultimately went with the chocolate fudge one and it did NOT disappoint!! I'm still drooling and I was there 4 days ago! It's mostly a to go ice cream shop so you order at the window and they have tables outside you can eat but they do have an indoor table as well. Only thing is, they keep the door locked so they have to open the door for you and lock it again once you are inside. Samples happily given and I tried the butter pecan, death by chocolate which has chocolate chip and brownie chunks in it, and the salted toffee. All were delicious and I ended up with death by chocolate in a homemade cone. Love the cone holder that comes with the ice cream. My friend got the white chocolate shake. Great ice cream and fun flavors! Bruster's was highly recommended by my friends who regularly drive from SJ to get their ice cream fix. This location is order at the window and go. There's no indoor seating but they have some tables out front with umbrellas. Their seasonal flavors stand out from other shops which is cool and they do give out samples :). I decided on chocolate peanut butter chip and it's probably one of the best I've had! They didn't skimp with the peanut butter chocolate candy mixed in. The ice cream tasted fresh and was at the perfect temp so it wasn't rock hard or drippy. Very disappointed in the fact the manager/owner does not have a direct way to be contacted. A special for first day of summer was advertised on their Instagram page, but was not honored. Employee's stated they didn't have a way to give the deal to customers. They also told us they tried to contact their manager earlier in the day, but never got a response. They stated that it is normal for the manager to not be present in the store or for the employees. The ice cream may taste good, but there's ice cream spots that are better ran (with great ice cream) right here in Fremont. read more

It may be a little pricey for most people, but that's just because the quality is so good! Don't come here: false advertising and poor management. Let me say first that we had NO issues with the staff and they were very sympathetic to our issue. They tried to accommodate us as best they could. We've come to Bruster's before, but came specifically on June 20th for their advertised 2 for $12 small cone "Start of Summer" deal. When we went up to order, the staff shared that they haven't been able to fulfill the deal for any customers the entire day due to it not being available in their PoS machine. They've been trying to contact management and haven't heard anything. As a previous manager at a food establishment, I find it to be grossly negligent to abandon your store and staff on a big promotional day. If this is how management treats and supports their staff, they don't deserve my business. When we changed our orders since the deal couldn't be honored, the pricing on the register was higher than the listed price on the menu. Again, another case of false advertising. To my understanding, an advertised price must be honored, but again, the staff doesn't have the ability to do so. I would say we won't be coming back til management fixes their issues, but we decided we won't be back ever. read more

I ordered a small ice cream but that looks like a medium sized ice cream that you usually get from a typical ice cream store. It's very delicious and melts in my mouth. I came here because we went to Special Noodle across the street. It was a Dad/Son date. After my son gorged himself on dumplings I opted to see if he wanted ice cream. The key for here for us was that they had Graham Central Station. I'm not sure who came up with it first but my gold standard is Handel's Ice Cream. After getting it here, I can say that this is a great alternative (for that flavor) compared to driving an hour to the Walnut Creek Handel's that just opened up. We also got the Death by Chocolate, which was also very good. I wish they had a mud pie flavor, but hopefully soon. The staff was very helpful and nice to us. Helped us with getting in to their inside eating area. That is what led to my two gripes (and the -1 star). The inside seating area was super hot. Almost like a Sauna. I imagine it's because of the massive amounts of freezers giving off heat and my guess is the owner doesn't want to run the AC. I'm speculating to be honest. It was a bit of a bummer. I'm not sure if this is what led to my second gripe. The ice cream was a little melty. Not dripping when we got it, but very soft. A minor thing but still something to note. The gal that took or order was not very helpful. I asked if I could only order a single scoop as opposed to 2 scoops as advertised and she said "no." Then I ask "...is two scoops the minimum you're able to do?" And she said "yes."
