This place has really gone down. First, we pull up in the parking lot and the gazebo was grungy looking in need of pressure washing and a fresh coat of paint. Needless to say, eating outside was not an option. The young lady at the counter was sweet but it was clear that she needed more training. I am deeply concerned about the usage of gloves here and proper handwashing prior to getting gloves. I had to request that gloves were used. A sample was prepared for me with an employee touching the cone with no gloves. The manager finally said something and later her hands were washed after she already touched a new pair of gloves. She was so sweet and said it was only her 2nd day. The manager came out with food remnants all over his hands and proceeded to go to the register to try to help her enter my gift card. He said he couldn't use it and denied a brand new gift card. I was treating my mother and decided to bite the bullet. The cake on the short cake was better than the ice cream which was a little too soft for me like I wonder about the temperature of the ice cream freezer. Even my sample on the spoon was pretty drippy. It's hot outside but before it hit the window it was already pretty melted. It wasn't appealing. I called corporate and I was told that it's independently owned. They have to have better quality control protocols or the brand will quickly lose its reputation. Stood in line for over ten minutes with two couples in front of me. No one ever came to the window even though there was two people there and only one was working. The one who was working cut the lights off while we were all still standing there. Then opened the window and told us we were at the wrong window. Something she could've said 15 minutes prior. Her excuse was she thought everyone in line knew that they were standing at the wrong window and she didn't think it was her job to inform a line of people that the line should be at a different window. read more

We visited the location on Whittlesey in Columbus Georgia and received ice cream that was completely melted as soon as we received it. When my husband brought this to the attention of the staff, the lady said it was because it was fresh and would not give him our money back! This is NOT fresh! Once again, I should have read the reviews before coming here so I suggest you do that as the ice cream AIN'T CHEAP!! I brought my mom here for her birthday. She got a double scoop in a waffle cone. She started off saying she didn't want a chocolate cone but then she said "it taste kinda burnt" but she was enjoying the butter pecan that she overlooked it. When she got to the strawberry she was disappointed as the butter pecan had pieces of pecan swirled in whereas the strawberry was just pink flavored ice cream. Note I got a scoop of lemon sherbet and it was good but at almost $5, I was left wanting more. Next day, she wanted more butter pecan so I take her back (my lady is 80, she gets whatever she wants) and these 3 scoops is less than the two scoops from the previous night. The ice cream didn't even go all the way down inside of the cone. Don't get me wrong, the ice cream is mostly good but when you can go into the grocery store next door and buy a gallon of ice cream for what you are paying for a few scoops, those scoops need to be the best scoops EVER!! read more

Reviewed the list and made our choices. Child's chocolate cone with m&ms and choc chips. The girl taking our order had to see if they could had the toppings and finally said they did. It was givin in a cup and not cone he asked for so got a cone and put it in myself.The cost for a child's scoop with toppings was $7.74. See picture definitely not worth the money. When I questioned this I was dismissed and said that is what it is. Husband ordered sea salt caramel toffee, they did not have. He got Oreo instead. He said it was okay. I wanted the sea salt too but then changed my order to Reese's peanut butter cup, did not have. When I recommended they up date the sign I got a pretty blank stare. Then asked for white raspberry truffle, did not have. She said that they had chocolate raspberry which wasn't what I really wanted but at this point I was frustrated so I went ahead and got. This Bruster's has been around since I was in high school and that was YEARS AGO! I've been taking my kids the last few months for a sweet treat without having to get out the car. Sometimes the line is a little longer but like anything if it's worth having you just gotta be a little patient! The menu has definitely expanded to sorbets and vegan options. So there's a little bit for everyone. I haven't had a bad experience the ice creams always taste like they should and the portion is more then enough to be satisfied with what you order! First of all there were a bunch of cars and there were only three workers...One of them wasn't doing anything but just sitting around and then they told us that "drive thru only because they were short of workers"...Like if you want to be lazy just tell me that and don't make up a lie.. that is not the worst part. The worst part was that when a person of their race walks up it was a couple she seriously just took there order right in front of me.. Mind you I am Hispanic and she thought she could just do that in my face just because of my skin color... By far the worst day of my life. I went there on July 3rd to try out their new flavor of the month and guess what? They didn't have it!! It completely blew my mind! Exactly how can a company not have the flavor of the month of the THIRD day of the month??!! This review is regarding the Bruster's ice cream on Mt. Zion Blvd. in Jonesboro location. We paid $11.25 for a one scoop waffle bowl and a cup with one scoop of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. The scoop in the waffle bowl wasn't even a full scoop. The scoop of ice cream in the cup had more chocolate syrup (which we paid extra for) than ice cream. It seems like they went up on the prices, but decreased the amount of ice cream in a scoop. read more

I love Brusters, but this location is going through changes where they are trying to find ways to cut corners. I've been a long time fan of banana split Thursdays where you get half off when you bring your own banana. However, a few changes have been made at this particular location as of this week. At this location hot fudge now counts as two toppings and banana splits now come with 2 1/2 scoops ice cream instead of 3. The sundae is noticeably smaller. The staff is friendly here, the location is convenient to I-75 and they have a drive thru. They just make your sundae different from other locations in an attempt to cut corners/save money and it's disappointing especially since they don't let you know about any of the changes up front. They also asked for payment before making the banana splits, which was never required at this location previously or at any other Brusters location I've ever been to. I'd go to a different location next time even though this one is more convenient. read more

My fiancé and I stopped by after a hike for something cool. I'm lactose intolerant and was impressed with the sherbet options. When we drove up to the service window, the cashier noticed our dog babies in the backseat and offered them sundaes for no additional charge. Very disappointed drivethru has a bad view they have branches on the drivers side and if your not careful it will leave scratches on the side of your vehicle. My boyfriend decided to pick up an ice cream cake on a hot afternoon. The store was out of vanilla and yellow cake so he opted for butter pecan with yellow cake. My first bite told me the cake had been sitting in the store for a while. The ice cream literally tasted like the box. we tried to make the best of it considering the cake was $26, but even my boyfriend was disappointed. Baskin Robins or Dairy Queen always have fresh cakes. So if that's what you're looking for I would try those two first. I will say i do enjoy the ice cream here.
