Easily one of the worst dining experiences in the area. We visited in the late afternoon when the restaurant was only moderately busy, yet the service was painfully slow and disorganized. It took 40 minutes to receive a room-temperature calamari appetizer, followed by another 20 minutes for baked ziti and a custom pizza. Instead of addressing the obvious breakdown in service, the shift manager's solution was to offer to comp the entire check. That doesn't fix the problem--it avoids it. We declined and paid for what was actually brought to the table. Meanwhile, multiple tables around us were served their appetizers and full meals while we were told the kitchen was "backed up" and no food was coming out--which was clearly not true. The shift manager later mentioned she was new, which only highlighted the lack of training and oversight. It didn't get better with the food. We were told the pizza sauce comes straight from a can, so we asked for olive oil and garlic instead. What arrived was a sloppy mix of sauce and oil--not olive oil as requested. To the owners: this is what happens when staff are undertrained and ingredient quality is neglected. The pizza--topped with a careless pile of pepperoni--says everything about the standards here. Avoid if you value your time or money.

We absolutely love Zucca's. Fun vibe, TVs at the booth, Trivia, Good drinks at good prices, good food and service! One of our favorite go to spots!

THE CRUSH IT & CLEAR IT CHALLENGE Progression!

We decided to grab a late lunch and I was really craving pasta! dinner and since we were already at the Market Village, naturally we decided on Zucca! When you walk in, the ambiance is hipster casual with a hint of upscale. You are greeted with the smell of deliciousness and the sounds of old school crooners, like Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole. The booths have tvs with remotes so my husband was in heaven! The food was so good, I had the pasta carbonara which was so delicious, the cream sauce paired so well with that noodles and the peas. My husband decided to do the challenge! He ate this HUGE smash burger and tots! It was fun watching him struggle but he finished! Watch the videos posted for his progress! My daughter had the burger sliders with sweet potato fries. We really enjoyed the meal and our server's name was Gabrielle and she was amazing! We will definitely be coming back! Only issue that made me a little sad, no dogs but they have a beautiful patio. Oh well maybe one day I can bring my furbabies too! Note - As of now only service animals allowed.

Sausage, Kale, Sausage & Fettuccini

The vibes of this place are great! I can totally see myself coming with a group of friends to hang out and get food together. ALSO each booth has its own tv which I thought was so cool! The server was really nice and the food came really quickly (I did come on a random Tuesday night though). I got the kale and sausage fettuccine and although the dish was super simple, it was delicious! My favorite part of the dish was the fettuccine itself, I could tell it was fresh and handmade, not store bought! The sauce was very light and I didn't feel blegh after eating which I can sometimes after eating a heavy meal. The portions were very generous. This is a great spot!

The best adjective I can use to describe Zucca Bar & Pizzeria would be AwesomeMazingTacular! Yes... That is my word! My afternoon started with getting Ice Cream for Friend Day. After a few hours, was time for dinner. I searched Yelp and landed on Zucca Bar & Pizzeria. As I had never been, I was excited as always to try somewhere new. Upon driving up to the location, I was taken by the beautiful scenery of the town center itself. The classic design aesthetic captures you and draws your mind to a place of peace and pure enjoyment. I was able to find parking quickly and headed to Zucca Bar & Pizzeria. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the young man at the host stand. He welcomed us in and advised us that they were currently only serving the late-night menu. To be fair, it was after 10 pm, so I was fine with that. LoL! Once he greeted us, he provided us with the menus and told us we could sit at the bar or anywhere we would like. As such, we decided to sit in a booth. Within moments of sitting down, we were greeted by Joe (I believe that was his name). He introduced himself and let us know that he and the other person on the floor would be assisting us. With that, he took our drink order and gave us time to review the menu. Though the late-night is minimal, there are still quite a few options so don't be discouraged from doing a late-night visit. I decided to get the: Buffalo Chicken Sandwich (Fried) grilled or fried chicken tossed in tavern buffalo sauce, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion Ooh! When I say FRESH... I mean FRESHHHHHHHHHH!!!! The chicken was juicy and fried to perfection. The sauce-to-chicken ratio was spot on, and the fixings were very very fresh. The fixings were so fresh that they enhanced every single bite of the sandwich. Furthermore, the hoagie roll that it comes on is soooooooooooo good. I'm talking about fresh out the over type of fresh baked good. I got the sandwich with a side of tater tots and without me having to even say anything, guess what... They were golden crisp and fried to perfection as well with a crispy outside and soft center. Whew! This was def a late-night meal for the books. Oh yeah, and the Sweet Tea... You know I love me a Sweet Tea! It was the bombbbbbbbbbb... Sweet, Fresh, and great brew to sugar ratio. The service provided by all of the staff was amazing. The restaurant was super clean, very spacious with indoor and outdoor seating, and whoever had control of the playlist was not playing any games. I'm talking hit after hit of good song selections. In case you can't tell... I'll be back VERY Soon. LoL!!!!

Pictures here are from 2 visits within the past 2 weeks. I really like this place! I will most definitely be back- specifically for the garlic knots!!! They are seriously the best I've ever had. I'll be ordering them every time I come. I wasn't crazy about the chicken Parmesan Stromboli from my last visit (it was just really dry and didn't have much flavor) but the baked ziti was really good yesterday. Cake tasted great too. I like the vibes inside. The outdoor area could use a little work to make it feel more "home-y" during the winter but it isn't bad (no decor, lots of supplies sitting around etc.) Our servers both this week and last were courteous. Last night it took us a while to get our check which I'm not really a fan of, but I understand the servers get busy. Zucca is located in the downtown Smyrna village area so parking can be kinda difficult on weekends but there is overflow parking available around the back of the shops and restaurants. The area is very nice to walk around. If you have a wait, you can sit by the fountain outside etc. Overall there could be some little improvements but my friends and I have enjoyed our visits lately :)

Sicilian slice with Italian sausage and tomato

I've passed by this spot so many times but never actually made my way inside. My kiddos and I were visiting the Smryna Handmade Market and since it was time for lunch it was a no brainer to grab some food. It was a little after 1 on a good ol football Sunday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. I did notice that it is rather dark inside but the outside patio area was the perfect place to hang with plenty of sun coming through. The hostess was super sweet and helped me maneuver my way through the restaurant with my kiddos and stroller in tow. The waitress was so kind and friendly and did a lovely job checking on us and making sure we had what we needed. The menu is full of the usually suspects found at a pizza spot and I decided to grab a Sicilian slice off the lunch menu with tomato and Italian sausage with a side Caesar salad. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza off the kids menu and fries for my kiddos and that pizza slice was huge. The food was delicious and very cost-friendly. The salad was a lot bigger than what I expected for a side and it left me rather full which is a good thing. The Sicilian slice was a decent size and while I took most of it home, I liked that it wasn't sure bready and drenched in tomato sauce. There was also a generous amount of toppings which I appreciated. A really great first time experience and I'm sure we'll be back soon! Kudos to being family friendly!

Large Pesto Sausage and we added mushrooms. Yum!
Samantha L.

We ordered the Mussels as an appetizer because they were out of the Trout Dip that particular day. The mussels were really good! The mussels were big and were sautéed with olive oil, capers, tomato, white wine, garlic, basil, and comes with ciabatta toast. For dinner we ordered the large Pesto Sausage pizza and added mushrooms. That pizza was also very tasty. Overall, our experience was positive and we will definitely come back for sure! Try it, you won't be disappointed!

So i usually go to a mediterranean restaurant nearby quite often. One day I was passing by this…read moreplace. So I stopped in to glance at their menu. I looked, saw a few things that peaked my interest, promised I'd come back and give them a try. So today was that day. I walked in and was quickly seated. A lady arrived shortly with some bread. My waiter soon arrived with a menu and took my drink order. I was trying to decide if I was gonna have spaghetti with Italian sausage or something called pappardelli Pompeii. So I did the best next thing. I ask my waiter for his recommendation. He recommended the pappardelli Pompeii. So while i waited for my food. I tried the bread. The bread was perfect. A crispy crust while the inside was soft. My dinner came with a salad. I chose the Ceasar salad. The greens were fresh, croutons were tastee. Seems like it was a little lite on the dressing. I'm sure they would have brought more if i had ask for it. The dish i ordered arrived as soon as I finish my salad. I appreciated that little detail. That means my main dish stayed warm while I enjoyed my salad. A little detail restaurants sometimes forget. The main dish came loaded with lots of sliced Italian sausage and pepper. The eggs noodles were great. My waiter even brought me more bread upon request. Now when im in the area I will have a hard decision to make. Do I want Italian or do I want mediterranean. I will definitely be returning.

Ordered takeout and the food was mediocre at best. Had the salmon sub Caesar salad for potato's…read more Salmon was cooked to right temp but was so bland. A little bit of salt and pepper made it decently edible. Also they charged $4 upcharge for substitute and the salad was so basic and they gave me some random vinaigrette instead of the correct dressing. Husband had gnocchi that was good but again the protein was very bland. Wanted to try something new but we will not be back. Subpar and flavorless food. I'm sure there are much better Italian spots in atlanta

This could be the best pizza in the ATL area. Let me try a few more spots and I'll get back you on…read morethat. But this was a REALLY GOOD PIE! 5/5

I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience warrants one…read more My husband and I have been loyal customers of MTH Pizza for years. We've happily paid what is, frankly, a premium price for pizza and wings because the food has traditionally been worth it. But tonight was a complete breakdown in customer service--and likely the end of the road for us. We placed a simple online order (one pizza and two dozen wings) at 5:30pm with a promised pickup time of 6:00pm. My husband arrived at 6:05pm and waited in line, only to be told the order wasn't ready. After standing there for another 25 minutes, he got back in line. When the cashier recognized him, she asked his name and then said, "Let me get a manager." At that point, he watched the manager hurriedly assemble and package our order on the spot. No explanation. No apology. Just a dismissive "thank you for your patience" before moving on to the next customer. Meanwhile, he observed a steady stream of delivery service orders being prioritized and sent out while he stood there waiting. Let's be clear: if you order through delivery apps like Uber Eats or DoorDash, you're already paying a significant markup--easily 25% more. So tonight, we made the effort to order direct and pick up ourselves, thinking we'd save money and have a better experience. Instead, we waited longer, received worse service, and still ended up with subpar food. By the time my husband got home (we live just 2.5 miles away), everything was lukewarm. We had to reheat our entire meal before we could even sit down to eat. Not exactly how you want to spend a Friday night. For a restaurant that charges premium prices, the expectation is basic: timely service, transparency when something goes wrong, and at minimum, an apology. None of that happened here. We've supported this restaurant--and its sister concept Muss & Turner's--for over 15 years. That loyalty clearly means nothing. If I could give zero stars, I would. This felt like a complete rip-off. The owners should spend a Friday night behind the counter and see firsthand what customers are experiencing: disorganization, lack of accountability, and a clear prioritization of delivery apps over the people standing right in front of them. Shame on you.
