    Belgian waffles

Always been the best for their belgian waffle in town! Their maple syrup is the key to open the sweet gates of heaven monica and norma is the great workers here in south coast plaza. Always my go to spot in collage for my waffles. It has plenty of sitting so I recommend this place after you shop in Bloomingdales. If you want a moist and crunchy outside waffles this is it! No bs.

This Bruxie location is in the fancy food court (the collage) of the South Coast Mall. You can access it from the parking lot without any impulse buying. It's on the parking level but the restrooms are downstairs. The food here is divine. Get the Nutella shake! Their "to-go" service is hoppin. Ample portions and delish! It was cute and busting with personality. Enjoy!

It's a really long time since we had Bruxie and decided to get a quick snack with the kids. I don't remember how the waffles were over 10 years ago but I was really enjoying the texture of the waffle. It was nice and crispy and a bit chewy. Bruxie is located upstairs next to paradise dynasty and at the entrance of collage food hall. A quick easy meal/snack if you're in the area or at South Coast Plaza

The original sandwich 7/10, good but kinda too wet and sticky not too much structure. Wouldn't crave it. Service was quick but we were also the only ones here on a Wednesday afternoon.

The Original Fried Chicken & Waffle w/ Waffle Fries (Top) & Buffalo Tender Bites (Bottom)

I haven't heard of Bruxie since its location was closed down in Huntington Beach! I wanted to try it out again and see what other items they have! I got the Buffalo Tender Bites while my boyfriend got The Original Fried Chicken & Waffle w/ Waffle Fries. Best part about our meal was the crispy, light fries! Seasoned perfectly and had the most satisfying crunch where we were fighting for the last piece. My tender bites tasted like boneless buffalo wings (basically nuggets) and the chicken was so juicy. The sauce got kinda heavy where my boyfriend and I were taking turns downing our water. Overall, it's a solid chicken and waffle shop that I wouldn't mind coming back and trying out the other items they have.

    Super Cluck Waffle Sandwich

This location is inside a food hall in the corner of the mall complex. Fair amount of seats in the area around the restaurant with interesting and bright decor Service was an average/reasonable time and servers were nice. Ordered the Super Cluck waffle sandwich which had fried chicken, bacon, an egg, and syrup. It was good, but nothing too crazy. Chicken not super crispy or moist, but is fair and still tasty. It's a relatively messy sandwich to eat with the syrup and egg dripping everywhere, but luckily there were wet wipes at an area near where I was sitting. After tax, the sandwich came out to almost $20, which in my opinion is a little overpriced. Portion size wasn't amazing either Overall, I'd rate it a 6.5/10. It was enjoyable, but value is not there and did not blow me away with the flavor. Cool to try, but may not come again.

    THE CRISPY

Bruxie at South Coast Plaza is located in Bloomingdale's along with other vendors. We ordered The Crispy, tenders, loaded waffle fries, and a grilled chicken salad. The CRISPY sandwich was well seasoned perhaps a tad too salty for me however it was nicely crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Honestly $13 for just the chicken sandwich (no fries and no drink) is wild to me. The Nashville hot TENDERS were tasty and not hot at all, just mild and the waffle fries were very good. The LOADED WAFFLE FRIES were delicious and coated in sauce and bacon bits. Plentiful to share. GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD could feed two people. The dressing was drizzled on and topped off with avocado slices, a sliced hard boiled egg, diced tomatoes, cheese, and bacon bits. Two chicken sandwiches, 3 tenders, loaded waffle fries, and a salad was a whopping $70. Dipping sauce was .60

It's been years since I've had Bruxie, their menu has changed from what I remember. I got a chicken waffle sandwich and waffle fries and it was a solid meal. Hit the spot. No notes. Service was decently quick. Their water dispenser was empty for a while so I couldn't get water. Casual ambiance in a food court type of setting with plenty of tables.

    COUNTRY SAUSAGE & EGG

My son loves this place! We've been going to Bruxie's for years, ever since it opened in Orange. However, this was the first time I've ever received a sandwich with burnt sausage. It wasn't even busy, as we were among the first people there this morning. To add to that, the ticket time was longer than usual, even though there was only one couple ahead of us. Still love this place, but just disappointed in my breakfast today.

Got my hands on one of their waffle sandwiches and it HIT. The waffle was perfectly soft while still slightly crispy and the fried chicken was so well seasoned, and gloriously moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Paired with the Cole slaw and the sweet dressing on top, it was delightful!! Was never a fan of chicken and waffles but Bruxie's has converted me for sure!!

    SUPER CLUCK!
    Doc P.

Now this spot knows how to do some chicken and waffles!! I got the super cluck and it was really good!! The waffle is nice and flaky, juicy chicken and topped with a fried egg. Their orange shake was good too. Tastes like an orange creamsicle

This place is definitely giving your local waffle connoisseur a run for their money ! Came to this location because I wanted to see if it was worth the hype and they definitely get a A+ in my books!! I have has been to several Asian countries that he and I both agree that this waffle has a different kind of texture that is similar to some form of fusion of your traditional American waffle with street Asian fried food batter It's definitely unique and in its own lane as far as waffles currently on the market in the US ! It was very flaky and delicious and the portions were just right ! The service was very pleasant and quick ! It is located in the food court within the mall so the ambience honestly just depends on how pack the surrounding locations are, but it was very clean and well kept . The food and service was definitely a five out of five I will be back to this location when in the area

CHICKEN AND WAFFLES with additional chicken tender
    Nikki N.

We used to go to the one in Irvine. We ordered chicken and waffle ($13)with an additional piece of chicken tender ($3). The Belgian waffle recipe was different but much more crispier. The previous version was already good, especially when it included the sugar pearls. The current version sadly left out the pearl sugar, but I felt there might be cheese added to the crust. I think it was a little too crunchy, but it'll definitely pair well with syrup and heavy topping. Chicken tenders were well seasoned and not dry. They are of medium size so it wasn't overly heavy. The lady who helped us was patient enough, but could be a little friendlier. We only waited about 10 minutes to get our food, which was great. In the previous Irvine location, it'd normally take 15-25 minutes so I didn't like going while hangry. I'll come back for sure.

Service is good. Cute spot/ambiance. Food is not my favorite. Waffle is very thin, chicken is heavily breaded. Tough to eat.

The food was excellent. We had the protein omelette and the breakfast burrito. The protein omelette was strong, and the Jurassic pork (sweet and savory seasoned bacon) stole the show there. Toast and fruit was well made and fresh. The burrito was where things went to the next level. Steak AND bacon in a burrito in this economy? Unbelievable. It was so rich and heavy I almost couldn't finish it. They didn't overcompensate for a lack of meat and eggs with a bunch of potatoes. The whole burrito was well balanced in that respect. The beans were excellent, and the cherry on top was the fresh made red chile salsa. It tied the whole experience together perfectly. Finally, the coffee was excellent as well, the only caveat being that we actually got our food before our coffee (only one barista was behind the bar and she was pretty backed up). Wonderful brunch experience, I will be back.

A baker's dozen soon enough. We ate: California Breakfast Burrito - comes with carne asada, pico de gallo infused guac, house potatoes, eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, and sour cream. served with rice, black beans and salsa on the side. Pretty substantial and filling. Rooster Flight - the menu says choose any 3 french toast or pancakes. But you can't choose any limited-time special pancakes, so just mix and match from the regular menu. I got the brioche French toast, which was buttery. The Churro Pancake was a heavy dose of cinnamon sugar, fair warning. I liked the Strawberry Cheesecake Pancake with the cheesecake cream, graham cracker crumbs, and macerated strawberries. Portions are fine for two people. For each flight sold, $1 goes towards their parent company's nonprofit Rise & Shine. Prepare to wait if you go on a weekend. But it was nice sitting on the patio and enjoying brunch on a sunny Saturday.

Not sure if they were understaffed, but we saw our waitress maybe every 10-15 min and didn't get waters or greeted until 10 min after we were seated, however there was no wait to be seated, and she was walking/talking with no urgency.
