My partner had the salad. It was practically 90% lettuce. He had better salad with more interesting ingredients elsewhere for a lower price. The cashier said they roast their chicken in store but it tastes like cold bland sandwich meat. Truly the chicken in the salad tasted as if it was boiled then refrigerated. After adding the red sauce to the salad it made it a bit better but he would not reccomend a salad from this location if you are wanting something that doesn't just taste like lettuce. My sandwich was ok as well. They overdid it on the mayo. It would drip out and I needed to use a lot of napkins. Truly if it had less mayo it would have been such a pleasant experience cuz the rest was ok. The best part is the crunchy garlic bits they put in there but other than that it wasn't anything special. I tried to be brave and even had the lemonade. There is a reason they have sugar packets there because all their lemonades are tooooo sour. For two fountain drinks and the two pics we paid approx $45. We left still not satisfied from the flavors but full enough to not want to get more food. This was an experience where I truly regret not going to the cafe next door due to the cost and the lack of flavor profile in the protein and overall salads. Mama Chen's Chinese Chicken Salad (9/10): they filled this salad up! I was pleasantly surprised by the large serving size, but it also made sense considering the price. This MF in CM is on the corner of Adams & Harbor, and opened up in late July. BTW, it was buzzing at lunch in late Aug. MF is near where we play golf, so its conveniently located. I had the avo & quinoa salad w/ chicken as an extra. My playing partners also ordered salads. The salad was a big portion bc I kept on eating, and it seemed like it took a while to get to the bottom of the bowl. My partners also enjoyed their salads. The only downside to my salad was the price (~$17) w/ chicken. MF is a casual place where you order at the counter, and your food is brought to your table. The service is friendly & warm. The workers were moving quickly like bees to service the customers. The place is very organized w/ a wall that holds pick up and food delivery orders. I'm glad MF opened up in the area. The staff was great and got everyone's meals out pretty quick, and it was busy. The service at all of these locations is five steps above. They will walk around to see if you need anything, and will ask if they can take your tray and trash if you are finished with your meal. I love the whole dine-in experience, from the order at the counter, to when you take a seat, then scan the QR code at the table to enter your order number. When your food is ready, the waiter will bring it right to you. I always seem to order the Peruvian Steak Sandwich, because it is just so good! Adding avocado is a great option too!
