Stopped in for breakfast this morning after doctor appointments. Montana was our server and was patient and kind. We started with coffee and cappuccino. The ambiance was upbeat and positive. I had the two egg breakfast with sliced tomatoes, bacon and sausage and my wife had the chicken club sandwich. They also offer fresh baked pies and cookies which sell out fast.
I was surprised by how much I loved the ube French toast. It looked a little deceiving when it arrived because it seemed skimpy on the cream. However, each half was stuffed with cream and there was an extra dollop on top so there was plenty to go around. The ube cream was not too sweet which allowed the ube flavor to shine through. I don't think the mango and blueberry sauce was necessary because it detracted from the ube. The brioche was also surprisingly soft which made me wanting more after every bite. My main entree was the bacon breakfast burrito which perfectly satisfied my craving. The tater tots were crispy, the bacon added saltiness, and the eggs made it filling. It came with a side of salsa verde which was necessary when I wanted to change up the flavor. I also loved the sisig burrito. The pork belly was a bit too fatty in some bites for me but it was balanced out by the other ingredients: kalamansi mayo, fontina, eggs, red onion, and French fries. The mayo is really what brought the burrito together. I loved the flour tortilla on both of them. We came towards the end of the day so it was pretty empty and the service was good. The inside is very home-like so it had a comfortable atmosphere.

My husband got the breakfast burrito and I got the breakfast sandwich and then we split the ube French toast bc why not. My breakfast sandwich was one of the best I've ever had no joke. The fact that they add a hash brown in it is a game changer and the bread is amazing. 10/10 would recommend! And the French toast was hood but very rich. Had a great brunch experience and would definitely come back!

I've been meaning to try this location for the longest time! My friend and I headed over after a cycle class. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait, but there was a long time. Plan ahead if you're a larger group cause this place can get busy on the weekends. Parking is also a struggle, we needed to park near Walgreens. My friend and I shared a breakfast burrito, it was delicious. I also really wanted the Uber French toast, but didn't want the whole portion. Our waiter recommended just getting the Ube cream on a side of regular French toast and it hit the spot! Worth a try, head over!
Me and my cousin decided to hit this place up after hanging out in the morning. Parking could be a hassle because it is a small strip mall with several other businesses and parking fills up quick but we got lucky and found a spot. We waited outside before a host directed us to our table that was inside. Place was pretty busy! I looked through the menu thoroughly and already was dead set on what to get. Our server brought us water and my cousin got the chicken and waffles while I had the chilaquiles! We also ordered drinks and I opted for the yuzu lemonade. The yuzu lemonade came out and it was very refreshing! A slight hint of yuzu followed by a smooth tasting lemonade! Our food came out and holy hell there is a lot of it when you order the chilaquiles! I tried a chip and it was crispy even though it was slathered in the sauce. All of which was delicious along with the shredded pork, sunny side up egg and what looked to be pickled onions! Overall with the drink and dish, jt was $29 with tip as well. Pretty good price considering all the food that was served! I was pretty satisfied! Service was quick and chill as well. If you're in the area definitely get your breakfast fix here! Just maybe worry a lil about parking! You'll find a spot though I promise haha!

Also, to the chefs who put "extra love, time and dedication" into those pies... thank you! I am so appreciative. Back story, they sold out but made extra ones special for me to pick up at the end of the day yesterday. The lemon filing was absolutely delicious and the meringue was extra fluffy, like eating a cloud. You saved Thanksgiving, period

Our sever was helpful and informed us of popular options and a run down of the menu. Additionally, they were always ready to refill our water cups! I got the ube toast, and it was such a unique taste that I loved! While you could split it and add a savory option, I was able to eat it myself and not feel uncomfortably stuffed. 5/5
I was greeted by an amazing lady named Mimi. She was so sweet with an inviting, warm soul. I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito, wet, and added avocado. It was delicious. And huge! The eggs inside were so creamy. Cooked just perfectly. They have a beautiful pastry case with amazing desserts. Took several treats to go. I highly recommend this family owned restaurant & bakery. Clean restrooms. Easy parking in the front. They have multiple locations.

Chilaquiles, fried chicken and waffles and the pork belly bowl, all delicious! Sat outside with the dog, the weather was warm and the street was generally quiet maybe because the holiday weekend.
The ingredients were very high end, and I really enjoyed the hash brown in my breakfast sandwich, and the portions were HUGE! I'm giving the coffee a 0/10 though. The "cold brew" was watery and weak, the vanilla latte was more milk than coffee The service was a little slow, and there was no toilet paper in any of the women's room stalls. Ambiance was nice though!
Wow. Whatever you're doing, take a break and head down to Toast & Bakery. Food is CRAZY good, service was on point, and the restaurant itself has a very laid back and chill vibe. We had the Pork Belly Banh Mi and my bro had the Pork Belly bowl. Do yourself the favor and get down here for a great meal!
Girls day out and we decided to pick this spot. Their brunch looks really delicious! We got their UBE FRENCH TOAST- it was very rich and good. I would get this again! SISIG BURRITO- pork belly and chicharon! I usually love the sisig Filipino plate but saw this as a fusion in burrito form and decided to get it. It wasn't bad but I would pick another dish next time. Love this brunch spot with great food, drinks, and service! We visited again with friends and ordered Chicken and Waffles, Smash Burger and Chilaquiles with cocktails and mocktails. Everything was so good! We didn't get dessert this time but check out their mini pies made in-house. read more
We came on a Saturday morning for brunch and I was anticipating a wait, but was pleasantly surprised we were able to get seated within minutes. It was hard to figure out what I wanted as everything sounded delicious, but we ultimately decided on the Classic Breakfast Plate ($16), Sisig Burrito ($18) and the Ube Pie ($8). The Classic Breakfast Plate was delicious and I loved the perfectly scrambled eggs, super crispy hash browns and buttery sourdough. The Sisig Burrito packed some heat and was delicious as well. The ube pie was a tasty mix of fluffy ube whipped cream atop of a cool coconut pudding-like filling. The crust was pretty flaky and yummy as well. Our food came out in a timely manner and service was friendly. I really appreciated how helpful the wait staff was, and I liked how they also provide crayons and coloring sheets to little ones to help keep them entertained. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. The inside felt a little bit run down and isn't a huge restaurant so seating felt a tiny bit tight, but we still enjoyed our food and our time there. What I ordered: - Ube french toast - Chicken & biscuits - Caprese panzanella Flavor from ube cream on the french toast was not too strong or artificial tasting. However, the blueberries overpowered the mango-coconut sauce and crème brûlée butter, and the french toast itself was a little too soggy for my liking. Chicken was fried perfectly, had a nice crunch and decent heat. The biscuits were dry and needed more gravy. The capresse panzanella was a good compliment to the other two dishes, very refreshing and light. read more

went here for brunch finally and got to try their iconic ube french toast, which did not disappoint! their chilaquiles was also delicious and we also got some coffee and matcha, which were both delicious. overall, staff were super friendly and welcoming and it's a great spot for brunch! read more

Best flavor combinations for all the foodies out there. Deliciousness!! This is a small cafe/bakery with flavorful food combinations. The servers were very nice and speedy with our order. I recommend going early before the rush crowd. Breakfast and lunch are on the menu, they are only open until 3:00. read more
Walked in for brunch and got seated really quickly which was unexpectedly wonderful for a Sunday brunch. The food itself was absolutely DELICIOUS! The breakfast burrito that we made vegetarian with avocado was the perfect combinations of crispy hash brown, soft egg and avocado, and came with a nice warm tortilla. The salsa it came with was also delicious, and I added tapatio for a nice kick. The ube french toast is a killer every time, it's not too sweet on its own without the maple syrup. The fruits add some tartness and the French toast is cooked really well. My only complaint is that the server was rushing us too much. She took our plate away before we finished our last bites. That also happened with the credit card tray where the tray was taken away before I could take my credit card back, making me have to drive 26 miles just to come pick up my card before they closed. If that didn't happen, this would be a 5 star spot for sure read more
They have great bloody Mary's. I will say the chicken and waffles were half good, the breading/batter was incredibly hard, definitely wouldn't recommend for someone w sensitive teeth. But the waffle itself was very soft and fluffy. The staff is friendly and attentive. read more

This place has been on my radar for a while, and I wish I came sooner! We arrived on a Sunday morning and were surprised there wasn't any wait. Usually there's 1 hour+ wait times whenever I call on a Sunday morning. Food: 10000/10 -- amazing all around. The portions were decent, especially for the price! All good things to say about the sisig burrito (pairs so well with their house Mexican hot sauce) and fried chicken & waffles. Service: 10/10! Everyone was so kind, attentive, and helpful. If you're looking for a nice sit down brunch spot with a variety of Filipino inspired foods or classic brunch dishes, this is the place to check out! How have I not tried this spot before!? This is by far going to be my new spot. Everything here is delicious. The service is amazing and i love the modern contemporary look inside. It is so amazing. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Let's start. First got the mimosa flight. My favorite was the passion fruit but they're all soooo goood. Sisig burrito. It's so favorable and well made that you don't need sauce. The playing looked so beautiful that i didn't want to eat it. Overall i wish it had more meat but overall good! 4.9/5 The pork belly bowl. That stolen the show by far. I can't describe it, but it was amazing and PACKED with meat. Every bite had flavor! I would give it a 10/5 if I could but I'll give it a 5/5. Ube French toast is well balanced of sweetness and flavor. You didn't even need syrup and the ube is on point. Overall this place is good hands down! Service and the staff is extremely friendly and very welcoming! Cute little restaurant that felt very comfortable with the ambiance. The Champagne Flights were a hit to my husband and I. Definitely recommend the flights of Mimosas, the Pork Belly Bowl and Ube Toast was a hit! So much flavor within their food and you can tell made with love for sure! This was our first time here as well, and their Sisig Burrito was good, very light not too heavy, which we were surprised. read more
I have to come in at least once a month! I crave their breakfast sandwich and their French toast so often! They're always so sweet, quick and attentive! 5 stars - A solo breakfast well spent! Stopped by Toast in Costa Mesa for a solo breakfast and had such a lovely, peaceful experience. I came in early and happened to be the only customer at the time, which I honestly didn't mind -- it made the vibe even more relaxing. Food & Drinks: I ordered the Ube French Toast and a Bloody Mary -- and wow, both were incredible! * The Ube French Toast was a standout -- thick, fluffy slices of toast, beautifully soaked and golden, topped with ab ube whipped cream and blueberries that added just the right amount of sweetness. It was rich without being heavy, and the color made it almost too pretty to eat (almost). * The Bloody Mary was perfectly spiced, not too salty or over-the-top like some can be. It had a great balance of heat and tang, with a fresh garnish that tied it all together. Definitely one of the better ones I've had locally. Service: My server was genuinely kind and friendly. He made me feel welcome, didn't rush me, and was nice enough to let me plug in and use an outlet while I enjoyed my meal. That small act of hospitality made the whole experience feel warm and laid-back. The Vibe: The ambiance was just right -- fresh flowers on every table (such a sweet touch), great music playing in the background, and a cozy, modern aesthetic that feels stylish without being pretentious. Whether you're meeting friends or just enjoying some quiet solo time like I was, Toast is a great spot to unwind and treat yourself. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu -- but I might just order that ube French toast again because... wow. read more
I did not like the Churro French Toast. First of all it is literally toast. It is not egg wash dipped. Second of all its not crispy. The only thing churro about it is that there are mini Churro chunks sprinkled on top. I don't know why I thought the French Toast would have a crispy churro coating. For my own personal taste, the biggest infraction is the tropical flavors they try to put on it. I preemptively opted out of the guava puree. But I got completely caught off guard by the passion fruit orange blossom whipped cream. It made me gag. They have two types of bacon... Regular crispy or Millionaire's Bacon which is thick cut smoked candied bacon that is not crispy. The latter of which was actually pretty good. They no longer have a variety of bakery items like they used to a few years ago. Now they focus on homemade pies that look like they could feed 2-4 people. The bake the pies fresh on Tuesdays and Fridays. Next time I'll stick with the breakfast sandwich. read more

I've been wanting to come to this place for the past few years (lol). Due to a long wait every time I came on weekends, I gave up and went to other places. FINALLY I got a chance to try. 1pm on weekdays was super chill. The staff opened the door as we came and checked in with us a few times throughout our meal. They were all super kind, friendly, and helpful! We got - ube french toast (5/5), - siggis (?) burrito (5+/5) my personal favorite!!! Please try this instead of the breakfast burrito; I am sure the breakfast burrito is good too, but you can get that in other places. This one had a very unique, almost citrusy taste, moist inside despite pork belly and fries inside. I have NEVER had this kind of burrito, and I honestly loved it so much. - yuju casper chicken sandwich (4.8/5) - fries (5+/5) it's an additional $4, but realllly crispy. My mom and I were amazed. Tip: if you are a saucy person, you can ask for salsa, hot sauce, and even fresh jalapeños! read more

Toast definitely doesn't disappoint!! Came by for breakfast on Saturday and tried their Sisig Burrito and Omg! I felt like I was on vacation!! It's so flavorful with the calamansi sauce. My man ordered the pork belly bowl and ...it's amazingly perfect every time! Met the owner as he was walking around greeting guests in his restaurant ...which is totally cool because many owners don't meet their customers. We will be back again. Thank you toast for making us look forward to the weekends!! read more

The food has a hint of Filipino and Korean dishes and is super flavorful. I highly recommend the ube French toast, the mascarpone is very light, not overly sweet and very flavorful. I enjoyed the Korean sandwhich a lot. The chicken was very crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, had a pickle and some kimchi for the crunch and the bread was really soft and toasted at all the right spots lol it was kinda pricey for just the sandwich about $18 with no fries or any side dish tho. We also tried the sisig burrito, it had a crunch from the pork, and packed with some French fries so it's very filling. It was missing something for sure, I think if it had a side of salt and vinegar sauce (this typically comes with the Filipino dish sisig) then it would've been a little better. But I think maybe also it was kind of bland, needed something else to add a little umph. Also very expensive about $17 with no side as well. Just the burrito. The lattes were good but fair warning they do not come with espresso so you have to ask to add a shot if you want caffeine. Kind of weird I thought bc I just automatically all lattes had caffeine lol I did like the pandan latte, again not overly sweet and a subtle taste of pandan. My friend also enjoyed the matcha latte and recommends it. What made our experience really great is the service from our waitress Normandie. She was super attentive, friendly and just a delight. Her personality shined and she always checked on us. Thanks!! The parking is super limited, we ended up having to park in the wal greens across and walking, I'm glad we didn't get towed lol ambiance is cute and clean and simple. They did have some pies to sell in the front that we wanted to try, like ube coconut pie, strawberry rhubarb. Definitely looked worth trying! read more
Toast is one of my favorite bunch spots in the OC. Their buttermilk fried chicken always delivers-- crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The ube french toast is not too sweet and has so many vibrant flavors with blueberry and mango. Definitely come early on a weekend! read more

Very Disappointing Experience I walked in and wasn't greeted by anyone. There were two staff members a runner and a manager working, yet I sat for 13 minutes without being acknowledged or offered a menu. Meanwhile, three other guests who arrived after me were greeted and seated promptly. I came in hoping to enjoy a quick breakfast while waiting for my haircut, but unfortunately, the service--or lack of it--completely changed my plans. The place was far from busy, with only two tables occupied, so I can't understand the reason for the neglect. Not even a bye as i walked out. Very disappointing. read more

Went back here a couple times and this place never miss! I love the foods and experience every time. The staff are super friendly and the service is always great. What I got: - Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich: it was very flavorful and crunchy, the coleslaw was add a great touch to it. 10/10 - Fried Chicken and Waffle: offers 3 flavors options, i got orange & spicy 8/10 - Green Goddess Salad: very freshing but i did wish its a bit saucier 7/10 read more

Service is not great.... I ordered coffee no creamer no Sugar no salt no spoon to mix my coffee the bacon needs to be more crispy the waitress drop off the food walked away really fast didn't let me ask for anything but Mimi was so nice she came over she had to the food was ok I don't like sweet eggs read more

I don't remember if there was explicit bike parking, but they have a little sidewalk like outdoor area with a low fence. If you sit outside your bike can be right next to you.
