After a very long day for me and my children we decided to eat lunch at Bryans. My 7 year old was exhausted and STARVING. I thought, instead of McDonalds and/or Taco Bell we'd go to Bryans. My kids love it there. The food is good, fast and appeases everyone. Well, yesterday was a different story. My daughter didn't like what was served and the owner didn't like her behavior so she threw us out. Gave us the bill, and told us to leave. Yes, she was being disruptive , yes she was HANGRY, she needed to eat. But instead of us being allowed to eat we were thrown out on the street. Bill was $40 for lunch ! How can anybody not like this place? It is a classic New Jersey Diner. Great coffee, home fries are perfect. (lots of places fail miserably when it comes to home fries and coffee.) The lunch specials are creative but not far off of what classical things you would expect in a local diner. The owner is a very hard working lady and a pleasure to chat with if you can catch her not running around. Shannon the waitress ought to have her own show, she is fantastic. Drove by this place hundreds of times and never went in until today. A great little lunch and breakfast place in a small town atmosphere. Pretty sure I saw Aunt Bee and Opie in a booth in the back. We ordered omelettes and they were great, especially the chili cheese. Both came with home fries and toast. We also had their rice pudding which was fresh and home made. I am restricting this review to the Taylor Ham Egg and Cheese Sandwich... GREAT bread, probably the BEST roll on a TH&C that I have ever had! They are very generous with the Taylor Ham as well. I can control by statement next time, but there was WAY too much ketchup. Great value at $4.8x including tax, just ask to be light on ketchup. Otherwise pretty much PERFECT TH&C sandwich. read more

I will no longer be a customer here after seeing how poorly they treat their customers. My family member was highly discriminated while trying to use a food voucher due to covid-19. When trying to do so - the owner got on the phone - yelled, hung up multiple times & did not honor the voucher. This place talks down on their customers, especially in times of need. Every town needs a place like Bryans. Plenty of counter space and the old style bar stools. A reasonable amount of seating at tables as well. The people who work here are very nice and go out of their way to remember you. I make this my stop for breakfast every Saturday morning. All the usual fare for a luncheonette breakfast. Nice large servings. I have an egg white omelet with onions and cheese with a side of Canadian bacon. The Canadian bacon is probably the best you will find. They give you 6 slices ( not too thick) and cook it on the iron grill in the butter that is already on the grill. Great muffins. If you like Taylor ham, cheese and egg on a hard roll, you will not find a better one in NJ. People also seem to really like their pancakes. Big seller. read more

The food here is good. However how i just saw the owner treat an employee was absolutely horrible. Completely embarrassed and belittled this employee again and again and again in front of customers. There is absolutely no reason to act like this. Bring the employee in the back away from customers and correct them. Great simple food served by very nice people. Family place related to Bills in Chester, NJ. Both local hometown old school spots that you can't go wrong with whatever you order. My wife and I have lived in the town for decades and have been going to Bryan's for decades. Yesterday almost finished our breakfast and suddenly the owner is in our face berating us because we put a couple of items on the window sill to keep curtain from hitting us. Usually the food is good although with everywhere portions have down sized and you pay a little just for addition of pepper and onion added to your potatoes. The service is good. But this sudden attack was a terrible end of breakfast and start of the day. Either it was a bad day for her or just a sign of the times demonstrating that hate and frustration is permeating everywhere. read more

If you forget the cash no worries they were thoughtful enough to have an ATM (I hate cash only places that don't have atms). Coffee is always good, the staff is quick to ask you for a refill, I have never been disappointed with either breakfast or lunch. We stopped here on our way to Rhode Island. It was super easy to find coming off the exit, with ample parking. Although we arrived 45 minutes before closing, we were still greeted with friendly smiles and excitement from the staff. We were impressed by the creative specials offered, and though we opted for a more traditional breakfast, we were not disappointed! Everything came out quickly and our waitress even added a candle to the French toast after hearing it was my birthday (which they ended up putting on the house as well). To top it off, they offered us coffee to go for our trip, and came out to our car to give us a few bags of cookies and even slices of bacon for our dogs! We couldn't believe how genuinely caring everyone at Bryan's was, and will absolutely stop again on our way back! read more
