W-O-W (with-out-words) It isn't often that a home services provider has your best interests in mind, but that was my experience with Johnny Gutierrez of Bryant Electric Services (BES). I had recently purchased and installed a Honeywell programmable light switch (per the instructions) but couldn't get it to work properly. Part of the issue was the original wiring wasn't color coded plus the outside light fixture was wired to work off of two different light switches. This DIYer wasn't particularly enthused about having to call an electrician but I had no choice on this one. I called BES in the morning, Johnny arrived that afternoon and had it sorted out in no time, giving me specific instructions on which wire went where, all for a $59.00 service call. Like I said, it is a rare find to have a tradesman work with you when you are just "slightly" out of your depth. I'll definitely be giving BES a call for any future electrical needs. read more

We've had nothing but excellent customer service from Bryant Electric, over a number of years at two different homes. Our most recent experience was the largest effort to date, involving installation of several light fixtures and quite a few improvements to the house's electrical system that were done improperly when it was built only 8 years ago. Nick came out for two full days of work, and he did an outstanding job. Nick is excellent at trouble shooting, explaining what he has found and what he proposes to do about it, and accomplishing the work as quickly and reasonably as possible. For the work that was done, we did not feel that the price was too high. Someone with less expertise might have taken longer and charged more, even if their rate was lower. I had a phase converter, transformer, a temperature control unit and a process chiller that had to be wired, a tall order for sure. The price they had originally quoted me was already really low and they had a deal were if you schedule something immediately after getting the quote they will take off another 10% which they did. That ended up dropping the price down to about $1,961 which is FAR lower than anyone else I can think of. Booth was the technician and the installation was very tidy and very well planned out. He was very friendly and competent for sure. It's nice to know the next time I need some work done all I have to do is call Bryant and schedule something. No need to waste my time calling around and getting a quote from anyone else. read more

We have been using Bryant for 10 years for a variety of installations and repairs in our 65 year old house. Some of the work they have done for us includes: installing can lights, installing a complicated can fan in a plaster ceilinged bathroom, installing high speed lines, installing fans, new outlets, and dimmer switches. We have worked with Nick many times and he is always courteous, knowledgeable, helpful, and persistent in solving some tricky electrical issues. The first time i worked with bryant was in renovating an ancient building downtown to become a bar/bakery. quite possibly the most complicated project ive took on. the building was overgrown with bad wiring alongside good. there where some major power issues they had to work thru. Out of all my subs Bryant electric was the most professional consistent and responsive to our constantly changing needs. If what your looking for is cheap then that is what you will get. Had several tricky electrical issues in a home I had moved into about a year ago including a pesky short of some sort that kept tripping a gfi circuit. Booth, the tech from Bryant Service Company came to the rescue. After diagnosing each issue he sat with me, explained each problem, and gave an estimate so I could sign off on the work. I called Bryant the morning after I had lost electricity in 2 of my bedrooms. Brooke, the dispatcher was courteous and very helpful arranging for an appointment that day between 2 and 5. Josh, Bryant's technician, called me at 1 pm and was ready to come out to look at my issue. He was polite and clearly interested in solving my problem. I am in the process of remodeling my kitchen and called Bryant becausee I had used them before. They did the intial work and scheduled a follow up time for when the counter tops are due to be installed. It didn't appear that they could install the undercounter lighting without running the wiring above the cabinets and then running it down inside the cupboards. However, they found a way! We have used Bryant Electric twice since moving to Austin a year ago. The service we received from Josh on April 26, 2018 was excellent. Scheduled for 4/27, Bryant had a cancellation and Josh arrived at the new expected time. Josh was polite and friendly and he listened to a description of the issue. Booth did an excellent job completing the tasks I had on my list. He solved the issue with a blinking can fixture, replaced the ballast on a fluorescent fixture and installed can lights that I had trouble replacing after changing out the bulbs.
