On one of the coldest days of the cold 2014 winter, my furnace broke down. I was able to call in the morning, have someone come by the afternoon of that day, the individual identified the culprit part after about 45 minutes, there was a place in Windsor that had the spare part, he drove to get it, came back and replaced it. Would have preferred that the technician that came over be a little older (he appeared in late 20's) and seemed unsure at times about some of the components in the furnace. He was also a little heavy on the sales pitch for me to buy a new furnace. But overall the problem was fixed that day so can't complain too much. read more

Geoff and Craig did a great job installing my new boiler system. They arrived on time, got to work right away, and cleaned up after themselves. They obviously take pride in their work as evidenced by the neat appearance of the installation. Both of them answered any questions I had about the new system and boilers in general. 20/02/24 My mother's boiler stopped working called Bryant H+C repair person went by and after paying 129.00 + tax left a 3000.00 quote to repair so I asked why so much you can buy a new one for that amount (repairperson wanted to change controller and thermostat) anyway, salesman came by and I asked if he could quote a new unit which he did the Quote 11,500.00, while visiting I asked for 2 AA batteries which I changed in the thermostat, the display read 1 degree a light went off in my head, I set the proper value and the boiler lit up and has been working for 3 days so far. I can count myself lucky, others who have no ability to repair things would have been dinked 11,500.00 for 2 AA batteries plus would have frozen until the new boiler was installed in February. Buyer Beware, we live in dishonest times, practice due diligence when getting anything done do not take anyone for granted, many companies pay workers commissions when they sell jobs making it tempting for them to inflate the repair which in turn allows them to make more money, it's those who have little money I feel for because they would have to sacrifice their meals in order to heat their home or water pipes would freeze causing even more damage. You never learn enough these days, be very careful out there.. read more

Misinformation provided for service call I placed a call to Bryant Heating & Cooling Service Experts (3194 Devon Dr, Windsor, ON N8X 4L2) On 8/22/2020. The representative informed that they will charge 99$ for a service technician to make a house call. I proceeded to ask if that 99$ was reimbursed if I proceed to make a purchase with their business and she told me no and that $99 is not reimbursed and that if there is any repair, that charge would just be extra. When the service technician came to the house and finished his assessment, he proceeded to write a paper invoice for a price of $227.13. When I asked why he was writing that number, he proceeded to specify that this is their NEW practice and that they now charge 102$ extra for every house call - This information was never provided by Bryant Heating & Cooling Service when I initially contacted them. Had I known a simple house call for a service technician would cost me well over $200, I would have never called them - let alone, for a technician that did not even fix any problems. This is matter of principal and having good standard practices. This new rule they had implimented (apparently since the begening of August 2020) was never relied to me over the phone prior to slapping me off with a bill from the technician - who did not even mention this additional charge until I had raised it. I had a representative over to give me a quote. I found him to be extremely arrogant. I was looking to replace my old electric heat system with a gas furnace due to the prices of electricity vs gas for the long run. The rep came over my house and I told him I did not have any duct work. He closed his binder and started walking out. As he did he told me "We don't do duct work. We pay our guys $50 or $60 bucks an hour for their work. We let the sheet metal guys who get paid minimum wage do that kind of stuff" I have since found another company who did not think doing duct work was beneath them. read more

I contacted them for a quote on either repairing or replacing my furnace after a flooded basement. They quickly set up an appointment. Then the repair man showed up and took one look at my furnace and said I need a new one. He charged me 110 dollars for the call. The sales man would be over to give me a quote later that afternoon. I said I did not ask for a repair, only a quote. The repair man said since he was called he has to charge. I called the company, but then was explained that they do not give quotes for repairs. I would have to pay, but this amount would be taken off a new furnace. That's taking advantage of people in an emergency situation.Funny, the other 2 quotes from 2 other furnace companies were free and much lower too! read more

Ok, so I'm going to start posting my review of this company in other forums, since they won't let you put your reviews, they only allow all the "5 stars" review to be put on their website so they look good. Anyways, February 12 I called Bryant's heating and cooling people to come look at my furnace because we noticed that the heat isn't circulating around the house, there's heat at the vent but it wasn't blowing. So we called for a technician and they sent Adam (nice guy) to come see what the problem was ($111.87 just for diagnostic), and he looked and saw that it was the belt that snapped off but the motor was still running (without the belt). So he went out to go buy a new belt, and put it on, it worked. The belt cost $116.39 when it should have cost probably less than $10. February 16, I noticed the house was cool, but didn't think the furnace would have messed up. February 17, I decided to go back downstairs to check on the furnace to make sure that the belt didn't snap again, but the belt was there, and the motor wasn't running. I decided to contact this company and told them everything thus far that has happened, "Sam" said he would get a technician to come. I got a call from the Technician that was on call I guess or the boss, who knows, telling me that it was probably the belt that caused the motor to stop functioning. So I told him they should fix it then, they were the one that put the belt on (I'm still not sure if that's the correct belt they should have put on because the belt I had one was thinner and I don't know too much about furnaces), and the newer technician that was on call (not Adam because this guy had a horrible accent, could barely understand what he was saying on the phone), told me that I was blaming them for the cause of the motor to stop, well hello, you guys put the belt on, if you would have put the right belt on, maybe it would still have worked, and now this guy is trying to tell me it's going to cost $400-500 to fix, well if the motor messed up before you guys have touched it, I would pay for it, but since it was working and the belt messed it up, you would think they would fix the problem they did.... Well screw that, I'll just find a company that does not overprice everything! I would compare prices with other companies for now on and use this company as a last resort. read more
